What a lovely story SS. Thanks for posting

Please could I ask for prayer? I can feel depression lurking I really thought it had gone for good, but I'm wading through fog today . . . . bleeuuggghhhh! And it is so meaningless . . .

Thankyou.

DutchOma · 13/03/2009 16:00

The weather here is quite grey and misty, but I have so many springbulbs in flower that it keeps me feeling that spring really is round the corner.

Notquitegrownup · 13/03/2009 16:56

lol - I meant emotional fog, rather than the real stuff DO. I do feel a bit better now though, if a little shocked, as I thought my extended pnd was just that - pnd - hadn't expected it to rear its head again.

lottiejenkins · 13/03/2009 19:50

Wilf did his own Comic Relief prayers at school. Dear God we children here are lucky, there are some children in this world who arent as lucky as we are! Isnt he great??

Things seem to have settled with dd and school sitiuation.
DO job is still in the hospital but as manual handling assistant so basically helping out in classroom updating staff and teaching new commers about manual handling safe practice.

Love and praayer to everyone else

Notquitegrownup · 14/03/2009 21:57

Evening all. Feeling much brighter, having sneezed in a horrid cold today. It (and your prayers) seem to have chased away those horrid depression clouds. Thank you.

Mary Now that wasn't supposed to happen. Sending a big hug your way, and praying for patience for you, whilst God reveals what he has in store for you.

MJIM - have you read '1,2,3 Magic'? I think that we have an old copy you are welcome to, if you would like it. It was helpful when I was shouting myself hoarse with ds2, who is a lively little chap. Prayers for patience and appropriate volume for you.

CD - prayers for your friend.

God bless all.

Swaliswan · 15/03/2009 13:47

Praying for you all.

Please will you pray for DD? It seems that she is coming out in chicken pox spots today. She is most sore in the girly-bit region She is also cutting a tooth today. She seems to be coping fine so far, just a little bit of a handful at times and not enjoying nappy changes. She keeps complaining of 'tickles' (I guess she is itchy). I am feeling very that we went to church this morning without me knowing that she was getting spots as DH got her dressed and did her nappy changes. He simply didn't realise what the problem was when he saw it and just thought she was sore and a bit spotty.

Notquitegrownup · 15/03/2009 15:41

Oh bless her SS. I had chicken pox as an adult and it can be really horrid. Lots of people don't realise the places it invades. Glad that she is coping well. Sitting in warm water helps with the itching that calamine cream (better than lotion) can't reach, and piriton is good too for night-times, as long as it is safe for her.

(The spots come in three waves, three days apart, tending to go to different areas each time. If she gets them in her mouth/throat, try making her a jelly (green was best) with halved grapes popped in it, once it is cool, but before it has set. They are lovely and soothing as they slide down the throat over the spots!!

MJIM - if you want to CAT me with your address, I'll be happy to send you the book.

Prayers for ds2 would be appreciated. He's just gone to the dump with daddy, to throw away the broken plastic sledge he loved (when it wasn't broken). Looks like this is his first bereavement - he's very very sad about saying goodbye!

God bless all.

ZipadiSoozi · 15/03/2009 19:24

Prayers for all your poorly littles ones atm, and prayers for a new sledge for mini nqgu

CaptainDippy · 15/03/2009 21:04

Glad you are feeling a bit brighter nqgu - you always have such wise and calming advice

Poor DD's, MJIM & SS Praying they are both better asap. SS I found Calamine and Aqueous cream worked wonders when mine had the Pox.

I am shattered. DD1 keeps waking up at 5.30am, turning on the lights and reading outloud, loudly Prayers she would sleep longer!!!!!!!?

MaryBS · 16/03/2009 10:02

Prayers for all today.

I have a job interview for a Finance Administrator in a school. I am not sure whether this is something I want or not, so prayers for discernment would be good please! On the plus side, the money isn't too bad, its term time plus 5 days. On the down side, the hours are 25 per week, and its 25 miles away, so a bit of a drive. But, hey, its an interview!

webstermum · 16/03/2009 16:30

Prayers for you Mary - hope you get the job if it's what you want I used to do that job & I loved it, especially the holidays

SS prayers for your poorly dd, bicarb in the bath works wonders on itchy spots.

New medication making me feel sick and dizzy all the time, please pray for patience for me to persever with it

amber32002 · 16/03/2009 17:52

Yay re the job, Mary!

Prayers for each situation as I read through the thread.

Praise that I managed to get dh to rest on our weekend away, and stop him from a) going straight back into work today and b) agreeing to drive on the M25 tomorrow to see a customer. It's like herding cats, it really is. Prayers needed that I'll continue to be able to stop him from doing too much too soon...and for the latest problem, which is that he's now being sent for heart tests . As if we need anything else right now...

CaptainDippy · 16/03/2009 20:07

Hope meds settle down soon lovely.

Keep herding amber Prayers for you to find the strength and patience to keep your naughty DH under control

Well Done on the interview Mary

I really wonder what kind of a picture you have in your mind, Amber, when you talk about herding cats.
