Oh that's Misdee

Yes, I think he will ..

.. after a few days you may want to follow the advice here:

for you - yes very probably.

But he is probably not going to appreciate you introducing a new male and I don't suppose you want lots of babies so introducing a female isn't ideal either - and without wanting to induce further sadness, at 4-5 years old he might not last himself for a huge while longer..

Don't know what to suggest really - I only had girl pigs!

Sorry, trying the link again:

If you want to introduce another male it needs to be 6-8 weeks old. We did this successfully when ds's guinea pig died, but his brother was only a year old.

i know he isnt likely to be around much longer either

am wondering if a stuffed toy piggy would be an idea for him? is that crazy?

i dont want any more piggies atm, as much as i love them, i'd prefer them to be indoor pets and they cant with peter immune suppressed.

I don't think it's crazy, tbh I thought of that as an option as well, but I don't think it will necessarily work either! It might get much chewed...

I wonder if putting a little mirror in the cage would help Misdee? Might be worth a go ...
