On another thread, I saw Ed Miliband referred to as "Red Ed".

I mean, yes he isn't Blair thank goodness but he and his policies are hardly Communist.

Does anyone feel like this country don't understand what a really truly left party looks like if centre-left Ed is referred to as "Red"? I know he has quite a lefty background but he isn't bloody Stalin!

You're right, he is not 'Red Ed'. But our major parties have so few core beliefs that differentiate them from each other and they all come from the same universities and study the same degrees that the only thing they left is to try and scare the people - over Red Ed or the NHS or Farage.

The people are not falling for the charade, which is why the campaigns are flat-lining amd failing to engage the people.

I thought he was 'Red Ed' because that's the official colour of the Labour Party. Blush

Yes I definitely agree claig. Using such over-the-top stereotypes that totally don't fit the manifesto/party/person just denigrates all serious debate.

English people have been programmed to fear socialism by the right wing media. Hence Red Ed.
