Hia DO!

NorthernLurker · 02/04/2008 16:22

Hi all

good to hear dd a bit better SS - well done that mummy

CD - hope you are hanging in there.

Rosey - prayers for rest for you

Well my meeting was ok - I had a really good prayer time as I was walking over there and I think I did let go of my anxiety quite a bit. Upshot of it is I was able to sort out my hours for going back ok and got some feedback on the interview. My mannager was very nice and offered to do everything she could to help me get on and get a better role. I hope she isn't trying to get rid of me! I still feel rather bruised but I've just got to get on with it. Came home to see a fab job in the paper - I think it's too much for my current experience but I've sent for the pack anyway and I've also heard - through my manager of another possible vacancy. So - lots to think about and keep praying for as well.

Bojangles - if you're out there - I've not forgotten you!

bobsmum · 02/04/2008 16:41

Haven't had a chance to read the thread for a few days now, so apologies everyone.

37 weeks and counting. Ds was born at 38 weeks - so who knows

Could you pray for us all as a family?

I had an IEP meeting with the EdPsych/Head/Class teacher and SLA yesterday.

Although ds is flying ahead academically, his concentration and disruptive behaviour is still a concern. the EdPsych said it was completely normal for him to be fine at home and a different boy at school, because he's just not managing socially.

He's being referred for Speech and Language Therapy and also for a diagnosis of possibly ADHD or ASD.

The Edpsych will come for a home visit in a couple of weeks (hope baby's not here by that time!) and talk to me and dh, before compiling a report for the diagnosis.

I'm praying this will be a help rather than a hindrance to ds. I don't want him to be labelled from now until the end of his school career, but then again I'd rather allowances were made, than he was the "naughty" boy at school. He's not naughty - just clueless about some things.

With a diagnosis he would most likely be entitled to a a taxi to and from school, because he's not coping on the school bus very well atm - that would be one less telling off!

CaptainCaveman · 02/04/2008 16:49

Hello all, flying by on my way home from work - I am just about to switch my pc off. Praying for you all individually, and for all your situations with work, families, poorly lo's and generaly poorliness.
May God hold you all in His hands and bless you richly.

21 weeks tomorrow!! Scan next monday at 9am, I'm very excited.

CaptainCaveman · 02/04/2008 16:50

forgot to ask - have any of you appealed against your child's school place? I think I will appeal that ds didn't get into the school we wanted (nothing to lose by appealing!), and wanted any tips etc of what to inlcude in the appeal letter?

tia xx

PandaG · 02/04/2008 17:02

hello all - I have just caught up with the thread and said a quick prayer for you all as I have been reading.

I've been stuck in gthe throes of my assignment the last few days so haven't been around much. First draft is due in a week on Tuesday and I am nearly there now. Head is totally cabbaged so I am going out for a brisk walk, then will read for a bit I think.

love to you all xx

Just want to update you on our vicar.

Sunday she was bad, as I think I mentioned above. But today friend of mine went to visit her with someone else from church and she was a LOT better, didn't just recognise them, but smiled when they walked in too .

I could still do with some prayers sorry it's quite long ......but does tell the story of the last couple of days........

Notquitegrownup · 03/04/2008 09:13

Good morning all. I'm back after a wonderful holiday Down Under! I've managed to lurk occasionally and managed to find a lovely church to attend over Easter, which was really special.

Big prayers and hugs for you FAQ and for all on this thread.

CaptainDippy · 03/04/2008 10:25

Good to have you back NQGU and glad you had a wonderful time

{{{FAQ}}}} Praying. Always. xxxxxxxxxx

OP posts:
Swaliswan · 03/04/2008 11:09

{{{{FAQ}}}} Praying for you.

NQGU you have to tell us more about your holiday! I'd love to go on holiday to Oz and it seems that my cousin is going to get married there next year so maybe I'll have a chance soon.

Panda what's your assignment about?

CD how are you feeling today? Has the D&V stopped yet?

I'm praying for all of the little beans and their mummies and daddies. DH and I are talking about trying again in a month or so when everything else in our life is a bit more settled.

Anyone know where Mary is hiding atm?

Everyone else, I pray for you as I read your posts even if I don't type a message back.

Notquitegrownup · 03/04/2008 11:36

Thank you Must admit that one of the highlights for me was the flights, as I normally hate flying, but I asked a friend here to pray for me, about a week before we went, and I had such peace on the flights - a real lesson for me.

SS - happy to provide any info you need for planning. Which part of Oz is your cousin in? Do hope that you make it, though the flights could be interesting with a 2 year old and a possible new born too!

OK soooo much tidying up/sorting out to do. See you later!

ZipadiSuzy · 03/04/2008 12:00

NQGU - Sounds like you had a fab time in oz, nice to have you back, prayers for you to sort the suitacases out

FAQ - Aw sweetie, i am so sorry you are having such a rough time, good you have a decent bunch of friends nearby, take each day separately, even each hour, prayers for peace in your life, you deserve it.

CD - Prayers you are better today!

And an insignificant prayer request, I have to trim house rabbits nails 'fifi', can't get to the vets, don't have transport, She loves a fuss and sits with you but hates being picked up and grappled with. HELP!

Praying your nail trimming session goes well Sooz - if successful you could perhaps set up a boutique?

CD scan is next monday, and yes please do forward my email address to your friend, any help on what to put on the appeal would be much appreciated!

Welcome back NQGU - what a good idea to pray for flights to go smoothly. We are off to Florida in 5 weeks with ds and my dsis and her dd - I'm not looking forwards to a 9 hour flight with 2 very excited children!!

FAQ my thoughts and prayers are with you

CaptainCaveman · 03/04/2008 13:16

Poor you MJIM, praying you feel better soon, it's rotten when you're pg and ill as all you can take is paracetamol. I've got a bit of a thick head today, feelilng very tired too. (21 weeks today!)

amber32002 · 03/04/2008 15:17

FAQ,

Sending you all the prayers I can manage.
If it gets too much, don't you hesitate to get down the docs or ring the Samaritans or come on here and just rant. We're right here and listening...

Prayers for everyone, for all your situations

MaryBS · 03/04/2008 15:23

Hi SS! . Deadline for all my coursework to be handed in is Monday, so have been concentrating on that! Have been reading and praying though...

Praying for you all, but especially for FAQ

PandaG · 03/04/2008 15:29

hello all

great to have you back NQGU

praying for all our sick, tired or fed up members, and particularly for you FAQ

my assignment is for my Diploma in Preschool Practice - is equiv to NVQ level 3, which I need for my job at preschool, If only I had a primary rather than secondary PGCE I wouldn't have to do it!

I am doing ok Mary - thanks fo rthe text. A few days without the children has been good for me to get my head down with my asignment. I'm not feeling anything like as low as I have been, which is fab, GOd is good. I think the prayer counselling course I have done has brought up some issues for me that I need time to work through.

LOve to you all xx
