As I posted a few days ago, Phoebe hated the lead and ran away when she saw it. So I decided to just let her play in the garden for 3 days and didn't try to force it at all as advised by clever MNetters. She was a bit bored not going out, esp as I realised my mistake with her going to the woods so early so we didn't go there either, and was quite 'naughty', nipping, biting etc.

Anyway, she actually sat at the front door this morning and wined to go out! I put her on the lead and she was really enthusiastic! We walked about 700 mtrs to where I have left the car, not crying at all to go back home as would usually happen and then we went to a relatively safe local park where she played happily off the lead with a couple of other dogs

Clicker training is going fabulously, although we have limited this to indoors up til now and the 'down' is sorted Now we are practicing 'roll over' . Am very happy!

only had cherry for 3 days, will wear her collar, did ut a lead on her but she had no idea that she was supposed to move and stayed fixed to the spot.
We are trying to get her used to the garden, can't wait till i can actually take her out. , it's very exciting isn't it.

Perfect time of year for a new puppy too. Any chance you can post a photo?

Mn should have a dog board in the pets section where we can post pics of our gorgeous dogs!

Hurray, well done Phoebe, she is a good girl ! It's just brilliant when training works as it is supposed to.
