Surely.

have just read the answers and his are the only ones that appeal/have any substance imo.

I like Diane Abbot despite myself but can't take her seriously (and it's NOT because she is a woman!...how the f&ck is she going to renationalise the railways for eg??? just not realistic)

Ed Balls seems slightly mad

Andy Burnham is playing massively on WC status 'man of the people' and i hate that

and David Milliband is beyond contempt in terms of his track record to date.

Also, you've got to love anyone that Alastair Campbell referred to as 'ambassador from planet fuck' (ed)!

I think so and I'm a member. All the members I know have voted for him or will. Still wish it had been Yvette Cooper or Harriet Harman standing: I would really have got behind either of their campaigns.

Heathcliffscathy · 07/09/2010 16:16

oooo...anyone a member and not voting for him?

'Ed Balls seems slightly mad'

LOL, I am terrified of Ed Balls - I would be begging all my Labour-party-member friends not to vote for him, except I know there is no danger of it anyway as they are all voting for the other Ed.

IagreewithLeQueen2 · 07/09/2010 16:21

I am a member and I am voting for Ed.

I couldn't take anyone else seriously, especially david M who seems to be tainted.

Ed Balls - the wrong one to stand out of him and his wife, I would have voted for Yvette Cooper like a shot.

Actually would have preferred to vote for Harriet Harman, however I understand why she did not stand, she would not have won, shamefully, as she is so widely disliked.

Diane Abbot - not in the real world.

Heathcliffscathy · 07/09/2010 21:18

so you're all voting ed m? hooray!

Sorry - have just voted and went for:
Ed B
David
Ed M
Diane
Andy

in that order. This was based largely on the Hustings I went to on Sunday - Ed B far and away the more charismatic and the more passionate, and David outperformed his brother, who looked and sounded quite awkward. Andy B impressive but really only on a single issue - his v.good track record on health. Diane slightly barking but I admire her enormously - very likeable.

I'll probably wake up in the night thinking "Nooo. Should have put Ed M higher than David, should have put Andy above Diane" but the deed is done. Alia iacta est, and all that.

gingercat12 · 08/09/2010 12:31

Ed M was my second choice.

LaydeeBlahBlah · 08/09/2010 17:30

I will prob put him at no 2. 1st will be EB. Have met him a number of times and I can emphatically say that he is not barking mad - he is, in fact, quite the opposite. I am mystified by the undeserved press demonisation of him... Just as well I don't believe everything I read in the papers.

Coolfonz · 08/09/2010 17:44

All war criminals.

AtlasTrips · 09/09/2010 18:15

ohh, did Campbell say that? That's quite flattering for Milliband isn't it? In a ''derogation of rivals way'. shows campbell took him serioulsy and we need tough, serious people in government. Not bleeding hearts - not Abbott.

AtlasTrips · 09/09/2010 18:24

though I like Burnhams 'framework for intervention'

Concordia · 09/09/2010 18:29

i'm not a labour member / voter (although i always vote and am kind of a floating voter i guess) and i like Ed M best - so surely it's people like me that they really need to impress.
Frankly, i know Ed Balls can answer questions well but he scares the out of me. i dread him getting in charge of the country. And David M is too linked with the previous administration.
I love Dianne Abbott and her ideas but can't see her getting the support tbh.

florencerusty · 09/09/2010 22:29

I'm a member and no not Ed M

MarionCole · 18/09/2010 21:12

I voted Ed.

M that is.

TDaDa · 19/09/2010 07:58

My instinct was to vote for Ed M....then DM....but I was disappointed with both on Question Time. I think Andy Burnham has more substance and appeal than I thought...he is not just a himbo....but he has no chance of winning. Not sure which Milliband to go for....especially as the next Labour Leader is unlikely to be be next Labour PM unless we get ConLib meltdown which is not in Con or Libs interest so I doubt it.
