Cosmic Ordering

My friend is really into it and says it works for her. I'm a bit skeptical.
So I'm asking the lovely vipers people of MN to help me with a completely unscientific experiment.
Place your cosmic order, think positive and we'll see who gets what they asked for.

Does this count?

Saw "Octonauts" earlier, does that count?, also caught the end of "The Incredible Spice Men" and one of the presenters is a Sikh (wearing a red turban). Still need to see the yellow balloon though.

I am thankful and grateful for my beautiful family, my caring friends and the lovely house we live in.

I would so very much like a new job, now is the right time. I'm ready for this natural progression.

I would also love to give my DS' another sibling as I know how they would love another and are quite vocal at times about this request.
DH and I would love that to happen.

Saw the yellow balloon today!

AndIFeedEmGunpowder · 10/09/2013 09:30

Just popping in to say I saw my yellow balloon today!

Yesterday I was consciously looking out for it and it didn't appear. But had forgotten about it and was looking for wrapping paper this morning and there it was! (Does it matter that it wasn't blown up?) going to blow it up anyway so DH sees it when he gets in this eve.

Thank you universe.

SomeKindOfDeliciousBiscuit · 10/09/2013 09:45

Well I went straight for it and asked for a lottery win. We won £63! I think that's tremendous, especially as I'd never ever won more than £6 before! Buoyed by this I have pulled pulled out all the stops and asked for another house on my road and the money to do it up. There's no way I should be able to have it, it's totally out of reach. But when I look at the pictures I'm so far into it I can feel it being my house, what it's like to stand in the rooms, feeling totally overwhelmed and giddy about it. I'd like to be in for Christmas!! No point in holding back! Wink
Oh, and once I asked for a nice, kind boy for me. I was 19. We've been married nearly 10 years now :)

HighJinx · 10/09/2013 11:53

Fantastic stories here. It's lovely to hear.

I have been planning my ideal house and DH keeps saying to me 'Did you remember to ask for xxxx?' Grin

nicename · 10/09/2013 12:42

This is odd but someone at work just handed me 5 helium balloons (no yellow ones) that had been left in a room we hire out. I was whining about a horrible task I had to tackle and he just walked in, handed them to me and said 'there you go!'.

HighJinx · 10/09/2013 14:10

nicename I suppose it's too much to hope that the man who brought you the balloons was wearing a turban Wink

Not sure what to make of that to be honest but enjoy your balloons and I hope the task isn't too horrible.

nicename · 10/09/2013 14:58

No turban. He's Albanian...

SoleSource · 10/09/2013 16:20

Two men in turbans on the way to my GP appointment today ...I KNOW!

One blue and one grey. Very handsome men too :)

giraffescantdanceallnight · 10/09/2013 16:29

Someone told me they handed out thousands of leaflets for their cleaning business and then got some work. They said God made the work for them. Nothing to do with the leaflets they handed out.

So was it God, cosmic ordering or the hard work of printing and handing out leaflets? hmm

SarahStrattonIsBackForJustABit · 10/09/2013 16:31

It doesn't work.

I tried this last year, I was very precise in my order, so no wiggle room there.

However, Jason Momoa still hasn't appeared in my bed.

I cannot express my disappointment :(

DorisShutt · 10/09/2013 16:36

Sorry Stratters, you must have made your wish after me...

SoleSource · 10/09/2013 16:37

Grin Sarah give it time..I did ask for your return Sarah Grin voila!!

SarahStrattonIsBackForJustABit · 10/09/2013 17:39

But Winter is coming (geddit?), and I need him to keep me warm Grin

DorisShutt · 10/09/2013 17:43

He's too busy doing that function for me! Although I might let you borrow him when DH is home Wink

SarahStrattonIsBackForJustABit · 10/09/2013 17:54

Actually, I have discovered that one of my crushes is moving to just down the road from me, literally within long walking distance.

Sadly, I've also discovered that he looks like a troll doll in RL :(

NoToast · 10/09/2013 19:27

Hello all,

Great thread, thought I would share my cosmic ordering stories. Many years ago me and a mate were trying to hitchhike a hundred miles back home after visiting a friend. We'd left it far too late to leave and were stuck in the dark on a mountain road in a very remote area. A car passed about once every half an hour and clearly none were going to stop at night for us (the mate was a big guy).

What I really wanted was to go and see some other friends 40ish miles away but instead decided to 'ask the universe' to get home- preferably in one lift, please.

A short time later a car stopped and offered to take us a bit further down the road to somewhere busier. I'm in the back chatting and suddenly realise that I've met the guy before and he knows my friends. He was on the way to visit them and we tagged along and stayed the night, the next day he dropped us home (a 200 mile journey)as it was on his way.

I also ordered my house, I wrote down in great detail how I wanted everything and sealed it in an envelope. We bought a place and opening the envelope a year later I was amazed how much the house matched what we asked for (on a very small budget).

buzzing · 10/09/2013 21:44

I have delurked to say a massive thank you for this inspirational thread. I have been looking all summer for a cheap set of garden furniture on eBay but everything was going above my budget.

Yesterday I visualised sitting in my garden on my very cheap furniture, and this evening I bought a table, four chairs and umbrella stand for the princely sum of SIX POUNDS!!

Everything else I've seen like this has gone for upwards of fifty pounds.

Have got a pretty big work related order to put in now, will keep you updated with how that goes.

BellaDesconocida · 10/09/2013 21:46

I've been lurking & seeing things other people have asked for before reading the thread updates - yellow balloon in DD's storybook (then I read about asking for yellow balloons on here), asked for a specific balloon whilst others had moved on to penguins, saw a penguin, my dr today was wearing a turban & now I read about turbans.

I kind of went looking for my balloon (white with silver stars) when I was in a card shop & did see a balloon with stars on it & one silver star was on part of the balloon that was white. Does that count?

SirRaymondClench · 10/09/2013 22:21

I'm loving reading the stories of you guys who have been doing this for ages. I think it's wonderful!

Notoast that;s amazing you getting your lift home. Of all the cars to stop...Smile Get ordering some other stuff, you're good at this!

Buzzing I bet you can't wait to sit out on your new garden furniture!

Bella do you 'feel' like that was your balloon? I do this sometimes when it's 'close but not quite' and if it doesn't feel like it's 'the one' then go through the steps and ask again. You'll get that balloon.

Someone asked upthread if the balloon had to blown up. Our yellow balloons have come in ALL guises! Hot air balloons, drawings of balloons, on tv, real balloons, burst balloons, balloons on invitations....the Universe can get pretty creative. You just have to go through the steps and believe and wait and be alert. You don't need to go looking but be alert. Your balloon (or whatever you ask for) will find you.

And for anyone asking if something is too big to ask for or too many things or too much. Ask for whatever you want, believe you deserve it (that last bit of advice was from Jim Carrey who built his life on LOA and still does)

NoToast · 10/09/2013 23:40

Am going to Sir Raymond, thanks for the encouragement. I have been going through crappish/lean times for years and not asked for anything. This thread has inspired me to start again.

I work in a very small, specialised field and have been really stressed and unhappy. Have just had an almighty EPIC fail of a job interview which leaves me unemployed and unlikely to have anything suitable to apply for in ages at my location. I feel as though I've been given 'permission' to change roles. Just working out my exact 'ask the universe' (straight after I've asked for a turban). Will let you know how I get on.

DP is away tonight, so which of you is going to relinquish George Clooney? I'm giving you half an hour, tops Grin

UserError · 11/09/2013 00:22

Ok, you've all convinced me. I've had it in my head that I would like £5000. I lost my job due to illness and received a compensation payment of £4300. Coupled with the holidays owed to me, by the end of the month I will have £5000.

nicename · 11/09/2013 08:37

What are we looking for today? I need a new house, DH needs a job and the bleeding/pain needs to stop (in reverse order).

EeTraceyluv · 11/09/2013 12:21

I have written down a few requests and put them in my purse. The main one is to have enough money so dh is not constantly in a terrible physical state of unwellness worrying :( I have written that I am thankful for no longer having money worries, and that I am thankful we are on a proper family holiday. Is that right?? I have also thanked the universe for the happy healthy and beautiful children we already have.

BellaDesconocida · 11/09/2013 12:57

sir, no it did not, I have reordered it Grin
