Praying for your little 8 weeker and birds

FriendofDorothy · 09/05/2012 18:59

I have got a bit of bleeding again. I am really scared Sad

birdofthenorth · 09/05/2012 19:25

FoD, we are in the same boat. Praying for you and your bean, and sending a great big hug. It is horrible waiting & worrying. I am finding everyone's prayers a huge comfort.

FriendofDorothy · 09/05/2012 19:37

I am just finding it devastating. We took so long to conceive and I could do without this stress :(

blackeyedsusan · 09/05/2012 20:45

reading, praying, especially thinking of you bird and fod

DutchOma · 10/05/2012 07:21

Sorry to hear about your trouble with ds, BES. The one thing I keep thinking about is how beautiful a child he was when you came to the meet-up last summer. And how incredibly well behaved. I'm sure you are thinking "yeah right", but I thought I would share it anyway.

DutchOma · 10/05/2012 07:31

Please pray for Expat's daughter A, her transplant is today.

MaryBS · 10/05/2012 08:40

Prayers for A, for FoD, for Bird and for BES's DS...

My DS is under the weather, don't think its anything too serious, but another day off school (he was ill on Tuesday as well).

Thank God for a tremendous sense of comfort I felt whilst praying in the middle of the night. It was much needed!

ZipadiSoozi · 10/05/2012 10:22

Mary - prayers ds is ok and gets better today xx

FOD and Bird - prayers for you both as you go through a tough time, I bled when I was pregnant with my ds1 for a few weeks, (he is now 16yo) it is very frightening, so prayers your little beans hold on tight! xx

Prayers for my ds1 taking his GCSE's, he finishes school next Friday and then just goes in for exams.

madhairday · 10/05/2012 12:33

Oh FoD, praying, you too, Bird. :(

Praying for A lots today.

Prayers for Sooz' ds and Mary's.

My dd has SATS next week and is stressing. We have told her they really don't matter but her teacher is hyping them up Angry Her psoriasis is playing up....

Feeling generally unable to cope atm...all too much, not enough energy, lungs constantly being crap. But just listening to a song saying 'I am safe in the arms of the Father...I know your love will never fail.' remembering this today, and praying it for you all too.

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 10/05/2012 14:28

Thank you for your prayers madhairday

Praying for all the DCs (and hopeful DCs to be) from tiny bean sized to strapping lads taking their GCSE's and all the rest of them in between Smile

Could your dd possibly have tomorrow off mhd as her psoriasis is being affected (and that way she can miss the worst of teacher's last minute hype) and then just go in and do the blinking things (SATS) next week ? Will be praying for her, mainly that she doesn't find them stressful. And for you too, coping prayers for all x

blackeyedsusan · 10/05/2012 14:49

I am struggling today. for no real reason really. perhaps a bit tired. a niggle over school reading books has resurfaced. they say i damaged it, I say they damaged it and no-one is communicationg with me. I had to ask the secretary after 6 weeks. in the mean time dd does not have a reading book. which was crap anyway so i should not really be bothered. I am worried about ds as he has diarhoea quite badly again and he is sleepierr than normal. he is however going to the toilet at school. mum has to have a blood test to see if she is anaemic, then further investigations. mil is asking to see the dc's but may is fairly busy and it is mums birthday soon and we ae going away and dd has a party and h is away one weekend and I want to see my mum as soon as they are well enough to have the children... and i am feeling had done by by doing all the work and ... blah di blah di blah... just got to get on with it really... going to bed would bloody help.

prayers for fod and bird.

MHD is that the song by Ben Cantelon? He used to be the worship leader at my church. Now of course it's Beth Croft. I realised how long I've been at Soul Survivor the other day, as I was there when Matt Redman was still the worship leader, which is now about 11 years ago. Time flies. He was/ is so anointed. Listening to his "We shall not be shaken" album a lot this last week.

Teaandcakeplease · 10/05/2012 15:43

BES my lovely ((hugs)) for you. Can sympathise a lot being a lone parent too x x x

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 10/05/2012 16:59

Schools should be more understanding about the odd lost or damaged reading book IMHO. I know their budgets are really stretched but they should be able to stretch to occasionally replacing an ancient reader which is probably donkeys years old anyhow. It's just a shame if parents and/or children are put off the reading process and/or relationships between school and home are damaged over something really fairly trivial. I think if you say you weren't responsible for the damage they should probably leave it at that and move on.
Hope things can be resolved on that anyway, bes Smile

madhairday · 10/05/2012 18:36

TACP yes, it is Ben Cantelon, his new album is brilliant.

Sooo jealous of you going to Soul Survivor church, would love to go sometime :)

Teaandcakeplease · 10/05/2012 18:57

Awww you're too far away to visit aren't you? But they do Saturday celebrations once a month that are great. I get the worship leaders to babysit as well as others when I help on the RDS course in London Grin Surrounded by awesome peeps who help me out for just tea and cake.

If you ever come down, please please please tell me when, so I can meet you x

madhairday · 10/05/2012 19:07

Those celebrations look great. Maybe will make it down sometime. :) Mike Pilavachi has been around so long, he was leading groups at camps when I was a yoof Grin He's fab, always makes me laugh a lot.

Teaandcakeplease · 10/05/2012 19:22

The May one is cancelled, not sure why they haven't updated the website. The fb page announced it though Smile Yep Mike is old Wink

theres nothing that chills the heart like the words... "I can see a spider" it was a big one when asked. I go creeping down the landing and peer up at the ceiling in the bedroom expecting a monster... nothing... turn round and finally my eyes adjust to the glare of the light and see the tiniest .. fly darrting around the light... took a while for the heart ate to go down though.

jan2011 · 11/05/2012 07:20

ooh BES i am scared of spiders too.... hope you are ok lol

Amber i hope yourfeeling a bit better now and can enjoy getting away on hols you deserve a lovely time

madhairday sorry you are struggling at the minute, how are you feeling today?

juggling how are things with your dh at the minute? i hope this weekend is better for you.

thanks to all who prayed for dh and me - the counselling is more positive now. we have both learnt in counselling that his behaviour stems from his mum, and he is repeating it in our relationship. this is helping us understand and also certain ways i react too stem from my upbringing, so we are both working on things now and this week has went better probably as dh has been working round the clock on assignments so i haven't seen much of him
