I was watching that at the time he said it. Captain Pantsdown must be so deluded that he actually believed that he was right and the exit poll was completely wrong. He must live in a bubble - it was obvious that the LibDems were going to get a pasting, they have been completely sidelined.
LibDems traded their soul (and USP) so that a few MPs could feel important for a few years - and this is where it has got them. Clegg should have made tuition fees a matter of principle - if he had been seen to stand up to the Tories then perhaps things would have been different. Actually feel a little sorry for them as they have generally put the country's interests first duriung their spell in coalition.

I was saddened that no one at the Beeb thought of getting hold of a nacho hat; he could have nibbled a bit and honour would have been satisfied. I thought those people were meant to be amongst the brightest.
