Parents evening last night and cant believe how competitive parents are!!!!!

I got the impression that there was a really competitive culture between the mums and dads about childrens progress/results. Dont we all have enough on our plates without that as well? I dont remember it being like that when I was growing up - or maybe it just me......?

You do know that we teachers think that lot are all tossers?! I bet your kid is much nicer than theirs!

Well I agree - but why is this in politics?

The parents of politicians??? Maybe they were all invited to the House of Commons. It would be interesting to know how competitive the parents of our politicians were viewed to be by other parents when their children were at school.
