Hello all. I've been on this thread on and off through the years. Please can I have prayers for my DS? He's looking for a "proper" career job after a couple of false starts. He's working part time in a pub for "pocket money" but really needs a career position - the situation is getting him down and I am worried about him. Thank you.

@Libre2 thank you for thinking of her. She's doing ok at the moment, feeling a bit more positive. Her "dream" job has just become vacant and will be advertised in the next couple of months. She's being very realistic though and knows she's likely not experienced enough in the field. I meanwhile am praying and hoping as it will make such a huge difference for her.

Did anyone go to a sunrise service today? We went to one in a field, on a local farm, at the top of a hill. We had to get up at 4.30 to get all the teens through the bathroom before we needed to leave the house!
Such a fantastic service though. It was pitch black when we arrived and we were the first there but soon loads of people joined us. By the time the service started at 6am there was a pink light on the horizon. Such a joyous service.
Tea and bacon butties after in the field, with the newborn lambs bleating.
Watched the main service online at 11 and the church was so full there were not enough chairs and they had to set up a live stream in the church hall.

Just wondering what you all do when realise you've stopped praying? (Don't really want to ask Christians I know in RL)

It used to just be an all day conversation with God. I've just sort of forgotten how to, or got out of the habit. I still believe but it feels like I've lost my connection and I'm on my own for a bit. And that also feels just fine. The feeling fine about it is what worries me.

Happy Easter everyone! I’m so pleased to have found this thread - a more peaceful place without angry atheist attacks! I liked the advice given this time last year about contributing to a Christian/atheist discussion - say your piece and leave. That’s what I’ve been concluding.

@coffeecup88 , I’ve been there. I started praying once a day again and built up from there. Maybe a new set of Bible study notes would help? Like the ‘plans’ in the YouVersion Bible app. They combine Bible readings and prayers and some are quite short.

• I like some hymns but overall prefer modern worship songs
• Screen
• Coffee (now it’s ground not instant)
• I visited one church that had croissants and Danish pastries. That’s the ideal for me, but it’s no doubt better for me that I don’t get it regularly
• I like Graham Kendrick. He has written so many songs, and so varied. I liked seeing him on The Blessing video in lockdown

Hello, I hope everyone is well and had a restful, refreshing Easter.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for my DS. He had an interview! He thought it went well, but they said he would hear from them this week regarding a second interview, and he hasn't heard. He is really down at the moment and fears he will never get a proper job. Prayers would be appreciated.

Hi everyone. Please would you pray for my DS? He was brought up Christian but stopped being a Christian at about 16. Now he is starting an Alpha course. He thinks people don't really hear from God or have a relationship with him. Please pray he will have a good experience on the course, encounter God (if that is the best thing for him at this time) and be drawn to Jesus. Thank you very much.

Of course. How old is he now, and is he studying/working?

My children have wandered away from Jesus too, and I'm trying to systematically pray for their return.

(Not that God works to systems but what I mean is trying to more disciplined in praying for them!)
