Bunny's eye has been pushed massively forward by something. vet could not feel anything and thinks it might well be a tumour deep in the skull pushing the eye forward. she also has an eye infection which she has got cream and antibiotics for.

vet said to watch out for her going off her food and withdrawing from contact.

she does not seem in pain or unwell, how long do these things usually take?

Sorry to hear about the bunny, Lulu!

I had to take one of our Guinea pigs to be put to sleep, pre dc. It was hard, but he was very poorly & like you, we didn't want to see him in pain. As it was, his decline was rapid too.

We recently lost a GP, again, rapid decline. We knew it was coming & monitored it, planning to take it to the vets, but she died the night before.

It helped dd to put a picture of her, with a flower & a note in a little box & keep it somewhere special.

Hope your dc are OK.
