I have 3 dogs. Greyhound, Lurcher and Spaniel.

I never intended to have 3 but DP (who can be soft as shite) came home with the Spaniel one day and he just kinda stayed.

Anyway now I have 2 DS's and DP works long hours and sometimes works away. I am finding it very hard to cope with it all.

My Lurcher is aggressive towards other dogs, and cats and rabbits and deer (they think she was a hair courser in a previous life) because of her I can never walk dogs and take DSs with me, so it means either me or DP getting up very early to walk them before he goes to work and then they get walked late in the evening when he gets home. I think for the sake of my family and my dogs that the best thing is for my lovely lurcher to be rehomed. SHe is about 8.

Has anyone got any advice on how to rehome a problem dog (or if its even possible) she is not aggressive towards humans. I will not put her back in the dogs home so please no suggestions of that nature.

I'll second that! They're brilliant, very helpful and informative.

Hello, I recently had a dog like that who went for other dogs and I couldnt walk her with DD. Actually I rang the Retired Greyhound Trust and they arranged a home to home transfer, she went to a foster home for a few days then straight to rehoming. Would it be worth ringing around rehoming places, (is there a lurcher rescue?) and ask if they can do a home to home transfer with no kennels involved. I was surprised I could do this, I wouldve done it sooner before we spent £600 on dog walkers.
