I hear ASBOS have been dropped

ASBOS were hardly used in my county. It is down to indivual police forces.

The police usually win their battles with governments. How will they do aginst the Coatrition? Time will tell?

I think ASBOS were mainly used in estate areas.

Any experience of same in your area? too late now Mrs May of the fancy shoes, has pulled the plug on them. Ditched the ASBOS

PS....I make a point of talking to police officers in my area. They have not cuffed me yet. (But I had a little run in with a governemnt Minister.)

I believe that what Tories want is to sweep away a lot of central govt. dictats about how to fight crime, and let local police forces come up with their own solutions and tactics. There will be an element of postcode lottery in the results, but also hopefully A LOT less bureaucracy.
