The last one filled up quickly.

More discussion on the significance of Trump, Trumpism and the Trumpsters and what it all means for Blairites.

'He's really telling them how it's going to be ... ' Grin

'Love it!' Grin

Absolutely. No more "we are led by very, very stupid people".

"Please be forewarned prior to making a very ...expensive mistake! THE UNITED STATES IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS"

Incredible stuff. Who would have thought that a politician would ever arise who wants to work for the people and not the corporations?

OP posts:
OhYouBadBadKitten · 04/12/2016 13:51

presumably he will bring back all of the products he has manufactured outside of the us and have them made back in the us?

Kaija · 04/12/2016 14:00

Claig, I have a bridge you might be interested in purchasing.

Inkanta · 04/12/2016 14:07

'Incredible stuff. Who would have thought that a politician would ever arise who wants to work for the people and not the corporations?'

Yes Claig - credit where credit is due, and that was a gem this afternoon. Corbyn is the only one I know who sends several tweets a day but none like this one. Both seem to need to speak directly to the people.

WouldHave · 04/12/2016 14:12

Incredible stuff. Who would have thought that a politician would ever arise who wants to work for the people and not the corporations?

That would of course explain why he has appointed as Treasury Solicitor the epitome of elitism, a former partner in Goldman Sachs. Oh, wait ...

claig · 04/12/2016 14:13

'Both seem to need to speak directly to the people.'

Yes because the media is biased against both of them. The media really justs works for the Establishment. They all went to the same university, all mates together.

Trump and Corbyn bypass them. But Corbyn doesn't have the common sense of Trump or his courage. Trump called the entire mainstream media "a room full of liars". The only other people who had ever said that was the "people" themselves.

OP posts:
WouldHave · 04/12/2016 14:13

The Guardian was in tears, the people were jubilant.

Neither of those statements is true.

claig · 04/12/2016 14:15

WouldHave, as Trump said

"so now they are complaining that we have appointed a billionaire for commerce. We want people who know how to make money, right? I don't want to appoint someone who knows how to go broke"

OP posts:
Kaija · 04/12/2016 14:19

Trump is certainly an expert in going broke. How many bankruptcies does he have to his name?

WouldHave · 04/12/2016 14:21

I don't think people are specifically complaining that he has (allegedly) appointed as a billionnaire; what they are correctly pointing out is that the appointment shows what a total hypocrite he is and how he manifestly is favouring the elite and the big corporations. There is evidence that those who voted for him are already getting hacked off, even before he has taken up office.

Kaija · 04/12/2016 14:21

And then there is the little issue of tax.

Alec Baldwin's response to Trump's tweet: release your tax return and I'll stop"

www.independent.co.uk/news/people/donald-trump-alec-baldwin-mocking-stop-tax-returns-a7454816.html

WouldHave · 04/12/2016 14:22

Kaija, I think the answer to that is six Grin

Kaija · 04/12/2016 14:27

Quite a record

Lweji · 04/12/2016 14:34

You're repeating yourself more than usual, claig. In need of debugging?

The Guardian was in tears
Why?
And was that the owners, the directors, the journalists or the readers?

claig · 04/12/2016 14:45

'You're repeating yourself more than usual, claig'

Good points warrant repetition.

'The Guardian was in tears
Why?
And was that the owners, the directors, the journalists or the readers?'

It was the whole lot of them. Because their whole world had ended and the people had won.

'There is evidence that those who voted for him are already getting hacked off, even before he has taken up office.'

There is a difference between evidence and a BBC Newsnight report.
There is a difference between evidence and mainstream media spin.

For anyone who's actually interested, Google results say that Austria's first polls will be out at UK 4pm when polling stations close, but if it's too close it could be decided only by Thursday.

claig · 04/12/2016 14:51

A lot of US political analysts are onto the latest tactic of the mainstream media. The analysts say that the mainstream media are trying to sow discontent among Trump fans by lying to them that Trump is letting them down before he even gets in. The analysts have forewarned Trump fans of the dastardly tactics the mainstream media are capable of in trying to undermine the next President of the United States. They will have to get up earlier in the morning to fool Trump fans, that's for sure!

OP posts:
Lweji · 04/12/2016 14:52

Because their whole world had ended and the people had won
How has their world ended?
They're still in business. The UK is still the UK.
And which people have won?
How is just over and just under 50% of voters "the people"?

claig · 04/12/2016 14:53

"Google results say that Austria's first polls will be out at UK 4pm"

Thanks, Lweji. I doubt it will be close, rigging will have probably been prevented.

OP posts:
claig · 04/12/2016 14:57

'How has their world ended? '

Because the elites will lose and the elites pay their salaries, and the elites will not be happy if they lose.

'They're still in business.'

Weren't they making large losses? I can't remember

'The UK is till the UK'

And long may it remain that way!

'And which people have won? '

What Trup calls "the forgotten people", "the silent majority", not the spinners the BBC always put on TV and the political class who serve the elites

'How is just over and just under 50% of voters "the people"?'

Majority vote, democracy. Elites don't like democracy, but that's tough.

OP posts:
Lweji · 04/12/2016 14:58

by lying to them that Trump is letting them down before he even gets in

Which exactly have they been lying about? Can you show any lies by news media about Trump actions and appointments?
Can you state how is each of his appointments a solid step towards his promises?

claig · 04/12/2016 15:02

'Can you show any lies by news media about Trump actions and appointments? '

I could do, but it would take all day to enumerate them. The best thing is if you use google and type in

"room full of liars" Trump appointments

the list returned will probably show at least half of the lies they have been dishing out.

OP posts:
Lweji · 04/12/2016 15:09

'How has their world ended? '

Because the elites will lose and the elites pay their salaries, and the elites will not be happy if they lose.

So, it hasn't actually ended.
How do you think the elites losing will lead to the Guardian salaries stopping?
Who are these elites that pay their salaries?

'And which people have won? '

What Trup calls "the forgotten people", "the silent majority", not the spinners the BBC always put on TV and the political class who serve the elites

(See below, I'm keeping this for context, because context is everything, even if some people prefer to spin based on snippets. And I'm not talking about the BBC, but about the king of spin, Trump)

'How is just over and just under 50% of voters "the people"?'

Majority vote, democracy. Elites don't like democracy, but that's tough.

All very nice, but you didn't answer the question. A majority of the people voted Brexit. A vote led to an electoral college win for Trump. In which case a majority of the people actually voted for someone other than Trump. Wouldn't you say that was the people saying that they didn't want Trump and that anyone else would be better? And that the people spoke against Trump, but the establishment put him in power?
