I went to the pet shop today to get a cat bed and came out with a guinea pig, any tips?

Title says it all really, shes is about 6 weeks and i know nothing about guinea pigs, i had a hamster until recently and have 2 cats, any advice and tips on guinea care would be much appreciated,

they seem to be very happy, the 1st guinea, Gwen, is now making noises she hadnt made any noises till she was reunited with her sister Gabby.

Sounds like my husband. He once went shopping and came back with 72 cans of scrumpy jack, 2 pints of milk and a guinea pig (to add to our hoard). We have 8 GP's at the moment and they are lovely. My 23 month old loves them too and runs out to them saying 'shaun, shaun' - her favourite GP 'I love you'. She also knows Lila (delilah) but all the others are the rats.

Don't think the cats will find guinea pigs very comfy to sleep on................
