Sorry I've been quiet, am praying but didn't feel I had much to say, I just feel like I'm moaning all the time!

Had a nice day off with dh yesterday, got Subway for lunch and sat in the park and it was warm!!

My symptoms are deteriorating again, numbness and pins and needles spreading in my legs, more unsteady on my feet. I'm back in hospital for 5 days as a day patient next week for more immunoglobulin therapy by IV and some more nerve testing., and I'm hoping the IVIG will stop the progression like it did the last time.

Dh is struggling. He was on call last night and said he couldn't sleep for thinking about all I'm losing. Prayers for him would be very much appreciated!

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 22/03/2012 11:37

It's OK weegie - we are here for you, and want to be

  • I think you're the least moany person I've ever come across !
  • But if you do ever want a moan we're all ears

Some others on here may be better at understanding what you're going through than me. I can only imagine really.

We are praying for you and DH every day.

I've felt the difference knowing that people have been praying for me in the last few days too - when I've been fairly inexplicably glum ( though job and relationship worries have combined somewhat ) Things looking brighter here today.

Hope you have a good day too weegie - yesterday sounded nice with lunch in the park ? Smile

amberlight · 22/03/2012 12:30

Weegie, huge prayers...

And for everyone else too...

Here, prayers of thanksgiving - surgeon says my first six-month checkup after the breast cancer is OK!!!!

jan2011 · 22/03/2012 13:00

praying weegie so sorry you and dh are struggling so much.

the weather has turned nice - i hope it lasts. please pray for me and dh - he has lots of work on - i have a very demanding baby and am not coping very well, i try to cope by going out but she cried all through babygroup this morning and when i met my friend so just had to come home. my head is melted and i don't know how to keep going on.

PatsyPlusOne · 22/03/2012 13:08

Hi everyone, just came across this thread as it was in most active and have had a little skim read of the posts. I wondered if I could join you all, as you seem like a lovely supportive bunch. Not that I particularly need support at the moment, but I do believe that prayers lift people up. My Nana prayed for me every day while she was alive and I feel as though I have been blessed by her kind thoughts, so now I try to take time to pray for others too.

blackeyedsusan · 22/03/2012 13:29

hello patsy! welcome!

oh dear, ds is a handful today. I am feeling particularly sensitive about it today.

OP posts:
DutchOma · 22/03/2012 13:50

Welcome Patsy, nice to have you with us.
Weegie" what Oranges* said, you are definitely not moaning more than is reasonable, so carry on if it helps.
Bes have you found that receipt yet? Hope ds cheers up and becomes less of a handful. Not got any size 9 boots, so can't oblige on that count.
Very pleased to hear your news Amber

blackeyedsusan · 22/03/2012 14:36

I have done a bit more, though dumping stuff on the bed is not exactly helpful...I have stopped for coffee now, before school run, library, tea, baths, bed, lunch, finding clothes, etc, etc, etc...

OP posts:
weegiemum · 22/03/2012 14:46

Thanks for bring so nice Smile. I feel like I keep coming on here to moan. Feeling sorry for myself, I went to work today. Realised that I'm ok really - one of then ladies I teach was off. When I asked why I was totally shocked. Her dp has been arrested for brothel- keeping and was pimping several women - including her !! this is all so new to me, and something I had never imagined! So please pray for L.(obviously I can't give names!)

I'm ok otherwise, getting organised with childcare etc as I am in hospital next week and am not sure if I will be home for the end of school every day. Luckily we have amazing neighbours and friends!

Oh, and it might seem trivial, but ds has his grade 1 piano a week tomorrow! He's great but a little nervous about the oral part. He's just 10, and has been learning for a year, and his teacher thinks he's quite musically gifted, so it would be nice if he did well (so nice to have a "pleasant" concern!!).

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 22/03/2012 17:53

Hi weegie - and welcome patsy - lovely to hear about your Nana praying for you every day - how lovely is that Smile

My DS has his trumpet grade 3 coming up and is very nervous about it as he's only just done his grade 1 and this is a bit of a jump up (but his teacher thinks he'll be fine with it - although I notice he did give him an extra lesson this week !) Am trying to reassure that he'll be fine, and yes, practicing every day might be an idea, and even if he fails it's OK and he can do it again ( but then DS mentioned the cost of the exam and I was probably a bit Shock - but we'd still try to be kind obviously if it did happen )

So, can I join the request for prayers for music exams please !

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 22/03/2012 19:22

Ah, he's just having a slight melt-down about his arpeggios this evening

  • Have reassured that he won't have to play all of them Smile
thejaffacakesareonme · 22/03/2012 19:25

Weegie - Everyone needs to offload and you have been through so much. How is DH today? Prayers for you both.

MHD - when is your DH back?

Hi Patsy - you've just reminded me of my Gran who also used to pray for all her family every day.

Prayers for all those with exams and assessments

lostmywellies · 22/03/2012 20:16

jan - sorry you're having such a hard time. Just as well babies are only babies for a year or two, isn't it? This time will pass... and once you get some sleep and some space you will feel able to think again. Still praying for you and dh.

SES - grr, how typical that the overseas company changes its deadline. Does that mean the other candidate they were interested in wasn't interested in them?! I think it's quite RATIONAL of you to be stressed about it all over again! Best of luck talking it through this weekend and you will both be in my prayers.

I have a cold. Not a terrible one, but a worse-in-the-evenings one. And guess what? The boiler's playing up again!! Angry It's worked for - ooh, two weeks? Or is it one? I'm not building a fire at this time of night and the only electric heater is in one of the dc's rooms. So I'm off to bed in a mo...

lostmywellies · 22/03/2012 20:18

Actually, jan, your baby's still small, isn't she? So things will be looking up in a matter of months most likely. Just in case the idea of a year or two was too much to bear! :)

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 22/03/2012 20:19

Sorry if you're a bit cold wellies- but at least it's milder than it has been ?
Perhaps it will be OK under the duvet ?

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 22/03/2012 20:23

Oh, and if any one was praying about DS and his arpeggios thank-you Smile

He realised he only had to play one octave but was mistakenly trying to do two !

Much calmer now Smile

lostmywellies · 22/03/2012 20:43

Yes, I shall huddle up with a lemsip and be fine. The morning won't be so nice, though, especially if dd3 does her new usual thing of waking at 5:30. They always sleep better when dh is here - roll on Monday!

blackeyedsusan · 23/03/2012 07:27

today is the day, and still no receipt. still got 2 places to look and a cupboard to empty.

Awful situation at school. This girl who has been pretty vile to dd from the start has accused her of racism and written a letter to the teacher outlining some vile things dd was supposed to have said to her about being black and to a girl who is Muslim, really vile stuff. There is no way on earth dd would say anything like this whatsoever, it would be utterly contrary to her character and she is horrified this has been said. The head had her in her office yesterday asking her about it and dd was reliueved that the head believed her and knows her well enough, but nothing more was said and so not sure what is being done. DD feels violated by it tbh. This from one of the girls who called her scabby and dirty due to her psoriasis. DD is so upset. I don't know how to handle it really. I have rung the head and she is ringing me back. Please can you pray. And ds is off school again ill, much worse now. Everything seems to be going wrong, I feel ill again myself today.

dh back on wednesday...bring it on.

DutchOma · 23/03/2012 11:00

Oh darling, that is so utterly horrible. Praying for the Lord's peace around you. Be assured that He is in control and that things will turn out for the good. "Be still and KNOW that I am God."

Bob is going out to ds's in-laws tomorrow when I am going to see Dippy. I'm so relieved he won't be on his own all day.

lostmywellies · 23/03/2012 11:39

Oh good that dh is back in under a week now, mhd, didn't want to ask in case it was still a while! Gosh, how awful for your dd. I'm sure the teachers know what's really going on; hope they have the skills to sort out the situation. Hope dd finds real friends in all this. Praying for strength for you to get through the last few days; are your parents staying for the weekend?

Bes, do hope you find it or you miraculously don't need it!
