Hi all,
I am taking a flyer and putting this here rather than in books discussions. What with the latest issues in Israel/Palestine I am thinking (yet again) that i really should be more well informed. Haven't got time right now for multi-volume, most comprehensive academic tome ever, but I would like to make time for a one-volume, serious, balanced and readable history of events in the Middle East during the 20th century (again, would be nice to go back further but I'm trying to be realistic about this). Has anyone read a book that fits the bill? If it's available on Kindle that would be a bonus. Any recommendations would be very welcome.
