Here's the summary from the last thread:

Namechanger - Popped by to let us know that her DF's DS who collapsed with heart problems is making progress. He is being kept sedated until he is strong enough to have external pacemaker removed in order that he can have an MRI to ascertain more definitely what is wrong. He will almost definitely have to have an internal pacemaker / defib inserted before leaving the hospital - Any more on this!!?

DutchOma - Bob is now convalescing in a care home of sorts, until he is ready and strong enough to go home. He is making good progress and is eating, drinking and walking a little using a stick. DO is struggling in intervals with the stress of the situation and needs lots of TLC and prayer Smile

wisteriawoman - A suitable care home has been found for her father who is suffering from Dementia - praying he settles in well there Smile

weegiemum Popped by with requests! Her DD2 faces a possible hip operation in the near future; while her DS has to go to a specialist hospital to have an extra row of teeth removed. Her DD1 is being assessed for dyslexia and weegiemum's mental health has not been too good of late. She has recently been DX with a BPD. Also prayers for her DH who is looking into training for Ministry on a P/T basis ... Lots going on ....

MaryBS - Has had a lot on her plate and struggling with feelings of negativity and panic. Her DS and DD have been having bullying issues at school; and DS' behaviour is particularly reflecting this. Her BIL's brain tumour is growing again and his wife has suspected heart problems. Prayers that God would keep this precious family safe. xx

itshappenedagain - Asked for prayers for her brother's recovery as he was caught in a bomb blast (he is in the Forces) and has suffered broken bones and number of injuries. How is he doing??

CaptainCaveman's DH is currently facing a horrid situation at work. Here is her original post pertaining to it:

"I come asking for prayers for dh who was suspended from work last week for allegedly allowing one of the cleaning team managers to allow her husband onto site 18 months ago to help with a cleaning operation. The man who suspended him was very cruel and verging on bullying, he didn't allow dh any support in the meeting, nor did he advise him he needed his union there. That aside, dh is extremely stressed and worried that he may lose his job. He has done nothing wrong, but the company he works for think nothing of 'compromising' people out of the business if they take a dislike to them! Please pray for dh's peace of mind, for the investigation to progress honestly and truthfully and swiftly, and for a quick resolution."

I sincerely hope his Hearing went well today and he is acquitted and reinstated ASAP. Smile xxxxxxx Let us know CC. xxxxx

HermyaTheRedNosedReindeer · 01/12/2010 19:12

DO Xmas Sad, praying for you.

Well we have cracked the BF, only now DS seems to have developed colic. He just cries all the time. It is driving me bonkers and am praying for relief, paitence or the ability to cope. I would appreciate it if you could send one heavenwards for me.

Praying for you all.

Teaandchristmascakeplease · 01/12/2010 19:43

Hermya I feel your pain as my DS was horrendously colicky. I've pm you my tips that worked for my chap.

Dippy - Angela has 3 children. One is married and is about 21, the other two are still in school but their ages escape me.

CaptainCaveman · 01/12/2010 19:52

tacp praying too for your friend

DutchOma · 01/12/2010 20:30

Thank you everyone. I still feel very woozy, did as I said I would and just sat in my hole, listening to music and holding my prayer stone, feeling all your prayers come towards me. Had a Facebook chat with M44 and Mary, that helped too.

Heated some soup and made an ommelette (sp?)and now I am nearly ready for the duvet and two hotties again.
I even managed to get some milk.

ChildofIsis · 01/12/2010 20:41

I know this is off the thread but our dd had colic for weeks, we found a homeopathic liquid called colycynthis ( given after a feed) worked wonders. Our wonderful MW suggested it. We rediscovered the joy of sleep. She's 4 now and sleeps like a baby!

do praying..

Teaandchristmascakeplease · 01/12/2010 21:29

I'm subscribed on facebook to opendoors it's constantly surprising and upsetting and educating me on all sorts of things to pray for everyday that are happening all over the world to Christians. Praying.

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 01/12/2010 22:22

Thanks for your prayers folks. I am struggling. It's been a week since my dad passed away I can't believe how quickly that has gone. On Monday I had a miscarriage, it was very early but I am struggling to understand His plan. I am staying at my parents house and couldn't tell my mum what was happening to me as I knew it would probably be the last straw.

I am now struggling feel I have lost my grief got my dad but also haven't been able to act normal about losing my baby. Where's the love?

MaryBS · 01/12/2010 22:28

LBADG, you've been through a lot, is it any wonder you struggle to understand? Holding you in prayer, as I commend you to His love. The love that passes all understanding. The love that is still there, even as we are numb with grief, or as we rage against injustice, or simply when we shriek HOW MUCH MORE GOD DO I HAVE TO TAKE????? God IS, God LOVES, God GIVES. God bless you. And everyone else too...

amberlight · 02/12/2010 06:47

LBADG, oh goodness me I am so sad to hear of your news... Praying hard for you. Is there a friend or a miscarriage organisation you could contact if you need to?

Prayers for everyone.

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 02/12/2010 07:09

Apologies for my self indulgent post, wish I could say I'd had a drink but it's not true, just completly lost I think. Won't turn this into another one just want to say thanks ladies x

amberlight · 02/12/2010 08:01

LBADG, it's not self-indulgent to ask for prayers for what you're going through. It's very sensible - this is an awful bit of life for you....

MaryBS · 02/12/2010 08:04

Don't think you can't ever ask for prayer LBADG, its not at all self-indulgent, as Amber says!

I would welcome prayers for discernment of God's will please... Xmas Smile

DutchOma · 02/12/2010 08:56

LBADG It's such a mistake NOT to ask for prayer, or to think that it is self-indulgent. The Bible encourages us to ask for prayer, Jesus Himself says to come to Him in prayer for everything.
You have issues of life and death affecting you, literally. We stand with you, which is all we can do and do with gladness and gratitude.

DutchOma · 02/12/2010 09:00

I have asked for the Afghanistan post to be withdrawn. Sadly it was a hoax.

TooBlessed2spendxmasalone · 02/12/2010 09:02

LBADG oh my,so sorry you are going through this, and asking for prayer is the selfless thing a person can do,and we are supposed to ask for it,we are here for each other,to uplift each other and to remind each other how much our Heavenly Father loves us,we will keep you in prayer and yes God loves you, sometimes it sounds like a clique-sp- when we say that but He does,,

madangelhaironchristmasday · 02/12/2010 09:11

LBADG please don't think it's self indulgent to ask for prayer. Not at all. You have been through such a horrible time, my heart goes out to you. Mary's lovely post sums up what I think, that even though we don't understand, God is there, God is with us. 'Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, your perfect love is holding me still...' I pray you'll get a glimpse of that perfect love amidst your grief for your dad and baby. I am so so sorry.

DO praying for you.

Hermya poor you. I also had a colicky baby and used colief. It's unrelenting isn't it. All I can say is you'll get through it though I know that's no help in the middle of it. Praying.

madangelhaironchristmasday · 02/12/2010 09:12

Oh can I add a prayer request that a friend emailed to me, her friends 4 yr old son has been admitted to hospital with suspected leukaemia :(

PositiveAttitude · 02/12/2010 10:27

Just wanted to let you know I ma praying a s I read through.

Special hugs for LBADG and DO.

Swaliswan · 02/12/2010 13:41

Very quick post before I have a nap.

Huge hugs for DO and LBADG.

A practical suggestion for Hermya - have you thought about trying cranial osteopathy? Our DD was colicky and refluxy until I caved and tried it out of desperation when none of the medication/drops etc worked. It truly was a miracle to see the difference in her and we discovered sleep! I won't go on about it because I need to sleep and you'll make up your own mind as to whether you want to try it or not.

And a quick thank-you prayer... Thank-you Lord that we are surrounded by so many wonderful people and that we are forming great friendships with our neighbours. I wasn't sure that we would be happy in this house but you have clearly put us here for a reason.

CaptainDippy · 02/12/2010 19:34

Any news on your DF's 4 yr old MHS?? Praying. xx

Not a great day in DippyLand. Hoping tomorrow will be better .....

M44 · 02/12/2010 20:53

PLease pray for ds1- this cold weather has messed his eczema up terribly- his poor wee face is awful despite lots of emoillients. Also I am ill- on antibiotics for two weeks and so behind with everything.
THank you.

HermyaTheRedNosedReindeer · 03/12/2010 09:25

I don't know which one of you swapped my baby yesterday, but me and DS had such a good day together. He was so much more settled and content it was like he was a different child. We did have a fussy evening, but compared to what we've had I was better able to cope. Praise God!!

TACP Thank you for your message, I implemented a lot of the tips yesterday and DS seemed to respond rather positively. I tried to respond more to his cues and we had a major winding session after every feed, the result was a bit more of a settled baby.

Swalisman I have thought about it, but no idea how to go about getting one.

M44 Praying for you both.

LBADG Gosh, praying for you. I hope you're getting support from those around you.

Praying for you all.
