Just rescued a baby bird from my cat's jaws

I think it's a pheasant chick, it's not hurt, well not visibly anyway, just obviously very shaken! Don't know what to do with it, would it be OK do you think if we put it with chicken?

If it's pheaasant are you going to put it with the chicken until it gets big and then eat it?

It's at my neighbour's now, he's built a little cage for the chick in the garden, in the hope that the mother will come to get it. One of the hens is broody apparently, so hopefully she'll take to it if the mummy pheasant doesn't turn up.

TrillianAstra, I hadn't thought of that . Would it be weird to eat it after it's been rescued from being eaten by a cat? I'm not sure I'd be able to kill it anyway...
