I hope he filibusters the Lord's reform bill into oblivion in his own inimitable way (along with Christopher Chope, Priti Patel, Philip Hollobone, and other sound Tories) - and in the process, they teach the Lib Dems a real lesson.
For the record, I support a partially elected second chamber - but don't really care too much, and definitely can't support the concrete proposals in this dogs' dinner of a Bill - particularly the permanent power it would give to the Lib Dems.
The Lib Dems need to be shown that their blackmail won't work. Then, maybe, if they support some mainstream positions on immigration (discourage crap migrants, everyone must speak English), Europe (sovereignty back please!), education (wholehearted endorsement of Gove's ideas), and benefits (less), they can be given a mild version of Lords' reform (certainly without any sort of proportional representation!) as a final sop before they are forever annhilated in the 2015 general election.
