Typically, he is already thinking about how to spin and brief it - if this message from the normally very reliable "Eye Spy" Westminster gossip feed is correct

If it keeps him out of mischief, what's the harm? And if he thinks all the briefing and spinning in the world is going to make him look like a serious contender, his optimism is touching.

Who cares?
(Other than them and their families obv.)

gingercat12 · 24/03/2011 12:55

I completely agree. Who cares?

It could be any Ed and Justine.

BTW Ed and Justine, Happy wedding day, whoever you are.

It is really creepy to see politicians playing the happy family. I cannot bear another family news about the Camerons or any of them.

Carmen123 · 24/03/2011 13:52

I hope they (if it is them) are not doing because of external pressure.... Otherwise "Happy wedding day" to all Eds and Justines out there. As a matter of fact Happy wedding day to you all! Hope it is sunny and you get lovely pictures.

smee · 24/03/2011 13:55

longfingernails, how do you make the leap from that to spin? Even if it is about them, it could be just about him needing some time off or something.

Who cares sounds about right to me.

gingercat12 · 30/03/2011 08:29

So the news is true.

Congratulations Justine and Ed.

lubberlich · 30/03/2011 17:24

Amusing that he says that they hadn't married before because they were too busy.
But of course now that he is leader of the opposition and have 2 young kids they've got all the time in the fucking world. Ridiculous.
I am disappointed he has decided to join the herd by wanking on about how marriage is "good" for society.

On a personal level I don't care whether he marries or not but I do find marriage as a tool for career advancement deeply repellent. Brown did the same. As soon as he was in sniffing distance of Downing St he reinvented himself as family man.

I suspect our future PM is doing this to garner votes.

longfingernails · 30/03/2011 23:13
