glasnost · 29/09/2011 10:23

OP posts:
aliceliddell · 29/09/2011 13:48

glasnost this phrase 'grow a pair' - why? Do we really want to associate principle and courage with possession of testicles?

aliceliddell · 29/09/2011 13:50

ironman should they all live in tents, then?

CaptainNancy · 29/09/2011 14:00

Why do people outside the UK think they can tell UK dwellers what to do with their political system?
Glasnost, ivanhoe, etc....

aliceliddell · 29/09/2011 14:14

glasnost we do try, but as you are no doubt aware, the meeja are often less than empathetic

breadandbutterfly · 29/09/2011 16:08

Where do glasnost and ivanhoe live then? And how can you be called ivanhoe and not live in the UK - it seems...wrong, somehow.

No, can't imagine caring about another country that I didn't actually live in myself enough to bother hanging out on its forums and haranguing its citizens. Not to say the small matter of seeming a bit patronising in that situation.

So where do you live, glasnost?

aliceliddell · 29/09/2011 16:17

bread you could think of it as internationalist solidarity? Remember that from the olden days?

tethersend · 29/09/2011 16:21

So does any of this mean that I might get my painting of a crying clown after all?

aliceliddell · 29/09/2011 16:28

Is the clown holding a/ a hammer or b/ a sickle? If not, then probably no.

crazynanna · 29/09/2011 16:31

Tethers...you will have to wait for that press shot of ShinyDave getting booted out of no 10 to get your crying clown Wink

aliceliddell · 29/09/2011 16:39

Grin @ crazy

tethersend · 29/09/2011 17:06

But will he be holding a dove, crazynanna?

And will he have one of those little ruffled collars?

It would be great if he had one of those little ruffled collars.

crazynanna · 29/09/2011 17:10

Mmmm...you'll have to wait for him to enter the Lords to get the ruffle collar.

aliceliddell · 29/09/2011 17:14

Is the collar attached to a rope? Above a trap door?

crazynanna · 29/09/2011 17:18

Nopt sure re the trap door.
But he's had a rope around his neck the whole time. Murdoch holds the other end of the rope,

MadameCastafiore · 29/09/2011 17:21

Fuck me - 'I inhabit the globe'.

Best quote I have heard for ages.

Going to teach it to DS and see what reception that gets at school.

Look where democracy got the americans - Dubya for President - Yay!!!!!

aliceliddell · 29/09/2011 18:40

crazynanna · 29/09/2011 19:49

aliceliddell · 30/09/2011 16:57

breadandbutterfly · 30/09/2011 19:11

aliceliddell · 01/10/2011 12:19

Didn't you have a march and a band down there, Glasnost? How's it going?

glasnost · 01/10/2011 15:00
