Adorable fae photos, thanks to everyone.

Violet are you using a pc or phone to upload?
Are your images too large to upload?

I'm trying now with 3 large images DD took about an hour ago, a butterfly on our lavender.

Essences are amazingly wonderful things, please read the life story of Dr Edward Bach, what an incredible gentle man he was, how he discovered how to make the essences and his system of prescribing them for emotional healing, then when he'd completed his work, he simply went into the afterlife. He's someone I would have loved to meet. The plants he used are all native to the UK.

After his death, as ever, things took a strange turn and other people started claiming they were manufacturing his original essences and there was a big brouhaha and a court case, hopefully now resolved.

The Bush Flower Essences from Oz are 'prescribed' in a different way, you're given a pack of cards with a picture of the plants and asked to choose which you like best, then that or more often those essences are for you.

It's a major rabbit hole to explore, but it's worth every minute you spend. Flowers

Blanktimes your daughter is a talented photographer, she's captured the colours and light beautifully.

I was using my phone to load photos, I'm on my iPad now so will try again!

Thank you for the info about flower essences. A new witchy friend has a vast collection of Bach remedied. I mentioned I was struggling a bit with procrastination so she gave me some Hornbeam. I've just bought some Sunflower essence, as I'm enjoying working with Sunflower energy at the moment, there's also a love synergy with the Leo new moon energy, which I understand is all about focusing on making this your time to shine. Since the full moon, I've been doing a lot of work on releasing limiting beliefs. I'm a bit blown away by how well it's working!

@BlankTimes gorgeous lavender photos! @VioletCharlotte I love the sunflower energy.

I'm now off to find out about Dr Edward Back, my interest has been piqued.

Bach even - damn my autocorrect

Trenzalor · 07/08/2021 19:29

I’ve decided to crack open the tarot deck I was given by friends years ago and tune in to it. I usually use Rider Waite. It’s the Glastonbury Tarot and my friends bought it for me whilst we were there.
I’ve also been reading the first ever thread here started in 2018. So much great knowledge there!

speakout · 07/08/2021 20:30

I am enjoying all thes photographs- so uplifting. VioletCharlotte I have been reading about the Lionsgate Portal too for this new moon. Hopefully heralding positive changes.
A quiet evening here, not a sound, apart from the purring of a cat!
Trenzalor I hope you enjoy your new deck- which one are you opening?
I hope everyone has a peaceful and restorative night.

I’ve actually used all three this evening and felt able to, which was nice. I felt so tied to the RW for ages. I used the Glastonbury and introduced myself then got out the Witches Tarot which I haven’t used for ages (like a decade plus?) as it never sang to me the way I wanted it to. Now I’m ready. I’ve felt pulled to a very deep Purple these last few days (the colour I least like) and they were in a purple velvet bag so I was definitely drawn to them. Have made a little purple altar with amethyst and other purple Stones as well. It’s very calming. I look forward to using the two lesser used decks now and seeing what they tell me.

BlankTimes · 08/08/2021 03:02

A massive and modest thank-you from DD for all the kind things you've said about her photos.

Violet EFT Tapping is another useful tool for releasing self-limiting beliefs.

Toto hope you find Dr Bach's story as fascinating as I do.

Speakout there was a massive energy-shift here this afternoon, don't know if it was just mine or whether it's a much larger one, but it was a real whoosh out of the blue, very welcome. It's also been so much cooler today, at last the breeze has actually made a difference indoors and it's been pleasant instead of feeling like a greenhouse.

Trenzalor I'm so pleased you're having a browse of our previous threads, there's a wealth of knowledge in them. You've definitely chosen the right time to get to know your new decks and create a new altar, isn't it lovely when everything flows. Halloween Smile

New moon blessings sisters!
Today's New Moon occurs in the sign of Leo, bringing the chance for a fresh start. We might concentrate on new ways to enhance our romantic life, creative endeavors and hobbies, and relationship with children. It's a time to build self-confidence and healthy pride in ourselves. We might strive to assume more responsibility for our lives and give of ourselves warmly and generously. We might aim to spend the coming month improving the Leo-ruled areas of our charts. It's time to awaken our "inner child" and find ways to express ourselves creatively.

I had a rare few hours to myself this morning so performed a spell to help move a financial matter along. Checked my emails and had received a positive update, we haven't heard anything for weeks!

Feeling positive and hopeful this morning.

House is clean and tidy. I've done a lovely challenging yoga session and will pop out for a blustery walk soon.

HillsBesideTheSea · 08/08/2021 14:59

Good morning!
well afternoon but i am going to ignore that

I hope you are all having lovely weekends.

I made the decision that 10 weeks was too long to put up with a room layout that was causing stress. So since the thing that required it was done, i changed it back. Much calmer and happier.
New med still has a few adjustments but i missed a dose yesterday and can really tell how much better i feel when taking it. Its funny to realise that when your body is not fighting for air how much easier it is for it to relax.

Not been able to walk as much as i would like recently so I have indulged my love of books and ordered some more witchy ones that were on my list with my 'fun' money budget. But i was most delighted because a book that i have been hoping to track down I found on a bookcase in the house when I was prepping for some physical cleaning work. So I am currently entrenched in Culpeppers Complete Herbal. It is a happy place for me to be.

I hope you are having magical weekends.

LadyLolaRuben · 08/08/2021 19:13

Looking forward to the new moon. I made a vision board for the full moon a few weeks ago so will be putting it out tonight for new energy and fresh beginnings.

Trenzalor · 09/08/2021 08:18

Good morning friends. I hope you have a lovely day. Another wet one here.
I made my first sigil on the new moon last night, a simple wish for prosperity.

speakout · 09/08/2021 08:44

Welcome to the new week sisters, bustery and cool here today too.
Trenzalor I hope your sigil work is productive.
I wait with a little trepidation at hearing the UN report on global warming today.
I fear the news will be alarming- and I plane to take only little bites to keep it from overwhelming me.
But the stage is set, the Lions gate is open, the news platform is clear as Covid waits in the wings for now and the Olympic games are packing up backstage.
So reportage will be high.
We need to know, the neysayers will be mumbling the old stuffed suit rhetoric, but now is the time for change.
I am off to a yoga class to replenish my focus and soothe my core.
Have a magical week everyone.

A lot of it has already been drip fed into the scientific community it looks like. The alteration of the sea current was not unsurprising although i was not quite aware of how vastly interconnected it was with the rest of the worlds oceans.

I have strong questions about the push towards everything electric, and not sure how it is not just creating more different problems in the production and safe disposal of the battery system. It almost feels like the food industries attack on fat when sugar was way worse but makes them profit. So it will be interesting to see if this has been even looked into.

I am running late (as is normal for a monday) but there is a shift in the air so we will see how the day plays out.

Ibelieveinghosts · 09/08/2021 12:36

Morning all, hope you had a fantastic weekend. I got to be by the sea which is my soulful place. I managed to perform a couple of rituals stood on the beach which was wonderful,

I can remember hearing awonderful discussion with John Michael Greer a few years ago stating that we had gone past the point of tinkering round the edges (eg electric rather than petrol cars) and we needed to accept a whole new way of life past the Industrial Age. I’ll see if I can find a link

Ibelieveinghosts · 09/08/2021 12:38

Here’s the link to John Michael Greers discussion

Trenzalor · 09/08/2021 13:19

I took my children in to my school to water the plants (I have a plant room rather than a classroom) and took them to a play area I don’t normally use. I found five beautiful silver birches that I never saw before. They look like they were planted with intent and they felt so lovely. I’ll be visiting them again!

hilariousnamehere · 09/08/2021 23:42

Flying past to say hi and see the new moon and maybe even stop for a cuppa before the madness starts again tomorrow Grin

I don't know what got into my supposedly quiet August, but I have a beautiful new crystal moon for my altar, and a fridge full of good food to see me through a very busy week.

And of course I can retreat here to recharge with the lovely energy that is always on this thread.

@Trenzalor silver birches are my favourite - what a wonderful find!

@BlankTimes your DD's photos made my heart happy, they are so beautiful.

@VioletCharlotte love the sunflowers too, a burst of sunshine in a very wet, miserable month weatherwise!

Am also a big fan of Bach remedies, although have reverted to mixing my own after getting a custom blend from a practitioner and after not very long finding it had gone black and mouldy at the bottom Envy. Impatiens and red chestnut are my go-to, and I think I might add another couple into my kit. I dream of having the whole set but have not yet been able to justify that Blush

AnotherCrazyBirdLady · 10/08/2021 08:35

Good morning, sisters. I wonder if I could ask you for some protective energy? I hate to ask but I am scared. To cut a long story short, last year a neighbour went on a druggy rampage with a knife. Tried kicking in our door a few times etc. It has come to light he is back on the drugs. I have set some protective energy around my home, but I know how powerful this wee coven is and any spare energy would be most welcome. Thank you x

BlurpBlorp · 10/08/2021 09:21

Good morning to all - a fresh bright morning here and I feel the day's energy rising. I absolutely felt the New Moon shift on Sunday too - renewal and power for what's to come.

@BlankTimes such wonderful pictures and thank you for telling us about Dr Bach. I will read up.

@AnotherCrazyBirdLady I held you and your family in my thoughts this morning and wish for protection and reassurrance to radiate within and without your home.

I was dreading the IPCC report. I'm a climate change activist and a pretty burned out one so as you say @speakout I'm trying to protect myself by not reading the full thing and just ploughing on with what I can do. I'm just back from time in the Lake District and it has been so restorative for my soul. The connection to the earth.... the timelessness and majesty of the mountains. Castlerigg stone circle was particularly special. I also found some beautiful goddesses in a local shop and thought of you all Star

Wishing you all good things today xxx

Sending protective energy- maybe time to be a little more assertive with your own actions.....??
We can't act as a coven on this thread, too public, too loosely defined, but I am sure individual sister will send support.
BlurpBlorp those photographs are amazing- where is the stone picture- what a landscape, full of magic!

I have been doing some deep DNA diving this weekend, and found the nature of my ancestral past- it's so interesting.
Mostly Celt , some Viking and a smattering of other European, some common linkage going back to 600 BC.
I feel Celt blood in my veins, but also drawn to Nordic mythology, so makes sense!
Apart from my grandmother - who was a big influence in my spiritual awakening- I don't always feel very connected to ancestors I know in my family.
Knowing I have this wealth of tradition and heritage from the Celtic people is exciting and gives me some deeper understanding of myself. I will be able to use that information when doing work with my ancestors- perfect for Samhain!

@AnotherCrazyBirdLady I'm sending you protective energy from my home to yours. I have hagstones hidden in my home that I believe offer protection. I am so sorry that you have been scared in your own home.

@speakout I completed one of the online DNA tests. I was interested to find that on my maternal grandmothers line we had links to Norway. It was much stronger in her test result, I've been diluted down by two generations. I wonder if that dna gave both me and grandma our red hair?
