Has anyone experienced a warning or premonition that later proved accurate?

Has anyone ever received a warning from spirit... or however you would see fit to describe it or understand it? A voice warning you, a spirit or something else appearing to show you something or tell you something? A dream that came true and was a type of warning or premonition?

I will describe what happened to me back in early 2025. I would see this chap around town and he'd be in the pub I used to go to an awful lot last year. I really liked him and and started saying hi to him if I saw him, and he'd say hi back. For the life of me, despite being a 35 year old woman, I couldn't get the nerve up right away to ask him out.

There was this one morning I was out in town and he walked past but hadn't seen me. I was just about to go into the chemist and a male voice shouted in my ear "He's a PAEDOPHILE". I was freaked out, nobody around, it was definitely shouted into my ear.

When I got back home, my flatmate, who is very spiritual, said it's definitely a warning... Well around two months later I ask him out and on the first date he's leering at a couple of teenagers in the pub. Of course I wrote it off as they had nice hair, maybe he was admiring that.... or just, they looked pretty, he's a man right...

A few months down the line and I find out he's following teenagers on Facebook. I never found anything that would have made me think I needed to report him in any way, but needless to say I ended it, and I often wonder, where did that voice come from?

There is another side to this. Quite often, they are merely based on existing prejudice.
Recently, there was a homeless man sleeping in a park in our small neighborhood. I spoke to him. He was a refugee. He explained that he was having some mental health issues. If people stared at him, he would stare back, looking worried. Sometimes he found it difficult to talk.
A few nights later, a woman was attacked. Suddenly, the local Facebook group was full of people accounting that they had seen the refugee man, had felt immediately uncomfortable, and had knew he was going to attack them. They KNEW it was going to happen, but had just managed to walk away in time, or their dog had barked, or their husband had caught up with them on their walk.

Actually, it was soon confirmed that the man who attacked the woman was someone entirely different, of a different race, but people's response to "slightly strange man with brown skin, therefore must be a rapist" was there for all to see.

Yes, the refugee man did make me slightly uncomfortable. He was clearly really struggling. I managed to connect him to a local group that supports refugees from his country, he was provided with medical care and a room in a shared house, and is now much much better - no longer staring.
It was prejudice, not premonition.

Not me, but my granny. She'd hung clothes on an airer in front of the coal fire. Left do something in another room when a voice said 'fire' in her ear. Sure enough, when she went back to the living room a pair of trousers had caught fire. She managed to put it out, but always remembered this. She was also a believer in spirit guides.

I was in the kitchen and a song called Sugar that sounded just like Prince came on the radio. I thought oh wow I like the sound of the song but it's so sad Prince had died. I felt super sad. I suddenly thought wtf he's not dead. Where did I get that from. Two week later, we get the news all over the media .

I have had several:

I knew my grandmother would not return from hospital when she died when I was 12.

I had a dream the night before receiving my final university results that showed my exact results as they appeared the next day.

Two weeks before my father died (who I had been estranged from for 20 years) I felt a need to drive past his old house. The next day his wife texted to tell me he had liver cancer and he died two weeks later.

I don't tell people because they think you are crazy. I normally discount this stuff and focus on reason but sometimes this stuff is pretty acccurate.

In backseat on motorway when I was maybe 12yo. Van in front of us with one of those pull up doors. Suddenly got this awful feeling and told my dad to get away from the van. As he switched lanes the back door rolled up and massive tied bundles of newspapers fell out behind it.

I was on holiday and dreamt my uncle was ill in hospital.
i contacted him the following day and sure enough he was poorly in hospital.
he sadly passed a few weeks later.

One day I was running up the steps to our house with my sister when we were children and she told me that grandpa had died. Grandpa was relatively young and fit and wasn't sick. Later, dad called us into the room and told us he had bad news. My sister (4 years old) told him grandpa had died. My dad was absolutely shocked, he had only just heard the news himself.

During a gig a few years ago, I looked at my watch (digital one) and it showed a particular time. I looked again quickly as i didnt think that was right, and it showed a different time (the correct time). I had a strange feeling that something odd was going to happen at the first time i looked at, about 25 mins later. At that exact time, the singer stopped the gig and the lights all came on as someone was poorly in the crowd!

I’ve known that wins are coming - told a friend at a charity gig as soon as we sat down that she was going to win a prize and she did, another time I knew I’d won a (quite fancy) weekend away. We’d left early as I was pregnant but next morning the phone rang and I told my husband that it was going to be the charity committee. It was!! Both times I knew with certainty what was going to happen. Of course it could have been wishful thinking but I’ve never had the feelings any other times. I also sense people. At a wake and standing in a room full of people, my heckles went up, almost a physical reaction. I could feel an awful aura (I’m aware this sounds very woo and I’m not a woo person). Unseen a younger male relative had come into the room and I can only describe it like his vibrations were sooo strong they physically touched me. When I turned round I knew immediately where they were coming from. It was radiating from a man in his early 20’s. I’d never met him previously but down the line discovered he was a very nasty peice of work. Like many of us, I often get vibes from people and I’m rarely wrong. I’m sure there’s a logical explanation but who knows

I get strong feelings or anxieties about things. I always (stupidly) try to ignore them, because I'm not a spiritual person and don't have any real interest in foreseeing stuff. And sometimes to be honest, because I interpret it as paranoia!

I wish I didn't have it.

I was at a charity event there was a raffle. It was quite low key but they had one incredible prize donated by a top famous design brand as one of their directors was involved in the charity it was worth £800. The other prizes were box of chocolates etc. So the person whose ticket was pulled out first would win it. I knew I was going to win it. Only bought one tow of tickets. Won it.

I had a dream that I was in the park with my friend and she told me that her brother had died. A few days later I was in the park with me and she told me that a mutual friends brother had died suddenly so not 100% accurate but still unnerving.

A few years later I dreamt I was at my brothers funeral. In real life he wasn’t ill. A couple of months later he passed away.

I also dream about colleagues resigning and where they are moving to, this has been accurate a few times.

When I’m out, I very occasionally have the strongest urge to be back home. When this happens, I do cut my visit/walk whatever short and go straight home. I don’t know where it comes from but I like to think that it’s some sort of protective force keeping me safe from something which might have happened.

However, it’s more likely to be me gradually losing my confidence as I age in an uncertain world.

Two which spring to mind but there have been others.

Walking out of a cookery class at school in the early 70s. The cookery teacher was fearsome and furiously demanded to know what I was doing and where did I think I was going. I told her my granny had just died and I was going home.
Once I arrived at home, I found my mother being comforted by a friend as my grandmother had died just an hour before.

The second one was horrible. My father, my son and I went to an ‘extravaganza’ at Glamis Castle. There was a huge crowd and lots of attractions, mostly vintage vehicles, etc. I met an old friend who I had not seen for years and we chatted as my father and my son wandered off.
I remember abruptly telling my old friend I had to go and I ran through the crowd to find dad and my son. I found them in a queue and asked what they were queuing for. A helicopter ride apparently.
I told my dad that on no account were they to go up in the helicopter. They were fussing and angry with me as they were close to getting their turn but I was adamant and very distressed. Dad said I was being overprotective but I told him I had a horrible feeling.
The helicopter crashed and tragically, a young boy was killed. Had my dad and son waited, it would have been their turn.
