We are about to choose a puppy from a litter obviously colour is not the most important factor but just wondered if you have a dog with a lot of white on and quite fluffy style of coat do you find it a problem

The puppy is acocker and we will be choosing between a blue roan adn a black and white, like the look of the black/white but wonder if I would be mking a rod for my own back.....of course we will probably vivit and fall n love with whichever one wethink we won't want but there you go

We chose the blue roan I'm afraid (But admittedly that was based on personality)

Cockers don't half shed.

Just double check its not deaf, clap behind it and see if it responds. Dogs with alot of white are more liekly to be deaf, I had a friend with a deaf cocker, he soon learnt sign language but he was hard work, he was a blue roan.
My SIL has a black cocker as she wears mainly black so the hairs don't show up too much!I had a mainly white collie, and a mainly black collie at the same time, I was permanantly covered in hairs!I'd choose on personality though rather than colour, or see which one chooses you!

either way, invest in lots of those sticky roller things for getting the hair off black trousers.
