Can you recommend me pieces of scripture to read when you are depressed please?

Just that really, thank you.

I've been reading this one:
1 Peter 5:7. 7 "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

But I'm tired, my soul is tired. I've got a bad diagnosis looming and I feel like someone is pushing my head under the water and I can't come up for a breath.

Any verses you could recommend I'd be grateful.

My health may fail, my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength in my heart. He is mine forever. Psalm 73:26

I've been reading all your recommendations and I'm planning to write a little list, pretty much like the Gideon's Bible which has a list of topics for when you are feeling sad, sick, worried, etc.

I'm a little better and I'm very grateful for the ones who prayed for me. I decided that I'm going to fight as my son needs me even though he doesn't even know that. I can't go and leave him with an inadequate father (long story, not worth getting into it) who is clueless regarding his needs besides the very basic. Obviously me "going" doesn't depend solely on me but if I have a bad diagnosis I'll do whatever is my power to have a chance.

I've also started looking for a therapist and I'm kind of "church shopping" at the moment. But one thing at a time, I can't do all at once. Baby steps.

There are good days and bad days, but if I try to make today bearable it's at least something. Each day has enough trouble of its own like He says in Matthew.
