Any cool gadgets or vacuum cleaner recommendations? My red stair carpet has a white 'mohair' veil.

Tesco sell them, as do Argos.

Currys sell them.

My Henry has a lovely long hose, thank you MrsL

I bought a Henry Xtra (has big head )off the Numatic website for about £130 iirc. You can buy an extra, extra long hose whould you require it.

I reckon my hose is 3m and the long hard bit is a further 1.5m (oo-er missus).

Never tried Creme de la Mer. Eve Lom cleanser is good but Liz Earle is the same and about £3000 cheaper.

Have never coughed up £30 for a furminator but I use a £5 shedding blade with good results. And no bald cats!

Henry Xtra

Actually £117, plus £18 for reusable cloth bag which is HUGE

furminator is fabtabulous! I use it on my short haired GSD, wish we had one when we had our long haired, double coated GSD.

I love my dyson animal ball thingy - the only thing is is that it is very heavy, so not good for the old back.

no to CDLM tis rubbish - i find the best moisturiser for me is Olay regenerist.

oh what else... yes a dampened rubber glove sorts the hair on the stairs.
