@VioletCharlotte

Try him with rescue remedy, 3 drops direct on his tongue. be very careful, the dropper is glass - put 3 drops in his water if he's likely to snap at it!

Cats, I usually drop 3 drops on the top of one of their paws.

VioletCharlotte · 24/06/2019 22:05

Blanktimes great tip , thank you 🙏

ShhhSecretSquirrel · 25/06/2019 07:22

Many blessings to everyone.

I went to Glastonbury for the solstice, it was magical. I got some more stones & was told about this court yard place. I went to the Temple, it was quite busy though. Then we found another shop, I asked the woman, how do you know what stone you need?

She was truly amazing, she said it depends if you're going to do what needs to be done. I was puzzled, endless possibilities, I was told I needed Lapis, I said oh I've got that in two forms. She didn't force a sale saying oh my Lapis is so superior, the woman merely explained what Lapis did and how I should wear it.

I don't know if anyone here is a crystal buff, but I was told if you can't wear a stone round your neck, pop it into your bra. It honestly seems to have worked.

Glastonbury is a town pretty much, with many places to explore, I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I have a book that's really well researched, there's so many lines running through the place. I know people have said they felt a bit funny, I would have been happy to leave earlier, although I'm leaving there was this sadness if that makes sense.

I drank from the well at the bottom of the Tor, I have some health stuff, a lot happened during our 4 days there.

I had 3 readings, first pretty much from the shop keeper advising on stones, that was pretty amazing. Then was at a pub and came back from the ladies to see a man sat with DH. I assumed they knew each other, this guy just wanted to escape from shopping. His wife connects to the deceased, I said I'd do anything for a reading, it was so beautiful, I wanted to give her something for it. We got her a cup of tea, plus her husband a drink too. That was awesome. Then there was a lady doing readings for donations.

It was an interesting way of reading, I'm going to give it a go myself. She said you are a child of the light, you have it in you, you also need to know if you start this properly there's no going back. It was a good reading. So on Summer Solstice, 3 amazing readings.

I found this stone, never heart of it, I held the stone & it tingled, passed it to the shop assistant she got like an electric shock, by this point my head was feeling fuzzy. It's called Mookaite, I did get some, I got a hefty one for £3. I asked for them to get saged and was offered a saging too, I asked if DH could have one. He wasn't overly impressed getting wasted by smoke.

The next saging I do I'll definitely get the proper bundle, then get a feather I'm drawn to.

The power of the sun was amazing, the only one offish experience was a shop that said you'll enter a stranger, leave as a friend. I wanted a picture of this statue, got told off for taking photos. The building must cost a lot of money to rent, the stuff was beautiful. Anything I bought it was based on the shop feeling right.

DH promised me another deck, he was showing all these decks too me, on the second day I saw one in the window that called me. Went to see if there was a copy in the collection at the back, the copy that said buy me was the last one, so I got it. Just need to activate it.

I'd say Glastonbury is definitely a place to go. Parking isn't that bad, they have an amazing chip shop, you could spend a week just exploring everywhere.

I don't know if it's just me, I get if you're selling stones for jewellery, or high priced stones, you want them locked away. The shops with glass cabinets & bright lighting pretty much killed the atmosphere for me. There was one shop near the Abbey that had an array of stones. I also found a shop that does oils & has a stone cleansing oil.

Sending love, light and blessings to you all.

speakout · 25/06/2019 08:39

Good morning everyone. Just having some tea and making a mental list of things to do today.
BlankTimes that is really great advice about the Rescue remedy- I didn't know that you could use it on animals.
Dogs that I have had in the past have been super sensitive to alcohol though, if they managed to find even half a teaspoon of beer left in the bottom of a glass they would become quite tipsy within seconds!
I love the idea of the paw though. One of my cats is very sensitive and assumes panic stations very readily, so something I will bear in mind for truly terrifying scenarios ( usually when I have workmen in the house)

ShhhSecretSquirrel glad you had a good time at Glastonbury, your descriptions really brought things to life.
I am not too happy in busy places, they can be overwhelming for me.
I can cope, accquaintances see me as a chatty relaxed person in company, but lots of people drain the juice out of me.
My fun days are very low key!!

Well must make a start, a batch of talismen to make and bless today, awaiting some essential supllies to be delivered, and as a treat to myself a visit to my local charity shop!

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Good morning,

Tea and mental listing here too! Blue skies and a warmer day. I’m listening to the birds and admiring the new shoots sprouting from my borage seeds. Small pleasures again! Violet after you mentioned that I saw this lovely Sylvia Plath quote on the same vein.

Glad you had a good break ShhhSecretSquirrel, so many happenings! Sounds like it was the ideal choice for what you needed.

speakout I treated myself to a charity shop rummage at the weekend too- new clothes now cleansed with laundry magic and I have my eye on a collection of Kilner type jars, inspired by other’s ideas here!

Hope everyone has a good day 💫

VioletCharlotte · 25/06/2019 09:54

Thick cloud and rain here today, I woke up early to the sound of the rain, it was so soothing. The rain has broken the heavy, humid feeling that's been hanging in the air, everything feels much fresher.

I'm working from home today, so got up early to do some yoga before starting work. When I practise regularly I always feel so much calmer and everything seems to flow so much more smoothly.

Yashmis I love that quote, it sums up what we were talking about nicely. 😊

Speakout hope enjoy your day, let us know if you find any interesting charity shop treasures!

Secretsquirrel I'm glad you made it to Glastonbury and enjoyed yourself there. I've been a few times so can picture the shops you went in from your description. It's a funny old place, but there's certainly something special about it. Did you see the sunrise over the Tor? I saw a photo of it, looked incredible.

Loyaultemelie · 25/06/2019 11:52

Good morning everyone, lovely to hear about your Glastonbury experience ShhSecretSquirrel!

Another doing mental lists this morning I have a lot to catch up on having been so out of action but I'm not really up to doing it in big chunks yet so making a list to break it down.

Shelves so sorry to hear about your lossThanks I had a late 2nd trimester miscarriage with twins a few years ago and that was also what brought me back to this path too.

Today is very dark and heavy and I can just feel the atmosphere in my head, a good thunderstorm would do wonders

ShhhSecretSquirrel · 25/06/2019 12:42

I did get up the Tor, it was a really big challenge, it took a lot of time, we stupidly got up there before midnight, where those with brains got there about 3am. It was windy and oh so cold. We saw the moon literally rise. DH has a video of that & the drumming.

Daylight hit, but that doesn't mean the sun is there, so there was chanting etc. As the sun rose I just burst into tears, I'm not a sobbing kind of person, so it was just tears down my face. Then the same at sunset. It felt like a really special experience, even though by this point my legs are numb, I just want warmth.

Apparently the Winter Solstice does not have the nuttier people up there. It's calmer. Plus the town is obviously quieter.

Summer or Winter you need layers & blankets. The wind is quite harsh too as I said. Although we got a spot where it was ok'ish wind wise, but still cold. DH isn't one for feeling the cold but he struggled too.

I think DH picked up a huge orb in the dark, in the middle of the Tor building. He's the biggest sceptic known to man & he can't explain it.

You've got commercial shops, then the more relaxed ones. The Priestess Centre is free or donation, you can get saged with a woman chanting. If you continue through even further you'll get the super woman from the super shop that I saw. She knows what you need. She can see what you need help with, which is a blessing.

There's plenty of stone shops, not all feel that inviting. To get into the Abbey it's £10 per adult so we skipped that. There's hotels in the area too, plus as you're coming in to Glastonbury, so if you've got a car there's a Premier In. If you're aiming for the well & Tor, then you can park at this shop place which is right at the bottom.

It was weird how moods changed in shops.

Ooh vegan food a plenty too, some nice little places. The King William is cheapest to drink, compared to day hotels.

I've got to say I've got my new deck, but the atmosphere doesn't feel right to open it yet. I'm not sure why. So hoping something happens to clear the air so to speak.

Ooh sorry, if you have a camper van, you can go up near the Tor or around the area, there's plenty of spots to park. If anyone wants photos of the sun rise, I'll grab some off DH as some muppet stood right in front of me, I couldn't move at all by that point. A few people had tents or like fisherman tents which was a good idea.

There weren't any actual druids, there was a guy who claimed he was one. Not too sure about that though.

If anyone wants me to pass on what I have in this book I got on Glastonbury which is comprehensive, drop me a message with your email, I'll do that by the end of the week for anyone who wants it. There's literally loads of different lines running through. There was a really good poem in this pub/restaurant/hotel.

Thankfully the weather was lovely.

Ooh there's a shop, where I got my deck, they have a free crystal course worth £99. So if you check Happy Glastonbury, I think you sign up there.

Sorry for the long message.

ShhhSecretSquirrel · 25/06/2019 12:51

@Shelvesoutofbooks I'm sorry you're still struggling, I've had MC and later MC. It's hard as there is no real help from the NHS, which is a shame. I found myself reflecting quite a bit, it's finding something that works for you. So maybe journaling, poetry, mind mapping thoughts.

Call upon your Guardian Angel(s) too as they can be a big help. Sometimes if you're alone, speaking out or in your head to your Guardian Angel. Pay attention then to any thoughts etc.

SalemSpellman · 25/06/2019 13:26

@Shelvesoutofbooks sorry to hear about your MC, my first pregnancy ended in a traumatic MMC, I'm extended my deepest sympathies to you. Take your time to heal and grieve, and be kind to yourself.

BlankTimes · 25/06/2019 15:37

Good afternoon everyone.

Violet and Speakout yes, Bach remedies are all used for animals' emotional conditions, just the same as we'd use them for ourselves, Dr. Bach who invented the essences is a great person to research, his life and how he discovered and made the essences, so perceptive and so kind, I'd have loved to have met him - another wormhole for you Yashmis

Treating animals for physical conditions is much more strongly and strictly regulated than doing so for children and adults, any practitioners of anything have to be very careful with any descriptions they give. e.g. if you go to the high street chemist and ask for a bottle of lactulose for a constipated cat, they will not sell it to you. Your vet can dispense lactulose for your cat, but not a pharmacist. same applies to all sorts of ordinary everyday things.

Vibrational therapies don't come under that umbrella as they are particularly aimed at treating emotional states, not physical ones and it's possible to train in some vibrational therapies for certification to treat animals.

ShhhSecretSquirrel lovely to hear about your trip to Glastonbury and your /solstice experience. Sounds like a great trip.
Crystals, if they're too big to wear as jewellery and a bra's not an option, a pocket's fine too. I like cargo trousers for that sometimes.
Be careful with any 'stone cleansing oil' if you bought any, it could permanently stain several types of stones.
Hamish Miller and Paul Broadhurt dowsed a Michael line labyrinth on Glastonbury Tor, it's in their book the Sun and the Serpent, where they discover the Michael and Mary lines which ebb and flow together from St Michael's Mount to the Norfolk coast.
Hamish also designed and made the vesica pisces design on the cover of the Chalice Well.

Shelvesoutofbooks · 25/06/2019 16:17

Hello all - thank you for the kind words!

@ShhhSecretSquirrel I have been in touch with GAs through meditation. They appear in the forms of people I have lost, most notably my grandad who died when I was 11. It is very comforting and helps me a lot.

I have been waking up with a strange sort of feeling - like anxiety but not really. This feels much deeper. I can't quite explain it, but being out in nature resolves it almost immediately- wondering if any of you have any experience with that?

SalemSpellman · 25/06/2019 17:27

@Shelvesoutofbooks I think a lot can be said for getting out in nature. It's only modern human society that has stepped away from our natural roots. For most our history we were reliant on how nature behaved and in turn learnt to respect it. It's sad that many people have lost this connection.

I grew up in a very urban area so lost a lot of what would have been part of a childhood for my ancestors. I'm lucky that one of my grandmothers lived in the country side and is now teaching me how to read the weather and look for signs of what the plants and animals are telling me.

Plus nature is beautiful, a million times better from endless Netflix and staring at a screen. Enjoy the natural world around you, find your special place and allow it to let you heal.

NewMoonSOS · 25/06/2019 18:54

I had a lovely walk in the countryside today, birds singing, and the trees in full bloom. I've had quite a stressful few months and going through quite a period of change in my life, but just walking alone, with no technology or distractions, has done wonders for my mood.

I love taking time to appreciate what the season has to offer, and find myself looking up at the sky thinking, no matter how much things change down here on earth day to day, the sun will always rise in the morning and set in the evening. Summer will always fade to autumn, winter, spring, and summer comes again. :)

Meadowlight · 25/06/2019 20:05

Shelves I’m so very sorry to hear about your loss. Thank you for telling us about your Glastonbury trip, you made it sound magical. I haven’t been for ages which is daft really because I only live a couple of hours away.

BlankTimes I think my nervous cat could do with some rescue remedy, I will definitely try this!

It’s a warm and muggy day here, I am hoping a storm might break, but right now it doesn’t seem likely. I keep thinking of our reflections about the turning of the wheel and remembered that last year, the veil seemed to thin well before Samhain. It’s almost as if the wheel turns a bit earlier every year.

You have all inspired me back into yoga, I’m not very graceful but it’s so calming - I haven’t made it to a class yet but have been enjoying Yoga with Adrienne on YouTube!

VioletCharlotte · 25/06/2019 20:37

The synchronicity on this thread once again amazes me!

Newmoon I'm just back from an evening dog walk and have been thinking pretty much exactly the same as you. Sometimes, when you listen to the news and read about everything that's happening in the world, it can be pretty frightening and overwhelming. When I'm out walking, I take a huge amount of comfort from watching the seasons change. There's a huge amount of comfort in knowing that, despite what else is happening, the wildflowers and butterflies will be there in the summer and the corn will grow tall and golden... in the autumn the leaves will change colour and the hedges will be full of berries. It's so grounding.

Meadowlight I'm so glad you're getting back into yoga. Adrienne is fab, I often follow her videos when I practise at home. I'm about to do some bedtime yoga myself 😊

Lots of love to shelves and everyone else who has experienced a miscarriage. I had a mc after DS2, it's a horrible thing to have to go through Thanks

speakout · 26/06/2019 06:53

Good morning everyone.
Just woken - with coffee- and giving myself a little time to let my mind load up after a heavy night of dreams.

I am thinking about reading material for my holiday any suggestions?,

I bought myself a sweet little cauldron in the charity shop yesterday complete with stand, just big enough for a small piece of charcoal, I was charged only 20p. I love the independant charity shops, especially the ones that do house clearances- as this was, everything in a muddle, in cardboard boxes, piled up high, with furniture, fridges, beds, books, linen, clothes, garden equioment.
These are the places with the best treasures- and usually the cheapest too!
Another busy day with wok, but I have to go to a gym class this morning and a little food shopping.
It;'s been a while since I had a walk in my forest, rain has been torrential for a week, so hopefully we are heading for a dry spell.

Be kind to yourselves sisters.

Good morning everyone.

Enjoyed hearing about your trip to Glastonbury Shh. I find you have to sift through the debris to find the gold there, there are a lot of charlatans and a lot of broken people and energies there, but when you do find the gold it certainly shines! Did you visit the Chalice well? I found a little time spent mooching there after the Tor very restorative.

I agree with all this talk that finding joy in the simple things in life is key. It can be so easy to become lost and despondent in all the negativity and fear-mongering thrown at us primarily via the media. But there is also so much positivity and beauty happening simultaneously. I agree, observing the seasons really is such a powerful and calming antidote to the hyper-real media and corporate driven world we live in.

A very still, cloudy day here, so, so quiet. Strange atmosphere.
Well it was. The kids are awake now and the chaos has begun. Smile

Have a lovely day everyone.

Smokeonthewater · 26/06/2019 07:26

Blanktimes

Talking about synchronicity! I have a young cat who has started peeing on my duvet for no reason. Started when we were away . I stripped everything and washed it all . Kept the bedroom door closed. Took her to the vet. Assumed it won’t happen again. This morning she did it again at 6 am when I stupidly left the door open. I am in despair! It cost a fortune to get the feather duvet washed and I had just changed the bedclothes.
Searching on the internet someone suggested Rescue Remedy. My cat doesn’t drink from her bowl and I can’t imagine how I would get it into her. The paw suggestion is inspired!!
If anyone can tune into her I would be very grateful . I would like to know what the issue is. She is an odd cat. I cannot imagine having to police the bedroom for the rest of her life and and am thinking rehoming might be the only way to deal with this. However the rest of the family won’t hear of it.
Any help or suggestions welcome, especially as we’re away again next week. My son looks after her when we’re away.

VioletCharlotte · 26/06/2019 08:56

Smokeontgewater
Interestingly, my friend had recently done a communicating with animals course and is looking for pets to practise connecting with. If you'd like to post a picture of your cat and the questions you'd like to ask, I can ask her to give it a go? No guarantees, but may be interesting to see what she comes up with!

ShhhSecretSquirrel · 26/06/2019 09:03

Good morning all, getting a brew on the Aga, so taking orders 😁

@Smokeonthewater There is a way to stop it, not sure how, my brains warming up. Is the cat neutered?

@FitzsFool The water spring really seems to have impacted my health for the better. Not life changing, but a few issues have been easier the last few days. I felt ok when I was in the country & away from the different people, as you literally have all sorts, from foreign travellers, hippy folk, poorly / medicated folk. It's good to get out of the town centre & back into nature.

@speakout There a book I saw on modern witchcraft, would that be the kind of thing you want? What are your plans with the cauldron?

@Meadowlight I'm going to look more into the wheel, do you have any suggestions? I think it's a bit like sunrise / sunset on Solstice, it made me think about renewal of life and letting go of anything not so great you're holding on to.

@NewMoonSOS Strangely the best holiday I've had is where you had no signal at the cottage, plus you were so immersed in nature, I don't watch TV anyway. I'd definitely recommend either going somewhere remote or going away and switching phone off, or if you have the self discipline leave it on. We get distracted by texts / emails / a quick look at MN or whatever. Sometimes we need to be switched off from the outside world apart from say emergencies.

@SalemSpellman I'm always in trouble as I have diabetes, but I love having my feet on the grass. It's meant to recharge you with the Earth. I think we forget everything comes from the earth and goes back at some point. Focusing on that can be provoking. We live in a cottage, we still get wildlife, including an unwanted visitor who fancied the birds bread. A male & female black bird still come in the garden though. Maybe plant some wildflower seed, then nature will come back to you.

@Shelvesoutofbooks Do you think maybe it's the atmosphere maybe? Nature is so powerful, even more so if you're by the sea. That's why I love Cornwall. Looking at plants that will attract different wild life would be amazing.

@BlankTimes Thank you so much, I'll check in a second as I put it on the outside of the bag. It's a bit sneaky as they gave no warnings!

How do people go about using a new deck. Have you ever felt the time wasn't right? Do you have any affirmations for opening a new deck?

What is everyone's favourite season & month?

If you can afford it, I would say campervans are great, as it means you have a home from home that isn't alien, plus you literally drive about till you find somewhere, or a car park near sea / nature. If you work it out, the expenditure depends how good you are recycling / up-cycling. It does pay off instead of staying in Hotels.

ShhhSecretSquirrel · 26/06/2019 09:20

My aunt used to do Reiki on animals, which I thought was 'different' but apparently it works!

Smokeonthewater · 26/06/2019 09:24

violet
That would be great. Don’t know how to post a pic on here though so guidance welcome!
Ssh
I do reiki myself but she won’t sit on my lap! Distance reiki might work but I haven’t done it in a while!

Smokeonthewater · 26/06/2019 09:38

I think I’ve done it!
