Leni.

AtheneNoctua · 26/02/2009 09:30

My grandmother had one named Gretta. She was a great dog. She was a good guard dog but also was relly good with all the grankids. Good luck with the name.

Drinkypops · 26/02/2009 09:31

Elsie

AtheneNoctua · 26/02/2009 09:34

Any good?

I like the heritage of the dog to be reflected in his/her name so I would go with something German.

Tiggiwinkle · 26/02/2009 09:37

Lucky you!

We have a German Shepherd-she is 6 now, long haired and gorgeous!

They are adorable as puppies.

Babywhiting · 26/02/2009 09:38

My DP wants an american bulldog - they are manic - so i will only let him have one if we call it Captain Chaos

bruxeur · 26/02/2009 10:07

Or Eva, perhaps?

bella29 · 26/02/2009 10:38

I'm sulking.

Much too envious to think of names.

Can everyone please stop getting puppies/rescue dogs etc when I am SO broody for another dog?!

Thanking you.

Bella x

Tiggiwinkle · 26/02/2009 10:47

Same here Bella (and we've got 3 aready!

bella29 · 26/02/2009 10:48

Don't tell me that, Tiggi - I only have 2 at the moment.....

Do 4 cats and a hamster count?

hercules1 · 26/02/2009 11:06

I think we should have a thread for those who have 2 or more dogs! In fact I will.

Tiggiwinkle · 26/02/2009 11:17

They definitely don't count Bella!

One of our dogs is very old now-he is 15, but still running and jumping around!

DH looks at me as if I am insane when I say I would love another dog-I don't know how I managed to persuade him to let me get our third one!

bella29 · 26/02/2009 11:26

You're hopeless, Tiggiwinkle.

One of my main arguments (against myself!) for not getting another one is that my older dog is 10 now. Your eldest is 15?!

I have the added problem that my DH won't say no to animals....

Washing up, yes. Animals, no.

Babywhiting · 26/02/2009 11:46

id love a french bulldog too but dp wont pay out £3000 for one he says £600 is enough for our gsd pup

Babywhiting · 26/02/2009 11:47

oh does anyone know where i can get a cheap cage for our bedroom just whilst she is a pup already spent £80 on a huge crufts playpen for downstairs so dont want to spend too much on it knowing she wont be in it for long!!!!!!

OP posts:
Tiggiwinkle · 26/02/2009 12:16

I got ours from ebay-it was cheaper than the ones at petsathome and is good quality.

bella29 · 26/02/2009 12:17

£3k? You could have 5 GSD's for that

Ebay's good for crates - or have you tried the 'for sale' section on MN?

Babywhiting · 26/02/2009 12:26

thanks bella!!!!
