Thought I'd start a thread on this. Going to be interesting as it's Hammond's first one. Don't think he'll be a theatrical rabbit puller like Osborne. Any predictions or hopes?

Any think the real budget story is the change to IR35 taxation for contractors. This is basically a tax grab that's going to hit ordinary self employed contractors. It will make them pay tax as an employee without any employee benefits. 9000 contractors look set to leave public service on this basis. The UK hasn't enough public service employees to manage Brexit as it is and now over 9000 of the most specialist workers are set to jump ship. Can't believe they went ahead with this. It is sheer madness.
