Do not feel
totally
personally
irrevocably
responsible for everything.
That's my job.
Love, God

I like that a lot Grin

Well, here's the round-up:

MadHairDay - Prayers needed for friend's DD who is anorexic and is still not eating. She is being tube fed, but she keeps pulling the tube out. Sad Prayers for the girl from MHD's children's school who was recently run over outside the school. She is through the worst, but has broken legs and pelvis - a swift healing process please, Lord. Prayers for a friend of MHD's whose DH has recently left her and for her DH Gran who recently had a Stroke. Lots of prayers for MHD's lovely DD who is suffering horribly from Psoriasis and has Dyspraxia and is experiencing bullying at school Sad Prayers for MHD struggles health-wise too!!

MrsC - Prayers for her sis who has just started a new job after being a SAHM for 5 yrs - how is she settling in, MrsC? Prayers also for a friend's mum who had a cancer DX, but died very suddenly and unexpectedly recently; and for the little family from MrsC's Toddler Group who recently lost their DH / daddy.

Caz - Finding the New Year so hard. DH should get some test results back soon - has he had them Caz? Caz's health has not been the best recently either and she has had a DX of Tonsillitis again. Boost her up, Lord. Prayers also for the family and friends of the 8 year old from Caz' class that died recently.

Amber- Prayers for the friends and family of E who died recently. Amber very bravely got through her recent op; but is now facing 6 months of Chemo followed by an Op for a DX of breast cancer. The cancer has been caught quite early and is treatable, but it is a fast-moving sort of Cancer and Amber is awaiting further tests to make sure the cancer hasn't spread. Hold Amber so so close at this time, Lord - and her family too as they come to terms with having to support their "rock". xx

CaptainCaveman - Prayers required for her DH in his hunt for a new job .....

JentlyDoesIt - Is coping with DP in prison, but struggling too - needing lots of prayers for resilience and strength, especially for her two little ones. Place lots of amazing, supportive people around her, Lord. xx

barleywood - Needs prayers in her hunt for a new church to go to; and to contribute to as well ....

TeaandCakePlease - Is struggling with juggling ..... she feels in despair with her OU degree and with the task of life in general. xx

NotQuiteGrownUp - Popped by to ask for prayers as she is struggling with juggling too!! xx

Mary - Has been quite down of late and needs lots of encouragement and prayer Smile Please pray for Mary's DD's friend who is currently not eating and being tube fed; for S who trained with Mary who is having tests following the discovery of a lump on her spine; and for Mary's DF who is facing brain surgery after a DX of Chiari Malformation - she has a DH and a young DS.

livvylouis - Popped by to ask for prayers for her FIL who had been admitted to hospital with a racing heart.

NotSoFarNow - Needs lots of prayers for relationships - particularly with one of her DDs. Two of her DDs have recently dropped out of college and NSFN is struggling to know how best to support them and get alongside them.

Hermya - Has been having problems with anxiety of late. Is fretful and worried.

BoxofDelights - Has been spending a lot of time recently sorting out her financial position. Her anxiety is still bad and life is still tough.

blackeyedsusan - Is in the process of a possible separation from her violent husband. She has 2 children of 2 and 4 yrs; and is struggling.

practicallyimperfect - Prayers for the family and friends of Ben, a 17 yr old from the school she works at who was found dead in a river a few days ago. It was an accidental death and he looks to have slipped and fallen in on his way home from a gig late at night. Sad

shineoncrazydiamond - Asked for prayers for a DF's DS, little Archie who sadly died after complications surrounding a traumatic delivery. Archie was a much wanted baby and it is a terrible, tragic loss for the couple Sad

gingercurl - Asked for prayers for her relationship with her DS who is rather a "mummy's boy" - he won't let her DH do anything for him at all and it is taking it's toll.

BlessedAssurance - Her close friend was stabbed to death in S.Africa while defending another friend Sad Prayers for all those who knew and love him. xx

shieldbug - Popped by to ask for prayers for a distant relation of hers (13 yr old boy) who was having a big operation today. The operation could possibly leave him with difficulties being able to eat or, at worst, brain damage. So hoping the op went as well as possible ....

CaptainDippy - It would be great if you could all pray for a dear friend of mine who has terminal breast cancer. Due to being a "guinea pig" for some pioneering drugs, she has been with us far longer than we ever could've hoped or expected (10 yrs!!!!); but the drugs are no longer working and she knows it is nearly time to say "goodbye". She has zoomed off to go and see family in Australia and will be embarking on a tour around the UK once she is back. She 's an incredible woman and I just pray she can do everything she wants to do before she gets too poorly and that the end will be so beautiful for her, because she deserves it.

GET PRAYING!!!!

Smile

prayers for all as i read through

please pray for me, DH has gone to Dubai with his mother and brother, i was supposed to go but mother in law who had asked us to go with her and booked all the tickets and paid for them changed her mind about me going so i had to cancel, very sad for DH and i because we have a DD who is 10months and he didn't want to be away from us for so long, i need to not hate my mother in law. However there is no way i can manage that without prayer.

CazandBelle · 28/02/2011 22:12

it is so very early, so I cannot get too excited yet, but we're very happy. And I'm thanking God loudly. I believe strongly that this is God led after the pastor's wifes timing with her prayers. Don't think its sunk in yet and definitely doesn't feel real. Have felt a whole range of emotions today; happy, terrified, guilty, overwhelmed amongst loads of others. Hospital already booked me in for an early scan on 22nd March. I cannot think beyond then. Please pray that little baby stays safe and we have good news at this scan. Ironically 22nd march is the day we found out Belle was a girl last year. Spooky its the same day to see this one this year.

Prayers for all who are feeling under the weather.

Prayers for DH and your relationship with Mil blessed

congrats to DD pa

PositiveAttitude · 28/02/2011 22:18

Many prayers coming your way caz Smile.

shieldbug · 28/02/2011 23:24

Sorry that I've been AWOL so much recently. I'm finding it very hard to find time to myself at the mo (funny that, with a 4 month old ds!).

I haven't been able to read through all of the thread, but caz what wonderful news. I pray all goes well. It really does sound like God's timing (I flicked back to see your post about the pastor's wife). Lots of prayer for you, dh and your lo.

Just to say that as far as I know the op on my (very) distant cousin went well and as a bonus, the surgeons were able to correct another problem at the same time. Thanks so much for your prayers.

blackeyedsusan · 01/03/2011 07:00

urgghh didn't get much sleep last night. ds didn't sleep til nearly 12 so kept me awake, and I have been waking up in the night a lot recently. Got to sort out kitchen to get acess to the plumbing and for delivery of new washing machine but I need to sleep while ds sleeps.

blackeyedsusan · 01/03/2011 07:23

Oh and there was a wet bed this morning...and no washing machine til friday at least.

MaryBS · 01/03/2011 08:50

:( BES, I know what that is like...

At church things aren't going well, but Praise God, DD got into the faith secondary school! :o

DutchOma · 01/03/2011 09:03

Caz, praying for peace of mind and concentration on the Lord of life Who has plans of blessing for you.

amberlight · 01/03/2011 09:15

Hurrah re DD, Mary! Many prayers for everyone...

Picking up the last of the bits and pieces I'll need before tomorrow. Hopefully will be able to give an update to say how it's gone/whether I've been chucked off the chemo ward for being a disruptive influence and getting all the staff in fits of giggles...

PositiveAttitude · 01/03/2011 12:50

Good news for DD Mary. Smile

madhairday · 01/03/2011 14:10

What did David Daffodil do to become a saint?

DutchOma · 01/03/2011 14:50

Should have previewed shouldn't I?

What did David St Davids do to become a saint?

MaryBS · 01/03/2011 15:36

Have had a morning of God proving he is a great BIG God. Mind a bit fried, but finally getting some support. In fact so much support is being chucked at me I'm not sure where to look!

The best-known miracle associated with Saint David is said to have taken place when he was preaching in the middle of a large crowd at the Synod of Llanddewi Brefi (isn't that the place in little britain???). When those at the back complained that they could not see or hear him, the ground on which he stood is reputed to have risen up to form a small hill so that everyone had a good view. A white dove was seen settling on his shoulder?a sign of God's grace and blessing

madhairday · 01/03/2011 17:01

Mary :) That's great!!

Prayers for everyone, I've just been reading through the thread and so much as been happening.

MHD I'm so pleased your nephew arrived safely, Praise God for his care and love.

Praise God for his care and love for all of us.

Things here have been a bit up and down with DP. I'm not sure how I'm feeling at the moment, but I have a great sadness about me.

Staying close to God in the safety of his arms, I don't feel safe anywhere else at the moment.

Love and prayers to you all.

Poppy xx

blackeyedsusan · 01/03/2011 23:09

It's late, taking break from trying to clear out the kitchen for the plumber to come and disconnect the washing machine. (even a slight amount of water on the floor runs straight through to the flat below) ds gave himself a nap whilst i was bathing dd after school and consequently is still bouncing around and it will be another late one. could do with prayers for sleep.

amberlight · 02/03/2011 07:32

How did you do with the sleeping, BES?
Praying for everyone.
If people fancy saying a short prayer today for a lack of nausea after the chemo (midday-ish), that would be appreciated Smile St Davids

blackeyedsusan · 02/03/2011 12:17

Another nasty nightmare at 4am( why always 4am?) and ds did not sleep til 12am. waiting for the plumber so can't sleep this afterrnoon. tomorrow waiting for the washing machine. fri meeting h for lunch. it is next monday before I can catch up on sleep.... If the washing machine comes early I will take dd to school late and try and sleep.

praying for you amber. good luck!

CaptainDippy · 02/03/2011 12:48

St Davids Brew Wine for all my favourite prayer thread ladies Smile

Reading through and Praying as I go....

Special prayers for amber as she commences her Chemo today - hope everything goes so well for you today - know that you are in all of our thoughts and prayers xx

Wonderful news about your nephew MHD Grin

Great that your sister's job is going well MrsC - good to see you Smile, thank you for the update. How are you feeling today? xx

Oooh (quiet squeaking) Caz, how exciting, but how frightening too. I pray that God will hold you as this time as a torrent of emotions must be whirling about you and DH at this time. xx

Madness in DippyLand, as always; but would like to ask for prayer for 2 situations....

Firstly my lovely foster mum has had a DX of Atrial Fibrillation, which, for a very amazing, very busy lady, is a massive blow. She is struggling to know what to do as she has been told she needs to slow right down. She has give herself an electric shock to put her heart back into rhythm when it strays and it really is all a bit much for her to cope with right now. Your prayers are so appreciated, thank you Smile

Also, prayers needed to for the sister of a very dear DF who was involved in a horrible road accident on Sat night. She is currently in a chemically induced coma to see how well her body can heal itself. As it stands, she has bleeding in the brain and a clot in her spine Sad She is only 31 and has a young family.

Thank you all so much for praying xx

thejaffacakesareonme · 02/03/2011 13:07

Caz - what wonderful news. I was wondering how you were getting on after your earlier posts. Prayers for you and the little bean at this time. Prayers also for your DH as I expect he'll have a whole load of emotions to deal with too.

CD - prayers for your foster mum and the sister of your DF.

BES - hope you get some sleep soon. When I was ill and just had one DS I put him in his cot with loads of toys while I went to bed for an hour on one occasion. He was quite happy and couldn't escape from the cot. Perhaps this might be an option if you don't have anyone to help with childcare.

Amber - praying that everything went well this morning and that you are now feeling absolutely fine as per your post above.

Prayers for everyone else that's finding life a bit tough at the moment.

blackeyedsusan · 02/03/2011 14:19

Jaffacake, he is an escaper. i used to do this for dd, but it doesnt work for ds. I usually sleep whilst dd is at school and he is sleeping, but the next available day is Monday.

Nail biting as plumber hasn't come yet and have to go to school soon. EEK!

blackeyedsusan · 02/03/2011 14:47

Bloody h just rang, tried to keep me talking when I saaid i had to ring the plumber and now he hsn't disconnected his phone so i can't ring anyone. And he is wasting OUR money.
