Cats castrated today - do they really need to stay indoors?

My little cutie kittens are seven months old now and have been to the vets today to have their bits done .
They are absolutely as right as rain, eating, drinking fine and desperate to get outside. Advice from the vet centre was to keep them inside for 10 days!
Anyone had experience?
Thanks in advance

id keep them in and follow advice. what happens if they catch their nads on a branch or a fence.....ouch ouch ouch ouch - they probably seem fine now cos theyll have had pain relief at the vets

both mine looked a bit sorry for themselves for a few days after the op. at least see how they are for a few days before letting them out. if you want advice why not just phone the vets back up?
