IWNLTBM:- I told you--I love you.

I told you-I will never let you go
I told you - with me you can leap over any wall.

I told you - I will be with you wherever you go.

I told you - I have plans for you, good plans, plans to bless you and not to harm you.

Trust Him darling, you will be alright.

I know the battle of the booze will begin again soon and will be praying with you again throughout the evening.

iwillNOTletthisbeatme · 11/05/2008 17:46

its been on my mind all day.ive never experienced anything like that before.it made me get up very quickly

DutchOma · 11/05/2008 17:50

You are in a difficult place. Antidepresants and booze are playing tricks in your mind. You are anxious and distressed and, I guess, mainly on your own. You will be alright. You will be able to walk through that door tomorrow. You will be able to look after your little boy. Please give him another hug from me if and when he is awake.
Have you spoken to anybody today?

iwillNOTletthisbeatme · 11/05/2008 17:56

amber32002 · 11/05/2008 18:47

IWNLTBM, if it's any consolation, when they did research into how many people had heard scary voices they couldn't explain, absolutely tons of people said they had.

Shall be praying for peace for you.

Prayers for each person here as I've read through each of your weekends and prayer requests.

Just back from Sarum College where I've been on the most amazing weekend of my life at the 'Uncomfortable Presence' weekend for people with disabilities. Scary for me, but the people were so lovely and so very supportive, and we've all learned a lot about disability theology/spirituality and people's experiences of church. I also made friends with the most marvellous Assistance Dog, but I'll tell the story of the dog and the flying nun another time

CaptainDippy · 11/05/2008 19:47

Intrigued Glad it was such a super weekend for you amber

Hoding you up in prayer tongiht IWNLTBM. xxxx

I'm back IWNLTBM.
We sang this song tonight and the tears just streamed down my face, thinking of you.
I hope it doesn't make you cry too much, but that God's love wil flow into your heart and bring you healing.
This is the song:

LORD, I COME TO YOU,
Let my heart be changed, renewed,
Flowing from the grace
That I found in You.
And Lord, I?ve come to know
The weaknesses I see in me
Will be stripped away
By the power of Your love.

Hold me close,
Let Your love surround me.
Bring me near, draw me to Your side.
And as I wait
I?ll rise up like the eagle,
And I will soar with You,
Your Spirit leads me on
In the power of Your love.

Lord, unveil my eyes,
Let me see You face to face,
The knowledge of Your love
As You live in me.
Lord, renew my mind
As Your will unfolds in my life,
In living every day
By the power of Your love.

Hold me close,
Let Your love surround me.
Bring me near, draw me to Your side.
And as I wait
I?ll rise up like the eagle,
And I will soar with You,
Your Spirit leads me on
In the power of Your love.

we had that song tonight too DO. sorry i not been around much - lots going on - not bad just busy.

Have struggled today though its wedding anniversary, sang a song we had in our wedding, also was day that people are encouraged to think about spiritual leadership - so not good day, plus pmt, and tired coz our neighbours decided to give me a piano rendition at 1 a.m.

iwillNOTletthisbeatme · 12/05/2008 01:06

thankyuo evreynone.i smoetimes thinkthat god muts realy hate me.wehy me.iam a drunk.sorryxxx

MaryBS · 12/05/2008 07:24

He doesn't hate you, there were times in my life when I thought the same too. If he hates you, then he hates his son too, otherwise why would he have let him die on the cross? God cares for you as he cares for everyone of us, and hurts when you hurt. I hope I'm not sounding glib saying this, and I'm not trying to belittle what you've been through.

There have been times when I've stood in my church and shouted and screamed at him "Why me?" or "OK, I can accept me, but WHY MY SON?". And he's been there to comfort me when I've calmed down and stopped ranting.

amber32002 · 12/05/2008 07:48

Lots of prayers for all who feel life is way, way too much to handle at the moment, for those struggling to cope, for those whose pasts won't stay "in their box", whose companions in life are sometimes as much use as a proverbial chocolate teapot when we need a hug. Thinking of all of you.

Been up most of the night with back pain. Serves me right for hauling heavy suitcases without asking for help. Very tired.

podglet · 12/05/2008 09:06

IWNLTBM - so sorry to hear yhou are going through such a hard time. Let God carry you through this. AAm praying for you.

Amber - hope your back eases up today and glad to hear you had such a good weekend. Can't wait to hear about the dog and nun!

CD - you must have had a fab weekend in your neck of the woods, how are you all?

DO - you are a wise woman who knows exactly what to say - have a hug

Podmog - praying for your prayer sessions

We're all ok here, DS at nursery today so DD and I are going to have a lazy day at home. I'm going to get all my good housewife jobs done then laze in the garden when she sleeps. Hope everybody's Mondays are good starts to the week.

Good morning Dippy and everyone

IWNLTBM - it's OK to feel angry with God. He does love you and He can bring you through this to a much much better place, where you will feel the sun on your face again and know the joy of life deep inside you. Thinking of you.

amber32002 · 12/05/2008 12:15

Oh alright then - the story of the nun. I got to the conference centre at Sarum, very nervous about the event (as I would be...) and after putting my suitcase and book bags in the room ,went for a bit of an explore. Downstairs, along the hallway, I noted a a very very large dog (an unusual thing to find in a conference centre). Her lead was looped round a small chair, and next to her, a nun in full Habit. Not only had I observed the dog, it became clear that the dog had observed me, and took off at high speed towards me to say hello. The nun made a grab for the lead, but to little avail, and I was treated to a priceless image of a nun flying down the hallway behind a huge dog which was proceeding at increasing speed and enthusiasm in my direction. Thank goodness I have a large dog at home and know how to stop one, or else Sister B would have had an unexpected and unstoppable tour of a variety of places. That was my introduction to the 'assistance dog' for one of our participants. She and I became fairly good friends over the weekend, though I'm not sure the nun in question will be volunteering to do any more dogsitting

podglet · 12/05/2008 12:27

Brilliant Amber

amber32002 · 12/05/2008 17:10

Prayers please for Rachel, aged 7, the daughter of a friend, who's been in a diabetic coma in hospital and has two very worried parents and an equally worried brother.

MaryBS · 12/05/2008 18:32

Praying Amber... how long has she been in a coma?

As for the nun - is that what you call "nuns on the run"?

Heaven help me, can anyone think of anything to say about the Trinity that hasn't been done to death and/or is vaguely interesting???
