Oh no,no,no.

It's under the name of Mary Jenkins.

That's the Mary Jenkins who had her children privately educated and is doing everything she can to thwart free schools.

One rule for the masses, another for her eh?

(Story in Mandrake in The Daily Telegraph today. Can't find online.)

Plenty of villians but nothing pantomine about the results of their actions.

But please carry on, everytime I think you could not be a bigger twat you prove me wrong with a later post.

SWC, do you read her columns?. If you do you will ascertain that she has no problem with anyone's aspirations or possessions, her objections are that those with the money and power in Government want to screw those at the margins of society.

How can you object to that unless you also see the unemployed and poor as deserving of their fate and not a victim of circumstances.

SWC, sorry you are wrong, I have never said Tories are stupid I have however said they are selfish which is not quite the same thing now is it?

glasnost · 30/03/2011 23:12

Tories are stupid. They are the collective personification of a total lack of imagination. Polly, on the other hand, is as bright as a button hence the tories intense dislike of her.

TheJollyPirate · 30/03/2011 23:21

Er.... why is this in Politics [thick emoticon].

Last time I checked PT was a columnist with as many opinions as most others about everything.

Like all columnists you may or may not agree with her (sometimes I have done and sometimes not from what I've read - mainly through links from here).

So what name she has put her planning permission under makes no difference to me or anyone else. She isn't involved in politics - only in a paper which nails it's colours to the mast like most other rags out there.

So - it's in Politics because.......?Confused

newwave · 30/03/2011 23:25

Because Tories hate the Guardian and Polly I suspect and to be fair PT writes a "political" column

TheJollyPirate · 30/03/2011 23:27

Ah - that explains it - didn't realise she was a purely political columnist - just had her down as columnist.

GabbyLoggon · 31/03/2011 15:18

well, you need someone to balance out the Torygraphs reporting

I can understand why someone in the public eye would want to use another name for planning permission. Some may object perhaps not to the plan itself, but because of the name.

GrendelsMum · 31/03/2011 17:29

So what if a woman wants a conservatory? Who on earth cares about this kind of triviality?
