Secret internal memo: Labour has no economic plan

Labour has admitted that its economic policy lacks substance and detail, according to a strategy paper seen by The Times. The memo also shows that Ed Miliband was warned that the coalition?s cuts to public spending may not be much deeper than those proposed by Alistair Darling.

Strangely enough, the "impartial" BBC don't seem to be covering this story.

Pretty sure I heard something to that effect on the Today Prog (Radio 4) just now... Didn't Darling himself say pre-election that the cuts he would have to implement would be 'worse than the Thatcher era' or words to that effect?

And the coalition have??

and? we didn't have an election overnight did we that voted them back in did we?

Big deal so the Times have seen a leaked document that says is lacks substance and detail (not that they don't have one).

Not that it matters, I'm not convinced the coalition has much of a plan either - it looks to me like they've took a pair of scissors, put a blindfold on and chopped arbitrarily come up with some rough figures for how it'll all add up but not bothered to look at any consequences.

Sky only mentions it in passing on their website
