Oooh SES have been wondering how you are, prayers for the right timing and a good birth for you, so exciting!

Weegie wow that's so great about how the treatment is helping, praying things will get even better for you. praying that visit with mil will be good.

Praying DO is getting on OK.

Mary how is dd now?

Tea how are things with LM, have been thinking of you, and PA how is your dd and things with you?

Feeling more positive today after seeing consultant yesterday. Feel suddenly much closer to God - do any of you ever have those dry times and then suddenly one day it's like God turns up again - not that he's been away - but it's lovely, like refreshing rain...more please!

Teaandcakeplease · 29/05/2012 11:03

MHD it's always lovely when that happens and you feel God more.

LM is trying to keep busy with work and doing some decorating for extra money on the side to fund this awful legal saga, the fees are rising. It's a crucial week for him and he is feeling very very stressed Sad Prayers for peace, that even now they will perhaps find a way to fair contact with the DCs and on maintenance and of course a just judge. Need a miracle and he needs God's peace that surpasses all understanding a Godly wisdom at this time. Tis pants. I haven't seen him for 2 weeks now Fair amount of talking by text and online though. He's a good man but I am starting to see why so many men do not have a relationship with their children post divorce Sad I am so amicable with my ExH and work hard to ensure he does see my DCs often and have a good relationship with them. I cannot get my head around why anyone would do differently. But the again I wasn't the betrayer. I never cheated, I wanted my marriage to last for life and my children to have a loving father in their lives. LM's ExW kicked him out and moved a rich man in and makes the kids call him Daddy instead Angry It's so so wrong on every level

Teaandcakeplease · 29/05/2012 11:04

Woops! Fair amount of typos. Hopefully you can translate it Blush

redwhiteandblueeyedsusan · 29/05/2012 11:24

ooo ses. i hope you get better fortune for a convenient birth. ds came on the one day that i had a patchwok of child care for dd. she was passed around like a parcel. it was the one day that no-one as able to do a whole day!

hope it all goes well fo lm.

the costume arrived in school in one piece. it looked fab. [big head emotion] best not to examine it too closely though! got to go and deliver her jubilee cakes as she has allergies and can not eat the school ones (that paents have provided anyway!) a friend as up making cakes at 11 for her daughter with coeliacs. it is a bit annoying to have to sort out.

redwhiteandblueeyedsusan · 29/05/2012 14:56

got the post costume making grumps after being up late several nights. got to go and collect her in a 2 mins. got the iambu's too as one girl who has already won something at school has won the flag making comptition... i know iabu and pfb

amberlight · 29/05/2012 16:32

Keeping prayers going for everyone. Been a bit distracted after quite a bad reaction to the amount of anaesthetic they used on me for that operation last week. Took until Sunday to feel human again Hmm

PositiveAttitude · 29/05/2012 19:05

Praying for everyone as I read through.

SES babies NEVER arrive on the MOST convenient day!! All through DD1's pregnancy I was told there was one day I could not possibly have a baby. DHs work had forbidden a day off then, yes, guess what day she arrived! Grin

RW&B well done on getting it all done.

MHD Its lovely when God "turns up" and smiles on you! Very pleased you have had such a day today.

Weegie I hope the treatment continues to have such a positive affect.

Amber prayers that you will feel tonnes better soon.

Ginger - ((hugs)) Prayers that things settle down with DS. Don't worry, we have all been there.

DO prayers for Bob and that things are going well with you both.

Mixed bag of news here: DD2 has been accepted on the theology and youthwork degree course she wants to do for September, but she needs to find a placement in London that will accept her now. Prayers for the right place to be made available for her please.
DD3 is still waiting to find out what is happening with her next year. All up in the air. I have asked one man for a sort of favour, which would benefit her and him, but I am waiting to see if he will do it. She has an interview for college in a few weeks, but has already been told that she probably wont be well enough to do it. Prayers that it is all sorted out quickly please, before we go!!!

Seven weeks today we will be flying off!! Grin Very excited!! Loads to do, masses to sort out! Although my jobs have suddenly become more manageable, even though my week "off" didn't happen, I can now relax a bit more on a general week.

I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine today.

jan2011 · 29/05/2012 20:00

reading and thinking of u all but im struggling to pray at the minute. ive had a difficult day - stressful busy few days and feeling overwelmed

Bluetinkerbell · 29/05/2012 20:01

don't worry jan even just sighing is a prayer! :)

redwhiteandblueeyedsusan · 29/05/2012 21:39

it has been a bad day. one wet at nursery, one wee outside the frornt door that was flowing across the landing. one who did not wear her cloak for longer than 5 minutes which resulted in a mummy strrop and a crying dd and a mummy apologising. i wanted a sleep but the man came to fix the buzzer so that I couldn't. i made cakes for dd and took them over to school as they can not provide cakes for allergy sufferrers...

ds has bitten, scratched and pinched all day. he bit me in front of the secretary at school as I told him off for opening a door he shouldn't and moved him away from it when he refused to stop. he manaeged to scratch chunks out of my face... twice today and had a good go a couple of more times. he fell over and grazed his head on the concrete and knees and elbows and hand. i thought he had concussion and was worried about having to take him to the hospital but he perked up when he saw the bees flying around their nest... i had to wrestle him into his clothes this morning. again. and was late getting him to school. Blush wrestle him into his sun cream and a couple of times into the car seat whilst trying to stop myself getting bitten, scratched or pinched.

Tuo · 30/05/2012 03:02

Oh no, BES. That sounds like a really tough day. Prayers that you're getting a good sleep now and that tomorrow will be better. Praying for a better day tomorrow for jan, too.

Praying for health for Bob, for MHD, for amber, and for weegie.

Praying for a trouble-free VBAC for SES (ahem - preferably on Friday!).

Praying for PA as she prepares for her Very Big Adventure, and for her family.

And praying for everyone here. It's too late to list you all by name, but you're in my thoughts a lot.

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 30/05/2012 05:53

Had a great weekend at our Quaker conference. Was lovely to see lots of good friends there. But I'm feeling exhausted now ! - especially on Monday when I traveled home in the morning and worked at pre-school in the afternoon - was lovely to see the DCs after school on Monday - though at first they said it was too hot for hugs ! Luckily I don't work Tuesday's so could get a bit of a rest yesterday, though also went out to lunch with a friend, but that was very pleasant and we went for a walk in the park and saw the ducks and geese with their broods of baby ducklings and goslings. Such a lovely Spring sight that I've enjoyed since childhood Smile

Hope today will be a better one for bes and jan and that everyone has a good day !

redwhiteandblueeyedsusan · 30/05/2012 07:17

was reading the sen boards last night and a lot of the threads about asd are sounding very familiar. years of coathanger waving have made me wonder for a long time.

MaryBS · 30/05/2012 10:20

Aspies are lovely, redwhiteandblueeyedsusan :o.

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 30/05/2012 10:25

Why are you waving coat-hangers, bes ?

< wonders if it should be obvious .... Blush >

amberlight · 30/05/2012 13:01

BES, do you mean your ds waves coathangers about?
ASD...usually in young children shows itself as an inability to work out what someone means from their body language, face expressions, eye contact, gestures, tone of voice etc. And a complete panic/meltdown if something unexpected happened. And a complete panic/meltdown in any situation where there is a ton of social activity/bright noisy smelly places like supermarkets. Plus same meltdown/panic if things aren't Fair, and if someone touches their stuff without permission, or moves things that are lined up or placed in a particular way. And misunderstanding expressions and taking them really literally. And sounding Little Professorish, which comes across as arrogance. Does that help?

amberlight · 30/05/2012 13:03

ooo plus repetitive behaviour...rocking, flapping, making noises, repeating phrases over and over and over...
Not that I do any of these things myself, oh no. Blush

Inneedofsanity · 30/05/2012 13:18

Please may I join you all?

I am a christian but find it hard to make time to pray.

Have been through many ups and downs the past few years, and have drifted since DS's traumatic birth and subsequent illness. Having said that I put his amazing recovery down to the power of prayer! :-)

I am 35 weeks pregnant with DC 2,
and getting rather panicky that things will go wrong again in the next few weeks like stillbirth or severe illness again for this baby. Sad

Would really appreciate some prayers for strength and courage over the next few weeks, and also for a calm safe birth please.
Thank you in advance.

Will be praying too for all of you. Good time to restart! X

gingercurl · 30/05/2012 13:59

Hello, Inneed. Prayers for a lovely and positive run-up to birth and a calm and powerful delivery, when the time comes.

Praying for all on here.

Thanks for your prayers. Yesterday was better. SES DS will be 5 in August.

jan2011 · 30/05/2012 14:27

thinking of you all

welcome inneed - prayers for you also

amber i get the whole panic/meltdown if things aren't planned and are unexpected, and also if there is loads of stimulation (too many people, too much noise or bright light) i like my routines, predictability, calmness, etc.

redwhiteandblueeyedsusan · 30/05/2012 14:47

aaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh packing for holiday panic.....

wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

lostmywellies · 30/05/2012 14:48

Oh, what a dreadful day that sounds, bes! Hope you're having a good one to follow it up. Or at least some sleep!

gingercurl - my ds is almost the same age, and I think sweet but exasparating best sums him up!

SES - praying for a smooth VBAC.

weegie - very glad to hear of the improvements. Hope things are going well with the MIL.

mhd - glad to hear of an end to your "dry spell" and feeling God again. I'm in something of an April showers time at the moment - God keeps appearing and disappearing! And just like the sun, I know God's always there, really although sometimes I'm not sure.

jan - I will pm you in the next day or two, have been thinking it through, but also avoiding the computer!

Hello, Inneed, welcome! Prayers for peace and strength and a straightforward delivery of a healthy baby when the time comes.

Prayers for PA and family in the run-up to the big move east.

And sleep prayers for Tuo? 3am isn't a time that I enjoy experiencing...

DutchOma · 30/05/2012 15:43

Welcome INoP end of pregnancy hs always an anxious time so prayers that you will be able to put your trust in theLord

jan2011 · 30/05/2012 16:27

dutchoma we are all praying foru and Bob, look forward to having u back tomorrow

lost i have been thinking of u this week and hope you can get a little more help with the kids if your dh is back - please no rush in pm me :)

im headed out for dinner very soon with family. hoping it goes well as all i want to do is curl up on the sofa and not have to deal with a massive family dinner and photos etc etc etc which spells one word to me: s t r e s s

but it never has to be that way does it - in the lords kingdom. cos he said if you do it in your own strength youre snookered - but if you do it in MY strength you can do all things and more...
so i will go in His strength, and i will go with a glass half full in my head and stop moaning...
rejoice rejoice this is the day the lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in it.
rejoice rejoice the devil is defeated. rejoice rejoice our names are written in heaven. rejoice rejoice all these 'things' are but momentary light afflictions - soon they will be gone and we will be free forever and ever and ever

madhairday · 30/05/2012 18:14

Amen, jan. Sometimes life gets so hard, but remembering these truths can empower us in new ways. God is good.

Welcome, inneed, and praying for a safe delivery and healthy baby.

How are you feeling SES?

Oh BES - hard times for you. Praying things improve esp with ds.

Exciting times, PA! Praying for DDs 2 and 3.

Glad you enjoyed your conference, juggling.

Praying for you all.

Good day again here with happier lungs. Hoping it lasts all of next week. DD though has been off school with what we suspect is sunstroke. She is having UV treatment for her psoriasis at present and that coupled with too much sun could easily have this effect. she can't keep anything down and has been white as a sheet most of the day bless her. praying she is better for tomorrow.
