oh, yeah, the Holy Spirit is definitely cool.

We had "give thanks with a grateful heart the other week". Can't help wanting to sing though! Perhaps we could dress the choir in those white costumes, next time we sing it! :o

I've been poorly, in case you've wondered where I've been. Knee op went fine, but almost straight away I came down with a viral bug, which has now gone to my sinuses :(

I'm just checking in to say that probably won't be around much for the next couple of weeks as FIL arrives today and then on Friday a team of 13 are coming to help us work on a project so I'll be hosting, translating and generally making sure everyone is ok.

I'll pop in occasionally - a week is a long time on this thread

I've have just been looking at YouTube for insiration for music to make videos of (or videos to use) for our Good Friday thing. Just found \link{\this one} it contains images from Gibson's Passion of the Christ so a bit "gory" if you've got small children around, but very powerful I think.

On the subject of childrens songs does anyone know of a good song book (piano music) with childrens songs (pre-school ish age) - my childrens favourites are "Jesus love is very wonderful", "Our God is a great Big God", "Wide,wide as the ocean" and similar and I'd love to be able to play some of them on the piano. Like Nickel I see song as prayer and though I'm not a great pianist my attempts to play some of the music I have (mainly Stuart Townend songs) are a form of worship for me so it would be good to get the children to join in.

i don't think i've ever seen one specifically with religious songs in.

have you looked at a modern hymnbook with a chidlren's section in?
a lot of those have simple harmonies that are easy to play.

the old Junior praise has wide wide and Jesus love I think. I think you may struggle with one that's got those and our god is a great big god.

There is a great one - quite old - I thought it was called Children's Praise (but obviusly not as I can't find it). We've got it at church and it's got lots in (but not Our God).
