Full moon's blessings!

@Hedjwitch take care of yourself, it will take time to find a new rhythm to life. I think any massive change can feel as if you're going through the motions. The herbal tea workshop sounds lovely.

I went to an advanced yoga class this morning, which I haven't done for a while - I'm slowly trying to gain strength and get back my fitness. This week I am going to a Book Festival event called Hag, about dark feminine folk lore and then there's a women's circle event on the 30th.

Good evening and full moon blessings to you all. I’ve only posted once or twice before but I wondered if any of you have any insights into seeing a black cat on a full moon. Is it just superstition, or coincidence?

About 10 minutes ago, as I walked into my hallway from my living room, I looked out to see a black cat at the top of my garden path looking in. We stared intently at each other for about 30 seconds - felt familiar, as if I knew it or had known it before but I’ve never seen a black cat around where I live. I was so drawn to it but when I finally opened the door it was gone. I’m going to meditate on it and try to decipher if it meant anything but it felt significant.

Samhain blessings to you all. Tomorrow m, I’m hoping to go and look for ripe acorns to plant and see if I get some growth. Once upon a time, I had a covenstead and then we went our separate ways. Nowadays, I’m an ambling solitary!

Samhain blessings!
Last night we had a women's circle in the woods, using night vision, honouring ancestors around a campfire and weaving a talisman from aspen twigs, feathers amd oak leaves. It was a small group, but that made it quite intimate. There was some talk about making it more regular

The night before, I went to a Book Festival event called Hag, celebrating a podcast that was made into a book, all about modern, feminist retellings of folktales. It was in a beautiful medieval building, called Dragon Hall.
Tonight we're going to a local light and music show, in a historic part of the city.
I feel I may have celebrated!

Photos from the book talk on Thursday. The hall looked stunning!

That sounds like a wonderful way to mark the season, @quirkychick

I foraged and failed to find acorns - suspect the local squirrel population beat me to it. I have instead dedicated an oak sapling to be planted in national forest land. I’ve made soup and bread. Later on I’ll light candles to remember that which is gone from sight, listen to ghostly tales and maybe look at my Tarot deck.

Samhain Blessings sisters. I have lit a chair for any guests.

Love the sound of the women's circle. I wish I had been there.

@Mayhemabounds it's run by the yoga studio I go to/teach at. It was really lovely, we walked through the forest using our night vision. I was meant to go last year, but was unwell - so I'm really pleased I made it this year.

I am enjoying hearing about all the Samhain activities. I couldn't attend an event that I had booked, life storms hit too hard last week and I just wanted to curl up under a heated blanket.

I notice this thread is almost full, so I have opened another- part 22. So fly over there. I'll light the fire, put on the kettle. Cakes are welcome.
