We haven't got them yet as are awaiting for a home visit and then hopefully approval, but want to be organised.

TIA.

You can't insure them really. With pigs if something goes wrong its either relatively easy to fix or not fixable at all and they might need to be put to sleep. They don't incur the same costs as dogs and cats and they don't need vaccinating or anything.

Vets bills for piggies can be expensive. It cost over £100 for a hysterectomy for one of our piggies.

Petplan may do, but you would be better off putting aside money, as very little will be more than £100-200. The surgery/medicine just doesn't get as involved as a dog or cat.

I hope the home visit goes well

Thanks all.

We haven't got £200 we could just pay out so I will ask at the vets when I go this morning to take the cat for her jabs.

The home visit is tonight.
