Hi everybody and welcome from all the litotes fairy godmothers

There has been abit of interest in working through the insights, which a few of us already have been doing. So we thought we would get the ball rolling and start a thread to see if anybody is interested in starting with Insight One of the Celestine Prohesies next week.

So we love some feedback:
If you are interested,
if anybody has any ideas, or contributions,
or would like to know more about becoming a fairygodmother!

Here is Celestine Prophesies Celestine Vision website which has a list of the insights.

Also a link to the book at Amazon website

In additon, as this philospy may be new in your life I have lifted this from a small pocket book i have of the insights :

" I wrote the book to be a parable about the search for spirituality in our time, an adventure that weaved together personal experience with ideas about new spiritual renaissance slowly emerging on our planet I felt that?s this "new awareness" was manifesting through what amounted to mass "insights "or "revelations" moving through human culture. It seems to communicate a view of life that we inherently recognize. In other words they seem familiar because they are coming to all of us at the same time."

There are 9 insights to start with and James calls it the "Celestine Phenomenon" and that we should ponder were it would take us. Beyond this start there are insights 10 & 11 in separate books.

Hi everyone. I am interested (and will finally get round to reading the book ) but don't have any ideas or contributions yet.

Papillon · 15/09/2004 17:26

hi mummytosteven ....just got to read the first chapter or so to cover the first insight - a critical mass, so no pressure to complete the book overnight!

Hiya. Just bought the book in Waterstones so will start it later. Must say it looks fascinating. Hope it helps me figure life out, 'cos it confuses the hell out of me! LOL

wobblyknicks · 15/09/2004 18:26

oooh loads more people!!! MS - the book might really help you then - I had a lot of thoughts about life that I couldn't quite define and that book helped put some of them into words really well. I feel like it helps explain life in the same way as religions try to do but without the constraints and falseness of religion (IMO).

Surpised to see you here mts (and pleased of course) - you're an angel already so there's not much for you to learn - or have you stuck with your demotion to scary fairy???

mummytosteven · 15/09/2004 18:35

scary fairy sounds far more funky wk! the first thing that got me interested was sheer curiosity - what are these insights they are all on about, then when i saw/lurked a bit more, it sounded really interesting and sort of ties in with the cognitive therapy stuff I am doing at the moment. chapter 1, here I go

wobblyknicks · 15/09/2004 19:47

Think you will enjoy it - it's almost like a cognitive approach to religion in some ways. To me it seems to be about showing you the basic rules of life that are sensible to follow anyway rather than giving you loads of 'rules' like religion does with no reasonable explanation.

Hi, not ignoring you all, just a bit busy today. Took DD to our first baby signing class. It was really good (another 'weirdo hippy freaky thing' apparently)according to DH. Anyway, got stuck into chapter one last night as babe wouldn't settle (after effects of jabs) and I have to say I was engrossed! I did think it might be a bit 'deep' and 'heavy' but it's really not. I'm studying hypnotherapy and psychotherapy at the mo, so it holds a certain fascination to me. Have to send one to my sister now who lives in Oz.

JuniperDewdrop · 16/09/2004 14:26

Glad to hear you're engrossed Marmaladesun. Love your name by the way
I think I'll re read CP before I have any input as I've just finished it and got so wrapped up in the 8th I'm all of a muddle (though what's new?)
I've also just had to read the whole of St Mark's gospel in 2 days and try to absorb it. I'm doing a course that starts tonight and that's the preparation. My memory is pants at the moment so I think I'll try to skim through that as well before I set off?
Anyway, I'll re read the 1st tonight on my return.

Papillon · 16/09/2004 15:54

I have been teaching baby paps to sign - she waves goodbye to dh in the morning which is beautiful.

Glad your enjoying the book MS it is easy to read isn't it There have been afew other people interested so hopefully they turn up at some stage.

If you don't have the experential guide a fairygodmother can post some exercises from the book.

Also anyone else whos interested the libraries usually have copies to loan

MarmaladeSun · 16/09/2004 21:02

Papillon, I live in a real back of beyond type place, you know the sort...where everyone has the same surname and only one eye? I think if I tried to borrow any of these books from the local library I would be persecuted until caught, and then burnt at the stakes!

Angeliz · 16/09/2004 21:05

Marmaladesun, i read it whilst living in a tiny village in Greece and it got passed around till we were all feeling the glow. My freinds mum was terribly worried about her and thought she'd joined some strange cult!!

It's the best book ever, enjoy.
I hope to be joining in a bit more now. I am 4 months pregnant and early pregnancy does not make me feel very happy or spiritual but i''m lurking again on these threads

MarmaladeSun · 16/09/2004 21:12

Angeliz, DH thinks I am going to end up wearing beads in my hair and flowers between my toes. Not very practical I wouldn't think! LOL.

Angeliz · 16/09/2004 21:14

I did used to sit for long periods of time staring at my hands against the sky to see my energy feild

(Till i caught my mam watching me from the kitchen window!!!)

Papillon · 17/09/2004 08:16

anyone else interested ?
