Half of UKIP voters admit to being ‘racially prejudiced’

Almost half of Ukip's supporters declare themselves to be 'racially prejudiced', yet the majority say they are inherently not racist.

Pollster YouGov asked the party's voters if they consider themselves racially prejudiced, to which 42% said yes, while 49% of Ukippers said no.

However, 28% admitted to having racist views, a higher figure than voters for the other main parties.

It's not really half is it, they only took the data from 2788 the people they polled on yougov. Headlines misleading much?

That's how polls work - you take a large sample and try to make sure it is representative by correcting for background, demographics, etc.

What did you expect? A legally mandatory question posed to every single card-carrying UKIP member?

Do you have a problem with polls in general because they never ask every single person?

They are a racist party, if you support them you are either racist or ignorant of their true values.
