Seeing CD double.
So glad the scan went well SS, kniting needles obviously have to come out again towards April.

JentlyDoesIt · 24/10/2008 20:48

Hi ladies

SS - so pleased it all went well - April babies are lovely Lovely that you got such a good view of little bean.

Sooz - Hope DHs back recovers soon and your domestic strife is resolves

CD - hope DD3 is ok

I know where DO is - I'm talking to her on MSN right now!!!!

Funeral was ok, lovely service with a good turnout. Saw lots of people I haven't seen for years - why is it we only see people at hatches, matches and dispatches?

MaryBS · 24/10/2008 21:15

SS - SO glad the scan went well and thank you for your kind words from earlier, they mean a lot to me.

God's blessings on all... am tired, so won't post any more, but you are all in my prayers.

notsofarnow · 24/10/2008 21:37

oh swaliswan that is brilliant.

I went to see my manager today - left it till ward quietened down and she had already gone home That meant me in tears to the other girls, one of them said today that its the fact that I was off sick at begining of year and that I rang in sick last Fri to look after ds, not that she had anything to do with interview process but hey ho that also upset me at the beginging of the day so have been really fed up allllllllll day.

Plus my 2 friends have taken themselves off to majorca today - this time last yr we all went to Turkey but I couldn't afford to go this time plus I need to go visit my mum who had allthe bones fused in her foot 4 weeks ago and is throughly fed up and they seem to have damaged the nerve and is causing it to be constantly numb with pins and needles.

I've turned computer on and there's no one on msn either so I'm totally fed up.

amber32002 · 24/10/2008 22:01

Hugs for those who are fed up, prayers of praise for those who are thankful, prayers for peace and answers for those who could do with a weekend of happiness.

notsofarnow · 25/10/2008 09:28

Amber I read your thread 'a day in the life of'trully inspirational. You are a wonderful person, some of your traits I recognised in myself but don't think I have enough of them to be anything significant.

Have a lovely w/e we have the official opening of our refurbished church today (we've been back in it since march mind you) Atm they are expecting 270 people. Will let you know how it goes once I get on a computer at my mums.

amber32002 · 25/10/2008 10:10

Not sure if it's truly inspirational, or the sort of thread that has most normal people dribbling their tea in a totally-astonished-'quick-someone-keep-her-talking-whilst-I-phone-for-the-doctors' sort of way but it might help someone with a child with an ASD, who's wondering how to understand them, or whether they'll always be nonverbal and unable to cope at all. But thank you

Woke up rather late, and my back is objecting to me being in bed the extra two hours. Hubby is going to do the shopping. Prayers please that what he returns with isn't too bizarre!!

JentlyDoesIt · 25/10/2008 14:27

Amber - your thread was amazing and it really REALLY helped me understand a little bit of what we have emailed about before (how cryptic am i!?) thank you, you are very inspirational.

NSFN - I think you deserve a virtual hug although CD does them better Hope the opening went well and was well attended

Happy Saturday to everyone else. I had some lovely news today. My very bestest friend in the whole wide world got engaged last night it's not "official" til tonight when her DF asks her Dad (how lovely and proper and romantic - sigh) but she has asked me to be her maid of honour How exciting I am very smiley today she has a beautiful ring, from Tiffany's -

MJIM - Sorry, belated birthday for ds, roll on theose smiles aswell, yummy gummys!

SS - Praise god for your beautiful scan, you must be soooooooooooooo yes! soooooooooooooo relieved prayers you can now SETTLE into your pregnancy, and yes YOU ARE PREGANANT!

Thanks for prayers for dh back, he is in agony, we think only internal bruising, (no visible bruises though) makes me worried!

Prayers for my ds1 who is competing in the 'British Indoor Rowing' competition at Birmingham NIA tomorrow, its going to be a long long day, but hopefully a good one!

Love & prayers to you all!
xxxxx

JentlyDoesIt · 25/10/2008 21:00

Am so sorry MJIM - happy birthday to your lovely DS and what a great present from his baby sister - a lovely gummy smile

Sooz - good luck to DS1 for tomorrow, hope the day isn't too long and tiring for you all. Prayers for DH's back too...

notsofarnow · 25/10/2008 22:24

opening went fine absolutely packed and everyone ate and loads left.

please pray for a lovely couple from another church she starts chaemo on tues for a tumour in her stomach that is an invader. They don't think they can operate. But already they are saying about the opportunities it has given them to share their faith.

What I think is quite sad is tht the person responsible for personel on a national level either didn't recognise who I was or chose to ignore the fact that i was there. He did my interview when I resigned or rather was advised to quit. Is that the way to treat someone who gave 10 yrs of their life to them. But then again its not peoples praise that we do it for is it!

stickyj · 26/10/2008 08:57

PLEASE PRAY FOR THE FAMILY OF GEORGE, OUR LOVELY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOUR WHO DIES AT 3AM THIS MORING. PRAY FOR DORIS HIS WIFE, SUE HIS DAUGHTER AND THE OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS i DON'T KNOW ALL THE NAMES. RIP GEORGE, YOU WERE A LOVELY, LOVELY MAN[SAD]

DutchOma · 26/10/2008 11:04

Oh StickyJ that is very sad. Certainly I will pray for you and your neighbours in this sad time.
Was it very unexpected?

MaryBS · 26/10/2008 12:21

RIP George, may God be with his family at this sad time

Glad the opening went well NSFN. Praying for that lady with cancer, that whatever it brings, she can continue in faith and strength. What a lovely attitude she has!

Just wanted to let you know it all went very well this morning - and so I offer up a Praise God!!!!! I barely stumbled at all, as I spoke on the gospel message. Do you know, I swear I almost heard a voice afterwards say "See, I told you you could trust in me!" . I got a round of applause from the detainees and the seal of approval from the chaplain too!

So pleased for you Mary. You will have made a real bond in the Holy Spirit between those detainees and the Lord.
I had an e.mail from my cousing in Holland that she is in hospital with a brain tumour. It is operable but it is not known whether it is malignant or benign. While she waits for the operation they let her out of hospital for the weekend. She is a strong Christian, one of the few of my relations in Holland who is, so may I commend her to your prayers, please. Her name is Nellemiek. Thank you.

amber32002 · 26/10/2008 19:17

Prayers aplenty for each situation as I read through...

CaptainDippy · 26/10/2008 19:23

Praying for your cousin, DO - a worrying and scary time for her & her family. Is she married? Does she have children? Hope she has lovely poeple close-by who can pray with her & support her through this time.

OP posts:
DutchOma · 26/10/2008 20:58

Thanks Dippy, she is a widow, her husband died hree or four years ago. She has three children, two sons and a daughter, all with children of their own, as far as I know only the youngest is a Christian. Her church will be supportive, but may be a little far away, she lives in a village, while the hospital is likely to be a bus- or car ride away.

MaryBS · 27/10/2008 09:53

Bashed DH's car AGAIN! Broken rear screen, bashed in back. Reversed into a skip on our drive. Am in the doghouse

I'm SO clumsy
