Just flying by to add my welcome to our new friends and say what beautiful energy everyone is generating here. It’s a joy to be part of.

GinIsMySaviour Delphinium20 Iflyaway it’s lovely to have you here and good to see you again Medjuel

Violet that poem is wonderful, thank you for sharing it

The sun is out here today after a wild few days and I’ve been out in the garden for a few minutes to soak up a bit of fire energy. It’s good to enjoy a tea in a quiet corner of our magical space and listen to the positive, supportive chat

Thank you and love to all x

queenrollo · 27/08/2020 11:23

Just popping in to fluff up some pillows. A plate of fresh baked biscuits and some lovely flowers in a vase from the cottage garden on the table.

I need this virtual calm space very much at the moment. Life out here in the real world is challenging me!

Sending love and calm nurtuing energy to all who need it at the moment x

speakout · 27/08/2020 16:45

queenrollo

How lovely to arrive here and find such gifts. Thankyou! The biscuits are delicious. Baking is not my strong point.
Sorry to hear life is challenging,- I am pretty weary too.
So I will kick off my shoes, have some tea and a biscuit

Queenrollo how lovely, thank you! I'll enjoy a fresh baked biscuit with my tea.

I'm tired too, it's been a busy week. Sending nurturing energy out to you all.

YashmisCrone · 28/08/2020 11:51

I hope everyone had a restful night and that Friday brings a little relief from all that serves to make us weary.

Elemental forces have been powerful this last week- tempestuous and changeable. It’s helped be be less absorbed in my head and connect with the elements for a boost.

The river was wild yesterday- it was exhilarating to stand for a few minutes and just breathe it in. The sky was glorious over the moor before the heavens opened last night and I was treated to the site of playful wild foals, chasing each other for the fun of it. Such joyful creatures. I love horse medicine. A lot to clear work-wise today but I’m glad of the moments grabbed to recharge amongst it all.

I hope Friday brings some magic your way

Hello all,

Queenrollo I hope you're getting more / better sleep and feeling rested.

YashmisCrone thank you for the welcome - lovely to be here Smile

What amazing photos. Tempestuous elements indeed! And how lovely to hear about the foals!

VioletCharlotte and Speakout I hope you are feeling more energsied soon.

Inspired by the posts from earlier in the week, I'm making soup today full of autumn coloured vegetables. It's keeping my spirits up while I plough through some very unmagical work ... but I am grateful for it as it's helping to pay the bills!

I'm setting up a reiki share with one of my neighbours over the weekend which I'm looking forward to as my energy is a bit skew-whiff in the run up to school starting for my DD and all the excitement and stress that is bringing with it.

Fortunately, my pets are all doing a great job of role modelling a very relaxed attitude with great attention to self-care and regular naps Grin

Happy Friday to everyone

speakout · 28/08/2020 15:11

I am just grabbing a few moments in a very hectic day.
GinIsMySaviour your autumn soup sounds delicious!
YashmisCrone what a power in the river! You capture the feeling so well in your photo, I can almost hear the crashing. Loving the Rhiannon energy you have there.
Just had to take over some baking stuff for my DD- mixer, cake tins etc. it is her flat mants birthday this weekend and they are baking a cake together and planning a celebration.
It must be so exciting for them to do these things in their own place.
Having moved out 10 days ago, I realise why I wasn't sad- I have seen her every day except one since she moved, even if just a flying visit.#
I am glad I was organised this morning and put my curry in the slow cooker early- means I don't have much to do for dinner.
I hope everyone is enjoying the wind down to the week.

I hope everyone is finding some replenishment in the weekend. I know it’s not the end of the working week for all of us but I hope at least it brings a gentler energy.

It feels that many of us have been feeling under pressure recently and as ever, self care feels crucial.

I know others also follow this page but I wanted to share this piece of writing, beautiful as ever, which spoke to me of the self acceptance- particularly in terms of parts of us that the world can make us feel are contradictory- crucial to honouring and being able to take care of ourselves. Ive found that boundaries are such good self care

“Being a kind, loving, soft and caring person.
Should not equal a lack of boundaries, an absence of back bone or inability to say no.

Being a truly kind, loving, soft and caring person.
Must equal clear boundaries, the ability to say no, and the courage to speak from the heart.

It is kinder to say no, instead of a yes that you silently resent them for.
It is healthier and more caring to all, to state boundaries, instead of feeling anger towards someone for crossing the boundaries you didn’t make clear.

It is more growth full to all, to be able to speak from our hearts, from our centre, so we all know where we stand.

When we can inhabit those ways of being.
We teach others how to love us and how to love themselves.

Too often, we are taught we cannot be maiden and wolf.
Peaceful and wild.
Soft and strong.
Good woman and witch.

Yet we must hold both to bring balance and strength.
Through protection and safety we can open and be soft.

YashmisCrone beautiful words.

I have been thinking over this topic too recently- the difference between being nice and kind.
Being nice and "keeping the peace" is seen as being positive things- but they can be the cruelest options.
If everyone was nice- women would not have the vote, we would still have apartheid.
Generations of women have been told to zip their mouths and be nice, be pretty, be compliant.

No longer.

OP posts:
VioletCharlotte · 29/08/2020 21:33

Yashmis thank you for sharing those words. I read this post this morning too and have been thinking about it today. Too often we women feel guilty about saying 'no' and putting the needs and wants of others before our own wellbeing. Daring to set our boundaries, even when we risk upsetting others, is having the courage to love ourselves.

I hope everyone's well. It's feeling rather autumnal today, I'm starting to feel an urge to prepare for winter, stocking up on candles and making the house feel cosy, making soups and casseroles, digging out snuggly jumpers and socks. I also made yet another crumble, there's such an abundance of blackberries this year. Delicious, but it's not doing my waistline much good!

Delphinium20 · 30/08/2020 07:59

@YashmisCrone thank you for the welcome! I love all the warmth and strength I'm finding here. I've been blessed to commune this week at a remote retreat in the woods-with cleansing water and a small ritual outside (something I struggle to do in my urban home).

speakout · 30/08/2020 08:21

Delphinium20 That sounds so wonderful. You have insired me to take a walk in the woods later too.

I have woken up ( after a 10 hour sleep!) thinking it was Monday.
Slowly dawned on me that it is Sunday- so at's good- apart from the jesus morning that blasts though my house.
I am so busy with work, and OH is off at weekends, means I can focus soley on work without having to think about food ot shopping or kitchen work.
I am so busy at the moment, but I am working in the zone, a nice calm approach, candles, incense and magical music. I am lucky to spend my working time immersed in essential oils and herbs and magical scrolls.
I think more people are seeking to deepen their connection to the earth and explore it is such an interesting time of change.

A fantastic cool sunny day here- and a sight that lifted my heart.
As I was hanging laundry in my garden I watched the butterflies having their breakfast on one of my Buddlea bushes- a monster bush I planted ths spring- I counted 27 butterflies all feasting at the same time- not to mention countless bumble bees, honey bees, hover flies- hundreds of insects.
As I hung my washing there were butterflies all around me, landing on my table, my peg basket- so joyful to see so many amazing creatures sharing my world.

Wow @speakout that sounds amazing!
Ir is beautifully sunny here too and i have washing on the line gathering the cool air and warm sun

VioletCharlotte · 30/08/2020 11:42

Speakout that's so beautiful and I'm smiling once again at the synergy between us - as I type I'm sitting in my garden watching the bees buzzing around my sunflowers (they've finally opened!) it's such a good feeling to see nature benefiting from plants we've grown ourselves, isn't it?

It's warm and sunny here today, which is refreshing after a few days of heavy rain and wind. I'm enjoying toast and coffee in the garden. Ive just to collect a second hand dresser that I plan to paint and mount above my dining table. It's a beautiful piece of solid wood furniture, a real bargain for only £30! That's my project for September when I have a week off.

Blessings to you all for a peaceful Sunday.

speakout · 30/08/2020 16:23

rivierliedje loving the laundry magic!
VioletCharlotte yes it is very satisfying watching widlife enjoying fruits we have planted- the feast has continued all afternoon, and I have watched butterflies resting on my drying laundry- it will have the most light and bright energy when I bring it in.
The cool late summer air is so refreshing and soft, I have every window and door in the house open to allow the beautiful freshness to calm and uplift my space.

Tacos for tea- DS has a rotten cold- and feeling miserable - so thought I would do something spicy- I always think chilli is a great antidote for the cold- seems counter intuitive, but works for me.
I hope my sisters here are having a peaceful afternoon.

Good morning sisters, and a warm welcome to you, TheMostHappy

It was bliss to wake up this morning and remember we have an extra day off. I've been so busy this weekend, clearing, decluttering and reorganising both DS rooms. I'm so pleased with what we've achieved, but I'm looking forward to some time to just relax today! I'm heading off for a walk with my dog shortly, then this afternoon I'll be getting my tarot cards out to read for a friend. Yoga this evening which is always a lovely way to end a Monday.

I've had some crazy, lucid dreams the last two nights. This isn't unusual for me in the run up to a full moon, but these seem to be even more unusual. I can remember a lot of the detail and have written it down in the hope I can start to make some sense of it all!

TheMostHappy · 31/08/2020 11:24

This definitely sounds like the right place for me. Thank you for a warm welcome!
rivierliedje · 31/08/2020 11:43

Another beautiful morning today. The cat has been dropped off at the vet's and now I'm sitting in the sun on the back step, next to my plants (scallions regrown from a supermarket bunch going strong, little shoots from radishes and lettuce planted from seed and the teeniest little red beetroot shoots, the more I look at them the more I see!

I am trying to do a little wild act every week or so, and am thinking of making a small wildlife pond in a corner of the garden. The wildlife trusts have good, simple instructions for little tiny ones (made from an old washing up bowl or plant pot). That's today's plan anyway!

wheresmymojo · 31/08/2020 11:51

I'd also like to join you in the kitchen if that's okay?

Like MostHappy I am brand new.

Over the past six months or so I've found myself constantly drawn towards nature, the moon cycles, learning more about energy.

I have this underlying feeling that things that have happened that didn't make sense at the time were always pointing me towards a spiritual awakening but I've resisted for a long time.

I don't know if any of that makes sense...?

It's a very weird feeling where every day I feel like I'm tuning in to some kind of energy more and more but I don't know what to do with it or where to go next.

What I do know is that now I'm more in tune with it I can sense that my energy is all over the place at the moment, perhaps because I've lived out of alignment with it for so long?

Does anyone recognise anything I'm saying?

I'm not sure if I'm using the right words to explain what I'm feeling...

If you were me what would you do now? I feel perplexed - I don't know what to do, where to seek information, etc...

Sorry for such a rambling first post, I feel like I've been one of those guests that plonks themselves down and then just talks about themselves for half an hour Blush

speakout · 31/08/2020 12:32

VioletCharlotte
I love the sound of your day- yoga and Tarot- two of my favourite activities!!
rivierliedje what a great idea to set up a wildlife corner- I can imagine it now, full of tiny souls, spirits and the hidden folk!!
wheresmymojo you are more than welcome to join us- plenty tea left!
A spiritual awakening can be an exciting but daunting prospect, and quite easy to feel overwhelmed.
Nothing needs to be done in a rush- take small steps and enjoy the journey. Take time to focus on yourself- many of the answers you are looking for are already within.
There is no need to rush or erquirement to learn anything- read if you can, I love a browse in a charity shop- books have a way of finding you.
Your spritual journey will be unique, and the areas you are drawn to are of your choosing- no rules!!
Dip in here when you need to- we are collectively a huge source of information.

Wheresmymojo welcome SmileTo echo Speakout, some people call what your experiencing a spiritual awakening. This can be brought on by trauma or a period of intense change...and hasn't 2020 been different?! I've noticed more people seem to be wakening up as a result of the global situation, which is a wonderful thing.

Feeling that deep connection to the earth and to spirit is life changing. For me, one I began to understand more about the seasonal cycles, the power of the moon, the pull of the ocean, everything began to fall into place and I stopped worrying so much about the day to day things that can pull us down. It's something that's inside us all, we just need to find it! My advice is to enjoy this new world you're discovering, but take it slowly and explore the things you feel drawn too. Don't worry about what others say you should be doing, and avoid people who try to tell you should work in a particular way, or claim to be an expert. Thee shouldn't be any ego in spiritual work. Most importantly, keep yourself grounded Smile

Just back from my walk, it's a lovely day, the hedgerows are bursting with bright berries. I do love this time of year!

BlankTimes · 31/08/2020 14:54

Flying in for a cushion and a cuppa.

Welcome wheresmymojo and MostHappy grab a cushion and a brew.

You've had excellent advice from Speakout and Violet already so there's not much I can add. There's a lot of discussion about different paths on our previous threads, links to all of them are on the first post of this thread, dip in and out and see if you find anything that interests you, if you do, that's a sign to investigate that subject a bit more.
