Hello sis. Don't like (well, not that bothered really) being referred to by something I don't believe in/don't think exists ie I'm not an afairyist. Just called it "obvious" in case I rambled on with what I've just written and got a "yeah, yeah, we all know that"

agnostic is not disbelief per se, more of a show me then I'll truly believe it ind of idea.
Which is me
I was brought up a Catholic, abandoned faith along with my mother when she decided she needed to divorce my father. She left him and our faith behind.

Ah thanks for the explanation Tinker - I get it now. Maybe I am a secular humanist too - I remember doing one of those quizes a few years ago and it decided that I was closest to being a secular humanist - I like the name, but then again I am a Ms and I know that grates for loads of people too.

Think of myself as a humanist. It is so easy to hide behind a religion to have your life controlled and aportion 'blame' when things go wrong.
Or 'pray' for what you want as if that will make it happen. To live a life without these binds is harder as you have to take responsibility for your actions.
I always try to treat people as I would like to be treated myself. The biggest hypocrites I have ever met have all been from the 'god squad' of various religions.
