Do not feel
totally
personally
irrevocably
responsible for everything.
That's my job.
Love, God

I like that a lot Grin

Well, here's the round-up:

MadHairDay - Prayers needed for friend's DD who is anorexic and is still not eating. She is being tube fed, but she keeps pulling the tube out. Sad Prayers for the girl from MHD's children's school who was recently run over outside the school. She is through the worst, but has broken legs and pelvis - a swift healing process please, Lord. Prayers for a friend of MHD's whose DH has recently left her and for her DH Gran who recently had a Stroke. Lots of prayers for MHD's lovely DD who is suffering horribly from Psoriasis and has Dyspraxia and is experiencing bullying at school Sad Prayers for MHD struggles health-wise too!!

MrsC - Prayers for her sis who has just started a new job after being a SAHM for 5 yrs - how is she settling in, MrsC? Prayers also for a friend's mum who had a cancer DX, but died very suddenly and unexpectedly recently; and for the little family from MrsC's Toddler Group who recently lost their DH / daddy.

Caz - Finding the New Year so hard. DH should get some test results back soon - has he had them Caz? Caz's health has not been the best recently either and she has had a DX of Tonsillitis again. Boost her up, Lord. Prayers also for the family and friends of the 8 year old from Caz' class that died recently.

Amber- Prayers for the friends and family of E who died recently. Amber very bravely got through her recent op; but is now facing 6 months of Chemo followed by an Op for a DX of breast cancer. The cancer has been caught quite early and is treatable, but it is a fast-moving sort of Cancer and Amber is awaiting further tests to make sure the cancer hasn't spread. Hold Amber so so close at this time, Lord - and her family too as they come to terms with having to support their "rock". xx

CaptainCaveman - Prayers required for her DH in his hunt for a new job .....

JentlyDoesIt - Is coping with DP in prison, but struggling too - needing lots of prayers for resilience and strength, especially for her two little ones. Place lots of amazing, supportive people around her, Lord. xx

barleywood - Needs prayers in her hunt for a new church to go to; and to contribute to as well ....

TeaandCakePlease - Is struggling with juggling ..... she feels in despair with her OU degree and with the task of life in general. xx

NotQuiteGrownUp - Popped by to ask for prayers as she is struggling with juggling too!! xx

Mary - Has been quite down of late and needs lots of encouragement and prayer Smile Please pray for Mary's DD's friend who is currently not eating and being tube fed; for S who trained with Mary who is having tests following the discovery of a lump on her spine; and for Mary's DF who is facing brain surgery after a DX of Chiari Malformation - she has a DH and a young DS.

livvylouis - Popped by to ask for prayers for her FIL who had been admitted to hospital with a racing heart.

NotSoFarNow - Needs lots of prayers for relationships - particularly with one of her DDs. Two of her DDs have recently dropped out of college and NSFN is struggling to know how best to support them and get alongside them.

Hermya - Has been having problems with anxiety of late. Is fretful and worried.

BoxofDelights - Has been spending a lot of time recently sorting out her financial position. Her anxiety is still bad and life is still tough.

blackeyedsusan - Is in the process of a possible separation from her violent husband. She has 2 children of 2 and 4 yrs; and is struggling.

practicallyimperfect - Prayers for the family and friends of Ben, a 17 yr old from the school she works at who was found dead in a river a few days ago. It was an accidental death and he looks to have slipped and fallen in on his way home from a gig late at night. Sad

shineoncrazydiamond - Asked for prayers for a DF's DS, little Archie who sadly died after complications surrounding a traumatic delivery. Archie was a much wanted baby and it is a terrible, tragic loss for the couple Sad

gingercurl - Asked for prayers for her relationship with her DS who is rather a "mummy's boy" - he won't let her DH do anything for him at all and it is taking it's toll.

BlessedAssurance - Her close friend was stabbed to death in S.Africa while defending another friend Sad Prayers for all those who knew and love him. xx

shieldbug - Popped by to ask for prayers for a distant relation of hers (13 yr old boy) who was having a big operation today. The operation could possibly leave him with difficulties being able to eat or, at worst, brain damage. So hoping the op went as well as possible ....

CaptainDippy - It would be great if you could all pray for a dear friend of mine who has terminal breast cancer. Due to being a "guinea pig" for some pioneering drugs, she has been with us far longer than we ever could've hoped or expected (10 yrs!!!!); but the drugs are no longer working and she knows it is nearly time to say "goodbye". She has zoomed off to go and see family in Australia and will be embarking on a tour around the UK once she is back. She 's an incredible woman and I just pray she can do everything she wants to do before she gets too poorly and that the end will be so beautiful for her, because she deserves it.

GET PRAYING!!!!

Smile

Damn dmn damn daamn damn... just gone running into the kitchen because the washing machine is making dreadful broken noise.

was just about to post that i have been tidying and sorting today and was feeling terrible because I have come cross a list of our first dates and engagement cards.

Ok so who knows stuff about washing machines? It made very loud vibrating noise. turned it off at the wall now. Going to empty it and try to restart on a different programme soon. Just eating tea.

WisteriaWoman · 24/02/2011 21:17

MaryBS - sorry you're feeling like no one is listening to you - but isn't that how Jesus felt that no one was listening to him, so at least you're not alone ? Just remember life is dark and light, but I'm sorry you've having to go through a big patch of dark.

BES- re: washing machine - maybe the belt has come off. On the otherhand just leave it over night and see what happens tomorrow...
Alternatively I've just googled this for you - you may want to pray to patron saint of housework
www.catholicherald.com/opinions/detail.html?sub_id=1955

A prayer to St Zita may prove to be cheaper than a new washing machine? Look anything is worth a go!

Teaandcakeplease · 24/02/2011 21:18

It maybe the items were too heavy and caused it to spin unequally and the drum to bang. Either that or a baring going. I'm sure you can get a man in to fix if it is a baring for very little. Try not to worry but trust in God. He's with us in the big and small things. Especially us single mums. A bruised reed he will not break. God is faithful.

blackeyedsusan · 24/02/2011 21:36

H gone a month and i have had dd off school sick for a week, car trouble, mot/ car tax to organise, children with diaarrhoea and now the washing machine. actually children with diarrhoea and washing machine are probably linked as it has been doing rather a lot recently. Going to ring the friendly plumber tomorrow to see if he thinks it is worth getting someone out. he used to be a washing machine engineer.

re st Zita... going straight to the man at the top

Teaandcakeplease · 25/02/2011 09:49

Prayers that my son begins to sleep well again would be great. I'm exhausted. I've begun a thread in sleep to get some more ideas/ suggestions too.

amberlight · 25/02/2011 16:07

Prayers continuing for everyone

PositiveAttitude · 25/02/2011 20:40

Hi all you lovely ladies. Sorry for being awol for a while.

Not sure if any of you would be interested, but if any of you would like the use of our house (on the Isle of Wight) between 26th July and 4th August for holiday accommodation, (free) please PM me. Not wanting to "advertise" it widely, but I just thought i would ask you lovely lot. Grin

blackeyedsusan · 26/02/2011 10:50

H agreed to buying a washing machine, so I have. been scraping aand scrubbing this morning, now off to dm to do washing at her house as machine is not delivered til thurs

madhairday · 26/02/2011 13:35

Wow PA sounds lovely but that's the week we're at New wine, otherwise would definitely be interested, really want to go to IOW at some point. Hope you find someone :)

BES glad you're getting a washing machine :)

PositiveAttitude · 26/02/2011 20:43

That's fine MHD. You would be welcome to come and stay any time you like. Smile we are not worried about getting anyone in, but if its a free holiday for someone we would love to be able to bless someone with it.
For many years we could not afford a holiday and a friend did this for us when they were away, allowing us to use their home and we were so bowled over by it, we vowed then that if we were ever able to go away on holiday we would like to be able to give our home for someone else to use for a holiday. So for the price of our holiday, another family can have a holiday too! Grin
If its meant to be, then God will show us who can use it.

TotallyUnheardOf · 26/02/2011 23:33

Prayers for all.

Susan - glad you got a new washing machine organised.

PA - what a lovely person you are. Smile

I am feeling panicky today as I have a phobia about being sick (myself or others near me) and dd2 has complained of feeling queasy on and off today. She seems fine and I think is just tired and a bit off-colour, but I am like a coiled spring, full of tension about it. It feels selfish and wrong to pray 'Please don't let my dd be sick' when I am really asking this because of my own pathetic inability to deal with it (though obviously it goes without saying that I don't want dd to be ill either). I am trying to pray instead for calm and strength to deal with things that I am afraid of. I feel such a numpty for getting so het up about something that no-one likes, but everyone has to deal with at some point. Blush

PositiveAttitude · 27/02/2011 07:13

Well, thank you TUO. Smile

My sister has a sick phobia aswell. When we were young and shared a bedroom she would run out of the house in the middle of the night and go and sit by our nan's grave whatever the weather if I was sick at night. (Cemetery just up a lane near our home) She has always "blamed" me for her phobia because I was a very sicky person. If we were going on holiday I would be sick with excitement for a week beforehand, so much that my parents would not tell me until the morning we were going!! Shock As for travel sickness!! Well, I am still terrible! So maybe not such a lovely person afterall! Grin

Anyway, I hope that DD has not been sick and you can relax more today.

I have not had time to read through the thread, I seem to have missed a lot, so I am off to read and have a prayer time. Be assured of my prayers as I read.

Have a good Sunday. Smile

TotallyUnheardOf · 27/02/2011 11:14

Dd has not been sick (hallelujah!) though (TMI alert) she has had diarrhoea. Poor thing.

Felt very touched by today's gospel about not worrying about things that we cannot control and trusting in God. Feel much more peaceful now.

Poor you PA and your poor DSis too.

Posting from phone in haste as have people coming for lunch, but continuing to pray.

blackeyedsusan · 27/02/2011 14:35

tuo how is dd? and no it is not selfish. We all have our own tolerances.

tacp are you getting any more sleep. being ill can upset the routine and it takes a while for them to recover.

I overslept and didn't make it to church again. Got to ring them up aand tell them that h and I are not going on the weekend together. hmmm awkward.

mary how are you?

MaryBS · 27/02/2011 16:06

Not brilliant BES. :(

amberlight · 27/02/2011 16:45

Keeping prayers going. Prayers of praise for a lovely day with friends and family yesterday, but prayers for patience today - a charity I was helping have slightly bungled things and left me with a tricky situation to sort out. My diplomatic skills are going to have to be good (!)

madhairday · 27/02/2011 17:11

Keeping praying, Mary....sending lots of love also. x and Brew

blackeyedsusan · 27/02/2011 17:59

sorry to hear that Mary

M44 · 27/02/2011 19:30

Popping in then going to bed.....please pray 3rd migraine in a week-not happy! Probably stress related with all the changes happening on a daily basis-dh has new job-very long hours, influential high powered job. Church OK but not brilliant-just wish people would think of others really. Nuff said. Goodnight and will pray in the fog that is where my brain should be.x

ps me and God having a wonderful dance.....wish it would spill more into the real world!!! Hope you all understand what I mean!!

blackeyedsusan · 27/02/2011 20:10

M44 praying for your migraine. have you got an appointment with the school nurse?

snuppeline how are you?

hermya any news of your meeting?

oasis did you get to the solicitor?

thejaffacakesareonme · 27/02/2011 20:25

Grr. I'd just typed a post and then the lap top decided to delete it. I hate it when it does that.

Prayers for everyone. There's so much happening on here!

MHD - how is your friend's daughter? I hope she is getting on well at the new place you mentioned.

Mary - you have had so much on your plate in recent months. I pray you'll know some peace.

BES - you've also had so much to deal with recently. I pray you'll also know some peace.

Actually, it seems most of us are stressed over something or other and could do with some peace!

TACP - did anyone come up with any ideas that would suit you on the other post? I read it yesterday but didn't have anything to add. I pray the sleep problems will work themselves out soon.

TUO - great to hear DD is feeling better. I'm not great with sick either.

Amber - I hope everything with the charity gets sorted out OK.

I've been feeling pretty rubbish too - I think I've picked up a bug from the DSs. I hope it clears up quickly as work is going to be pretty intense over the next few days.

Teaandcakeplease · 27/02/2011 21:34

Ummm 5.20am start today with DS so off to bed. BES it's still unchanged really with DS. I did update the thread with my plan.

madhairday · 28/02/2011 12:59

Answer to prayer girls - nephew was born safely yesterday. Couple of cord issues during the birth, but happily all well. Praise God. 8lb 10oz! Can't wait to meet him. wish they didn't live so far away.

DutchOma · 28/02/2011 13:14

Thank you Lord for that safe delivery. Hope you get to see him soon MHD

PositiveAttitude · 28/02/2011 16:23

Wonderful news Auntie MHD. Smile
