you are right. Wish the English thought the same way, we seem to buy into whatever crap about how they will make it all better and totally forget what they did before.

I think the Scottish electorate deserve a broad choice of political parties. If there is only the choice of 'socialist and unionist' or 'socialist and nationalist' then there is a danger that everyone gets too cosy, complacency creeps in and the country will eventually suffer. In the first few years of this century you could have taken the phrase... "The Scots are not stupid and will never allow the Tories by any name to regain power ..".., substituted 'British' for 'Scots' and it would have been true of the UK. But in the mid-eighties, you could have also substituted 'Labour' for 'Tories' because they were seen as completely unelectable.

A week is a long time in politics... things change.

It has been written that the Scottish Tories & Labour parties are attempting to break away from Westminister, an attempt by both to realize their ultimate gain and oust SNP,
I am Scottish and proud and Alex Salmond is the only leader who has added fuel to my fire so to speak,
Even if Mr.Salmond were to fail, I would not under circumstance vote in a Tory,
equally, I am disgusted with Labour, new or otherwise and I wish that they would just grow up.
