Here's the summary from the last thread:

Namechanger - Popped by to let us know that her DF's DS who collapsed with heart problems is making progress. He is being kept sedated until he is strong enough to have external pacemaker removed in order that he can have an MRI to ascertain more definitely what is wrong. He will almost definitely have to have an internal pacemaker / defib inserted before leaving the hospital - Any more on this!!?

DutchOma - Bob is now convalescing in a care home of sorts, until he is ready and strong enough to go home. He is making good progress and is eating, drinking and walking a little using a stick. DO is struggling in intervals with the stress of the situation and needs lots of TLC and prayer Smile

wisteriawoman - A suitable care home has been found for her father who is suffering from Dementia - praying he settles in well there Smile

weegiemum Popped by with requests! Her DD2 faces a possible hip operation in the near future; while her DS has to go to a specialist hospital to have an extra row of teeth removed. Her DD1 is being assessed for dyslexia and weegiemum's mental health has not been too good of late. She has recently been DX with a BPD. Also prayers for her DH who is looking into training for Ministry on a P/T basis ... Lots going on ....

MaryBS - Has had a lot on her plate and struggling with feelings of negativity and panic. Her DS and DD have been having bullying issues at school; and DS' behaviour is particularly reflecting this. Her BIL's brain tumour is growing again and his wife has suspected heart problems. Prayers that God would keep this precious family safe. xx

Prayers for them as they faces an uncertain amount of time together. This has been a particularly hard year for NL. Please Blessed this family as the look to spend a precious and special Christmastime together ....

itshappenedagain - Asked for prayers for her brother's recovery as he was caught in a bomb blast (he is in the Forces) and has suffered broken bones and number of injuries. How is he doing??

CaptainCaveman's DH is currently facing a horrid situation at work. Here is her original post pertaining to it:

"I come asking for prayers for dh who was suspended from work last week for allegedly allowing one of the cleaning team managers to allow her husband onto site 18 months ago to help with a cleaning operation. The man who suspended him was very cruel and verging on bullying, he didn't allow dh any support in the meeting, nor did he advise him he needed his union there. That aside, dh is extremely stressed and worried that he may lose his job. He has done nothing wrong, but the company he works for think nothing of 'compromising' people out of the business if they take a dislike to them! Please pray for dh's peace of mind, for the investigation to progress honestly and truthfully and swiftly, and for a quick resolution."

I sincerely hope his Hearing went well today and he is acquitted and reinstated ASAP. Smile xxxxxxx Let us know CC. xxxxx

PA can I offer a few suggestions...

  1. Re: Christmas - order all presents from Amazon and order all food online.
  2. I really hope you see a GP soon but hold onto that appointment for Xmas Eve - just so you can see your friendly GP in case you have further questions.
  3. It's worth keeping a little diary post op -just to see what progress you are making week by week. I did this and it really helped me post op. The progress may be small but a diary makes you realise you are going forward. And don't be surprised if you have bad days, you've been through a lot.

Prayers for all.

WisteriaWoman · 14/12/2010 21:14

Prayers for you gingercurl.

Thank you WW, your suggestions are very good. I have been doing bits on Amazon, but will do more. I have an appointment this morning to see a Dr. I will see how it goes, and will see my GP next week if I am not happy.

Really pleased that DS shone yesterday, MrsC. Ihad DCs in the nativity for 7 consecutive years in pre-school and cried every time! Xmas Blush On my final year the leader came out with a box of tissues for me!! Xmas Blush Xmas Blush But of course, I only cried because my DCs were just the very best ... angel Grable(???!!! still known as that now), star, angel, mary, shepherd, donkey and Joseph. Xmas Grin

madangelhaironchristmasday · 15/12/2010 10:42

TACP a few of us are on fb. will PM you my details. Xmas Smile

MrsC that's great about ds, was thinking of him, bless him.

DO that's great news.

gingercurl are you OK? Praying now.

Listening to very old cheesy Graham Kendrick Christmas music and loving it :D Would appreciate prayers today as really struggling - have endometriosis and some months it gets hideous, it is awful today and when I got up with the kids I started to faint as gushing so much (sorry tmi) and dh took over. That combined with rubbish chest isn't making me very happy today.

CaptainDippy · 15/12/2010 12:23

You poor thing. xx

Keep remembering Jently in your prayers - the trial should be finished by the end of today - verdict by end of the week .....

Another little child-related worry - DS1 has his nursery Christmas party tomorrow but instead of looking forward to it, he's worried and says he doesn't want to go because it won't be the same as normal. :( Praying that he will enjoy it after all!

gingercurl · 15/12/2010 19:10

Thanks for support. I had two very important meetings today, little sleep the last few nights and was shaking for fear this morning. ONe of the meeting was attended by a person who tends to rip people to shreds. It went well though. The person proceded in normal style but didn't really do any damage Smile.

TotallyUnheardOf · 15/12/2010 19:34

Mad... praying you feel better soon.

PA... praying for a helpful trip to the doctor.

gingercurl... glad today's meeting went OK (why do people feel they have to be like that?)

Blue... praying ds1 will enjoy it once he gets there.

Have started saying my goodbyes here. Sad

madangelhaironchristmasday · 15/12/2010 19:49

TUO - when are you moving? Praying for strength and comfort for you.

BES - hope ds has a ball tomorrow.

PA, how are you?

Mary, how are you feeling?

Praying for Jently.

Thanks for prayers today. Got through the day. Feel ropey but ok, now for a chill out evening watching the Apprentice :)

JentlyDoesIt · 15/12/2010 20:17

Hi all, thought I would show my face after Dippy kindly posted for me... Thank you all so much for your prayers and thoughts. The trial is indeed over, with the judge completing his summing up tomorrow, then the jury must make their decision. This could take 5 minutes or 5 days, we don't know. I cannot believe our future is in the hands of 12 people... So please keep praying for us, it really is very much appreciated.

Sorry to not post longer but lots going on here and I am a little wobbly at the moment.
J xx

PositiveAttitude · 15/12/2010 20:19

Thanks for the prayers. Gp was ok...ish!! I have been sent for blood tests and back to see my own GP after Christmas. I don't think she really understood what I was trying to tell her, but at least I may get some answers from the blood results. I got the feeling she thought I was being a bit over worried about the operation and saying that the gland that was removed would not cause these problems. I KNOW THAT!! I was a nurse and I have done loads of internet research reading about my condition and I know its not that!! When I see my own GP though, I know he will understand me when I say that the person I am now is just not me - because he knows what I am normally like.

Prayers for Jently.

TotallyUnheardOf · 15/12/2010 21:09

Thanks mad... leaving here on Monday... slowly winding things up now :(

PA - praying you will get more understanding from your own GP.

Jently - praying for a postive (and not too drawn-out) outcome.

Would appreciate prayers for generosity of spirit to get over a work-related disappointment (trying not to be too specific here). Have just been to a special place here to ask for the same thing and already feel as if I've shed a burden of bitterness, but a few extra prayers won't hurt... Thanks. Smile

MrsRichards · 15/12/2010 21:27

Hello again. I am an old friend to MN. Some of you I 'know', other names are new to me. I can only manage to be a sporadic poster, but will make sure I check this thread whenever I can get on.

Sending love and prayers to friends old and new from MrsRichards x

amberlight · 16/12/2010 07:37

Keeping prayers going...

gingercurl · 16/12/2010 10:30

BES praying your son will have a fab time.
Mary how are you today? Be gentle with yourself. Praying
Praying TUO for stress free good byes and packing, etc. I know it is disappointing when things don't go your way, but my experience is that God does open windows when he closes doors and so far the window has always turned out to be a better option, even if it doesn't appear like it at first. I'm sure God has something in mind for youXmas Smile. Praying for patience, perseverance and generousity of spirit for you.
Hi, MrsRichards it's nice you've popped by again.
PA Cannot offer advice. Just prayers that you get answers and that you recover fully.
DO great news about Bob!
Praying for everyone on here who is/has loved ones/df that battle with various forms disease. Give their doctors wisdom and bring them healing and hope, Lord.
Does anyone know what has happened with CaptainCaveman's DH' situation?
Praying Jently.
Someone forwarded this link to me and I find it very upsetting. There are too many children who fare even worse off than normal over the Christmas/New Year period. Wrap your loving arms around them, Lord.

DingDongMaryBSonHigh · 16/12/2010 11:58

Hi MrsRichards, I remember you :)

Thanks for everyone asking how I am. Am a lot better thanks, things at the moment are pretty calm, although I am a bit worried about how he'll be on Sunday!

jaffacakeaddict · 16/12/2010 18:20

Jently - I pray that truth will prevail and that you'll know God's presence at this time.

CC - been thinking of you and your DH. Praying everything has gone well.

I have to deal with a bit of a bully tomorrow. Don't want to post too many details incase anyone recognises me! Would welcome prayers though as I'm not always good at dealing with bullies.

MaryB - praying that Sunday goes well. Is it a nativity service? Maybe there'll be more leeway? I'll probably have DS2 in church with me for the whole service on Sunday as the Sunday School will be in church and doing bits and pieces during the service. I'm planning on taking lots of raisins and chocolate buttons for when the raisins stop working!

BlueEyesAllAglow · 16/12/2010 18:27

DS1 seems to have enjoyed the party. He's very grumpy this evening though. End-of-term-itis I think. Would welcome any spare prayers for calmness in relating to him without aggravating things!

Praying for all.

OmaknitsbooteesforBabyJesus · 16/12/2010 18:53

Pray for Jentlydoesit tonight. Her DP has been found guilty and sentenced to six years inprisonment. She has asked not to be rung tonight, obviously they are all devastated.

PositiveAttitude · 16/12/2010 19:08

I don't know any details about Jently's situation, but will prayer for the whole family. Do they have children?

DingDongMaryBSonHigh · 16/12/2010 19:31

Oh Jently... praying for you sweetheart :(

Jaffacakeaddict - its a normal service, so there SHOULD Be a Sunday school.

CaptainDippy · 16/12/2010 20:13

I have an update from lovely Jently (she has two children, a boy who is 4 & a girl who is 2, they are adorable).

Sadly Jently's DP was found guilty and has been taken to commence a 6 year sentence. Jently is in pieces, as you can well imagine, but she has her mum with her, which is good Smile Please please keep Jently, her children & her DP in your prayers. This is obviously devastating for them all.
