birdofthenorth · 07/05/2012 22:13

Doing ok thank you, sad but prayerful. Very heartened by all your prayers and kind words. Thank you x

Tuo · 07/05/2012 22:43

Praying for you, and with you, bird. I'm so sorry...

Praying for you, too, amber, for rest now and a good holiday. I am the wrong person to ask about how to avoid taking on too much (though I haven't just had a year of cancer treatment, of course), but I guess you need to try to identify the warning signs that you're flagging and take action before you get to the point of actually collapsing. I really hope that you are OK now. And well done on the conference.

MHD Hope you didn't overdo it too much and that you recover well.

Prayers for everyone else too.

blackeyedsusan · 08/05/2012 07:17

OP posts:
madhairday · 08/05/2012 12:50

Bird, I am so sorry. Praying.

Just found out a teacher in the dcs old school has died, quite young. PLease pray for her family and friends and the school. She was a fab teacher. dd had her quite a lot and loved her. need to tell her later. such a shock :(

ZipadiSoozi · 08/05/2012 13:20

Birdofthenorth - prayers for you

DO - just noticed your Sat post, continued prayers for you and bob - you can 'let it all out' on here, I have very broad shoulders! Smile I too don't get to church much, only once a month (ish) but, I am doing a 'Christianity Explored' course atm, I am enjoying it, a lot of homework, studying the book of 'Mark' - it is always nice to be in a group though isn't it, can you hold a knitting/prayer/ cholcolate group at your home. Grin xx

Heyyyho · 08/05/2012 20:51

Prayers for all of you. Bird so, sorry Sad

DD had a urine culture test taken today which is coming back Friday morning. The outcome (if there is no infection) would be incredible as the alternative would be another blast of AB brining her down again.

Love to you all.

Tuo · 08/05/2012 23:02

Prayers for a good result from your dd's test, Heyyyho.

Still praying for you too, Bird.

Hello, Soozi... Nice to see you.

So sorry to hear about the teacher at your dc's old school, MHD. Hope your dd took the news OK. Prayers for her family, the kids that she taught, and all who knew and loved her.

blackeyedsusan · 08/05/2012 23:04

aggggghhh morrisons bread has gone off 2 days befroe it should and I have no bread for lunch... after carefully counting slices of bread. ds has been challenging this evening and cried for light off, then because it was dark. dd has gone to bed late as we are trying to do something for her homework.

OP posts:
DutchOma · 09/05/2012 06:39

Praying that the new day will bring more solutions than problems.

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 09/05/2012 07:39

Like your post DO I hope that too - for everyone.

bes - The on/off light thing reminded me of the "Cutted Up Pear" thing - did you ever read that thread - I think it is rightly in classics !

  • Child demands cutted up pear but then throws it across room in anger as it is all cutted up Grin All told from child's POV as an AIBU !!

I'm visiting my new job today (Pre-School) so please pray that it goes well and I get off to a good start with everyone Smile

Also please pray for DH and I as the weekend storm has not completely died down just yet. I guess he's worried about finances but being so angry with me isn't going to help. Communication both ways is also an issue. All the old chestnuts !

blackeyedsusan · 09/05/2012 08:11

finally fell into bed at 12.30. gave up and got up a little early to make lunch a

DD was very upset, and very concerned about her old classmates/teachers. She has gone in very subdued. Veru difficult day altogether as we also had a situation to sort out with her regarding stashing junk food in her room. the teenage years beckon.....I feel so scared about it all sometimes and not good enough at being a mum :(

I love that cutted up pear thread Grin

MaryBS · 09/05/2012 11:58

Prayers, MHD, Heyyyho, Bird, BES, Juggling, and all in need of prayer.

I can relate to the not being a good enough mum, MHD. But it would be far worse for her if you weren't around (thats what i tell myself anyway). Hang in there, if you like we'll hang in there together?

PositiveAttitude · 09/05/2012 12:46

Prayers for everyone. I have been reading and praying, but time to post is eluding me at the moment.

MHD don't worry about the teenage years. Its OK, they do survive!! And so do you!! We have had major ups and downs, but its OK! (It will all be alright in the end and if it's not alright it isn't the end!)

blackeyedsusan · 09/05/2012 13:54

prayers for the scan bird.

OP posts:
birdofthenorth · 09/05/2012 14:01

Hello all, thank you so much for your prayers. Reading your situations and praying for you too. We have some hope -our scan today showed a heartbeat. The baby is measuring small though & I am bleeding even more heavily now though, so it is one day at a time. Thanks again for your prayers

blackeyedsusan · 09/05/2012 14:49

oh dear. time for the school run. I hope i make a abette job of the evening routine today. it all went pearshaped yesteday. Sad

OP posts:
amberlight · 09/05/2012 15:20

Bird, more prayers....and for everyone else too....

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 09/05/2012 16:08

If it all goes pear-shaped today bes just cut it up and hand it round - They are all sure to be delighted with some Cutted Up Pear Grin - if DSs on/off light antics are anything to go by Smile

Hope you have a better night tonight x

Thinking of you all tonight, special prayers for bird

madhairday · 09/05/2012 16:24

Praying, bird.

Mary yes would love to muddle through it together with you. I feel an even worse mum now as just took them to the dentist and dd got a rollocking for bad oral hygeine. Felt like the dentist was thinking 'what kind of mother doesn't make sure their child is cleaning their teeth properly?' and she needs extractions (due to milk teeth/adult teeth growing together) filling {due to broken teeth] and a brace (due to thumb sucking). How rubbish am I???? I know it will all be fine, I know that really....just feel so small and so useless right now. :(

My DS had to have dental extractions of milk teeth on two occasions as they just did not last the course. I was also told off by dentist for breastfeeding a toddler as "breast milk is very sweet you know" - Hmm, I doubt it's as bad as squash or other common culprits.

We need to go again soon mhd so thanks for the reminder I wonder what could have caused me to forget

Anyway, don't feel bad mhd We're all doing our best, in our own way aren't we ? x

FriendofDorothy · 09/05/2012 17:12

Your prayers would be appreciated. I am 8 weeks pregnant and had quite a bad bleed yesterday. I had a scan and the doctor seems to think that I may have been pregnant with twins and have lost one. There was one healthy 8 week foetus there with a beating heart tho.

Obviously I am very anxious and praying that there are no repeats of the bleeding.
