Yurt - come have a cup of mellow juice

Hello fellow humans

Back by popular demand here is the Yurt

Was told of the Yurt recently and thought it sounded a fine place to come and chill.

The philosophy being, that if you:

Need some time out from steaming threads.
Or to rebalance your stressed hormones

then the Yurt is here for YOU.

thansk for the hug, tea and virtual pressies

glitterfairy · 15/06/2004 12:38

Am in the yurt today as had a good rest yesterday and have a little bit of a headcold. Any homeopthic suggestions welcome am taking echinacea. Am up for a massage a bit of sherbet again and a roll in the carpets with cakes.

Bugsy2 · 15/06/2004 13:21

Elderflower & peppermint tea has strong antiviral properties. I'll swap you some for a neck and shoulder massage as have pulled muscle on right hand shoulder.

glitterfairy · 15/06/2004 16:33

No problem just getting out my oils what would you like?

papillon · 18/06/2004 18:16

Hope the headcold has blown away and you all ready for the coming week Glitterfairy - here is a good luck charm

thank you paps I need it!

glitterfairy · 30/06/2004 21:10

Have got back from Dublin and am now relaxing with a sherbet and a walnut and coffee cake. Paps I missed you earlier and boo hoo the internet did not work this time in my hotel!

Have said hello to the fairy folk and the naughty little green men and am now really tired and need rest.

wobblyknicks · 30/06/2004 21:13

I definitely need a cup of something - got anything stronger than mellow juice though??

papillon · 30/06/2004 22:02

you had better head back to the absithne wonderknicks - the yurt only specialises in cakes, sherbert and various teas - although they may also effect you in mysterious ways

glitterfairy - those dodgey hotels - not good enuf! Do they not understand the constant necessity for web connection. Better get wireless baby - not good for your social life this on again off again upset Rest up and hope to speak b4 the paps family go camping. I will be well and truely disconnected for awhile

On my own tonight ... DH away all weekend ... fancy a bit of company ...

Ghosty · 01/07/2004 12:41

Doh ... just saw that most of this thread happened last night for you lot ...
The problem with living in NZ is that I always miss out on all the best bits on Mumsnet ...

papillon · 01/07/2004 12:45

We eat cakes all day and night in the Yurt Ghosty!!

not sure wot flavour you like most.. but Glitter left her walnut, coffee one here. And I have a banana truffle one stashed in my carpet if you fancy a slice of that!

OP posts:
Ghosty · 01/07/2004 12:51

Not sure I want to know what you have stashed in your carpet Papillon !!
Um, don't suppose you have any, um, special flapjacks do you?? Like the ones my friend used to make at Uni .. that made me feel funny??

papillon · 01/07/2004 13:00

flapjacks will be with you momentarily Ghosty - in the meantime have a seat and have a cup of tea - any flavour or persuasion you like!

OP posts:
wobblyknicks · 01/07/2004 13:02

paps - have you got anything for that drained feeling when you're not hungover but you danced too much the night before and the alcohol has dried you up like a shrivelled prune???

papillon · 01/07/2004 13:09

drink rooibos tea.. makes you feel thirsty and want to drink more - helps the dehydration

wheat grass with put a sparkle back in your toes.

And imo a wee cake may take you mind off nauseous feelings

OP posts:
wobblyknicks · 01/07/2004 13:11

Thanks paps - haven't got any of those here though so for RL a can of Pepsi will have to do!!!

papillon · 01/07/2004 13:13

greasy fry up? re-oil the prune!!

OP posts:
wobblyknicks · 01/07/2004 13:16

URGH!!! I've never been able to do a fry-up the morning after - I'd be sick!!!

No, I tried some crunchy nut cornflakes but only managed half a bowl. I'm going to dunk my head in some water and go out in the rain - that'll wake me up!!! Byeee!!

Ghosty · 01/07/2004 13:19

Papillon ... mmmmmmmmmm ..... niiiiiiice flapjack ..... la la la, la la la ....
So ... how do you know about Rooibos tea then ... I've never met anyone who's heard of it ...

glitterfairy · 05/07/2004 01:25

Paps those flapjacks are great wk if not a greasy fry up I find a big mac will do the trick its about lining your stomach but water or ribena is all I can sometimes take! Perhaps we should start a best cure for hangovers thread!
